This is with regards to the Samsung Galaxy S2.
The photo Gallery will splits up the pictures into different albums.
Is there a way to disable this and save all in just one album?
It gets worse when i whatsapp someone a picture. Then the picture will duplicate into a 'Whatsapp Album'.
Pictures saved from the web browser will be saved in another album.
Pictures taken from camera will save in another album.
Not exactly liking this feature. Can i change this?
Help appreciated. Thanks!

Click to collapse
1. Not with the default Album application. You could get a file browser app to do that from the Market, or another picture viewer application may have that functionality, but you can't do it directly within Albums.
2. No, sorry. Just those two albums plugins seem to be available at the moment.
you can make albums just make a folder (not in DCIM) then there will show a new albums on the start. thats that easy . if you put it in DCIM it will show up in camrea shots.
Hello all,
I am currently storing all of my photos in a folder named "Photos" in Google Drive. I would like to know if there is a way to bring up those photos in the Gallery app on my Thrive? Also when I upload new photos I would like them to show up in there as well.
It is annoying to view the photos in the google drive app since you can't view all the thumbnails largely all at once and browse quickly.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
I'd like to know this as well.
*bump* I'd love to know this
Stock Galaxy S3 - Android 4.1.1
I can only use photos taken by my phone as contact photos.
If I go to gallery, and select any picture from the camera album that was taken by the phone ( internal or external storage ) I'm good to go, but if I select a photo from any other stored or edited album I have created, and try to set it as contact photo it will bring up the phone book, allow me to pick my contact, then allow me to crop the picture if need be, but when I click done, I get a black screen and no photo is assigned to my contact.
In other words, if I have downloaded a picture from a text, email, or just transferred from my computer, I can never get that to assign to a contact. I even tried dragging these photos into the camera album and repeating the process.. but still no luck.
I have an application called Deja office I use for contact syncing as I use ACT contact database on my PC to maintain my contacts, and although I can assign photos to my contacts through that app, there is no editing capabilities when I do it that way.. no cropping, resizing, etc.. and the photos look like crap. Reason why I mention that is the app takes over the editing capabilities of contacts direct from the phone itself and I can't edit a contact through the normal samsung phone book.
But with that said... strange I can change any contact photo as long as it is taken by the phone itself via the camera gallery(s), and cannot with any other photo??
I searched for anyone having a similar issue.. and seem to be all alone? Anyone.. anyone??
Thanks!
Problem solved on my own...
Found out that the only contacts I could assign photos were one's also in my google contacts. Those that were set up just in Deja office would not allow me to edit photos.. period.
I synced all my contacts to google, ( didn't really wanna do that ), but merged them and combined duplicates and now I can update the contact photos.
If a mod wants to delete this thread.. go ahead. It might serve some purpose for those that use Deja Office though.
Cheers..
I am trying to find a way to set Facebook pictures as my default contact picture. All of my contacts that don't have a Google picture will default to their Facebook picture. If they have a Google picture then it defaults to that instead of the Facebook picture. Is there a way to do this? I used to be able to click on the picture and it would give me the option of which one to pick. I have a Verizon Galaxy S3 with Jelly Bean. I have Facebook set to sync only existing contacts. Thanks!
Be happy
Use this application:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.luckydevs.facebookphotosync
I'd prefer not to use any applications to do this. I know it can be done other ways. Thanks though!
The best gallery I found so far is Google photos,
Cause I need a gallery that shows every photos in one place
BUT there is one problem it doesn't show photos from SD card in the main panel is there any way to solve this or maybe is there a better gallery app?
