Which stock apps can safely be removed? - LG G5 Questions & Answers

I would like to get rid of some of the stock apps (Facebook, Evernote etc.)
I'm running stock V10c-EUR ROM (rooted).
Which of the stock apps can safely be removed? Either using ADB or Root browser.
I guess removing some of LG's apps could cause some trouble.

If you go into Settings/general/apps/ you can force these apps to stop and after that disable.
They won't show up in your startmenu anymore and also not in Googleplay.
My device is unrooted and I've disabled them like this.

removing apps from app list without uninstalling them?

I've got a few paid apps that have a second 'key' app that can't be hidden with a setting in the app (setDNS Pro, CamScanner Pro, 1 or 2 others). I don't like seeing what is essentially two entries for the same app in my list, so I was wondering if anyone knows a way to remove the 'key' app from the list without uninstalling it, so I don't have to see it in my list but while allowing the apps they belong to to recognise that the paid version is installed.
On a Droid Bionic with Liberty 2.0
thanks!

Launcher Pro allows you to hide any app from the list. I'm sure other launchers have this option as well. Another option would be to install Titanium Backup Pro, you can freeze the apps that you do not want and they will not run or show up in the list. Their counterparts will not break by freezing them.

did you install custom phonebook.apk? (ex. Xperia S apps)
1. if yes, try to install the original phonebook.apk manually and open it. (do not import contacts cause you contacts are still there)
2. then install back the custom phonebook.apk manually.
In my case, it solved the problem.
It just means that the process has had to stop, it must be linked into your applications. I get a similar issue on some of the bloatware.
Yep, quick google shows it as syncing issues, try clearing data on contact storage remember to backup first as it'll probably delete your numbers etc.

[Q] Apps that use camera like QR readers have corrupted image with Jelly Bean ROM

I just installed the Jelly Bean ROM on my Galaxy Player 4.0. I used this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2333769
It works great, performance is like triple what it was before (my Gingerbread was seriously messed up), and it runs very smooth. The normal Camera app works fine too (camera support was preventing me from messing around with other ROMs in the past that lacked it). The problem comes when I use other apps that access the camera. I tried Google Goggles and Microsoft Tag (to read QR codes) and in both of them the image showed up like this, making the apps worthless:

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It's not a huge deal, since I mainly just use the Camera app, but it's annoying not to be able to use these apps. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas?

[Q] Blacked Out System UI

Im using the black contacts, dialer, and system ui(D851 ONLY) from hello00s international G3 themes thread. They are pretty good for a first version. Only a couple major flaws.
Is there anyone with a Sprint G3 that is capable of theming that can touch up so this works on Sprint 100%? A few places you can't see text. And System Updates force closes settings. That's really about it.
The contacts and dialer are flawless(dont install LG Tele Service, leave it stock).
Any themers up for a "little" work?
(DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THIS THEME IF YOU ARE NOT WELL SCHOOLED IN HOW TO MOVE FILES WITH ROOT EXPLORER, CHANGING FRAMEWORK FILES REQUIRES OVERWRITING STOCK WITH A FILE ALREADY SET TO THE CORRECT PERMISSIONS, NOT DELETING THEM AND REPLACING)
Sorry to yell but I forsee bricked phones trying to use this. I did once and had to reflash stock firmware.

[Help] My phone apps say my phone is rooted after I have rooted another device

Hello.
I used Magisk root on LineageOS on my nintendo switch and I logged into my Google account (which I also have on my phone). I didn't do anything on the switch itself, didn't download any apps.
After this, probably because of the Google account, bank apps, mcdonald's app etc. on my phone (s6 edge android 7.0) spit errors about my phone being rooted (which it is not):
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I never rooted my phone, especially not with Magisk (don't know how to). I tried unlinking my Google account from the switch, uninstalling Magisk, even flashing switch android ROM again and nothing changes the situation on my phone.
Is there a way to fix this on my phone's side?
Thanks in advance.
