removing apps from app list without uninstalling them? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've got a few paid apps that have a second 'key' app that can't be hidden with a setting in the app (setDNS Pro, CamScanner Pro, 1 or 2 others). I don't like seeing what is essentially two entries for the same app in my list, so I was wondering if anyone knows a way to remove the 'key' app from the list without uninstalling it, so I don't have to see it in my list but while allowing the apps they belong to to recognise that the paid version is installed.
On a Droid Bionic with Liberty 2.0
thanks!

Launcher Pro allows you to hide any app from the list. I'm sure other launchers have this option as well. Another option would be to install Titanium Backup Pro, you can freeze the apps that you do not want and they will not run or show up in the list. Their counterparts will not break by freezing them.

did you install custom phonebook.apk? (ex. Xperia S apps)
1. if yes, try to install the original phonebook.apk manually and open it. (do not import contacts cause you contacts are still there)
2. then install back the custom phonebook.apk manually.
In my case, it solved the problem.
It just means that the process has had to stop, it must be linked into your applications. I get a similar issue on some of the bloatware.
Yep, quick google shows it as syncing issues, try clearing data on contact storage remember to backup first as it'll probably delete your numbers etc.

[Q] Problem with Market Fixer app

I wanted to clear "My Apps" list in Market from apps I'm not using anymore (e.g. apps I've just tried and instantly uninstalled) with app called Market Fixer:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5rc3R1ZGlvLm1hcmtldGZpeGVyIl0.
The problem is, that when I press Analyse Market Links, the program will check all apps I've ever installed (62 links total), but it brings up no list... just blank screen with text saying "DB check completed(62), no problem found" (see attached picture). So I'm unable to select and then remove links to apps I'm not using anymore. When I tap on "Load all links", it just brings list of all apps I have currently installed, not those uninstalled and still listed on Market's "My Apps".

[APP] Overlays - Hovering widgets (No Root)

While the Note 2 has great multitasking, and with root (or without) you can have multi windows for a range of applications (not just the stock ones).
But, as far as I am aware, this doesn't include widgets.
This app allows you to having floating widgets, which is brilliant, for a range of reasons. I am sure people will come up with many creative ways to use this app (setting profiles, even has a Tasker plug-in).
Great for running Google Maps with a Google Play Music widget or example

Have a play with the Free Version first, but the paid version will allow you to do more (setting profiles and other stuff).

Which stock apps can safely be removed?

I would like to get rid of some of the stock apps (Facebook, Evernote etc.)
I'm running stock V10c-EUR ROM (rooted).
Which of the stock apps can safely be removed? Either using ADB or Root browser.
I guess removing some of LG's apps could cause some trouble.
If you go into Settings/general/apps/ you can force these apps to stop and after that disable.
They won't show up in your startmenu anymore and also not in Googleplay.
My device is unrooted and I've disabled them like this.

Android system settings app that does have a "default equalizer app selector"

Android system settings app that does have a "default equalizer app selector"
From many different Android devices/ROMs I'm remembering the system option that allows you to choose which app you want to use as your default Equalizer, see the picture below.

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So for some weird reasons we don't have this option in newer Androids anymore, hence I'd like to know if there exists any setting app or apps that can offer the very option you're seeing in the picture.
Just to make sure we're on the same page: I do not want to enable/disable any app from the app manager each and every time I want to switch from equalizer, it just don't make sense to do such redundant things at all.
Nobody got an answer?
