[Q] How do I get my apps going from Focus to Titan? - HTC Titan

When I connect my new Titan to my computer and launch Zune, I go to the account settings, purchase history, it lists the apps I bought, but tells me to go to Marketplace on my phone to restore my apps. Do I then have to search Marketplace one by one to get all my apps back? Is there an easier way to get them all back at once?

windowsphone
go to www.windowsphone.com and log in to your live account.
go to "My Phone" and then account; and you can see every app purchased for every phone. just click on the app and say re install and your done..

Thanks, that got me to the right place, not working properly but I'm basically getting it.

Yeah it sort of works, you still have to click thru too many times for each app.
What it needs is a check box for each app and "install checked" option...

[q] how to restore apps from google account?

hey there everyone.. I just got my O1 back from the service center (after 8 days, one more day and I would have been writing from hell! ) anyways, they changed its motherboard since I had messed it up with clockwork mod and it refused to boot up. So what I have now is a completely blank phone. My question is how do I restore all the apps that I had downloaded and installed on my "previous" O1 by using my google account? First of all, can it be done? If yes, then how?
Even if I could get some kind of a list of what apps I had downloaded, it would be really helpful!
Thanks!

isn't that apps linked into account? I mean - when you login into google's account, than you should see in market paid applications.
If you mean only list of used apps at all - its not possible. I'm using AppBrain where this possibility is. You can browse market on web and just add application into list. After that in phone select synch with appbrain and it list you all application which you checked and you can install all of them by one click.
umm.. Earlier, when I used to go to the download section of the android market on my phone, I could see all the apps that I had installed but now, even after linking with the same email id, I am getting a blank downloads page. Why is it so? Am I making any sense?

I think that it have to do with market history. But if you have some new phone... it is possible that it was cleared.
I think it maybe cleared only. Anyways, gotta download them all again!

[Q] Adding 3rd party apps to home / Android market

I mainly plan to use my NT as a reader, but I am interested in adding Kindle / Amazon App Store / Android Marketplace just to have the access. I've been successful except for 1 thing.
I'm not interested in a special launcher as 90% of my activity is going to be straight from the NT home page. What I'm wanting to do is put shortcuts to the third party apps on the stock NT home page. Before you say it, YES I've read the FAQ.
The FAQ directs me to get "Nook Color App Manager" from the Android Marketplace. 2 questions:
1 - Android market won't let me D/L anything. I login fine with my Google account info, but it tells me there are no Android phones associated with my login and refuses the download. I can see the app on the screen, but can't get it. How do I get around that since I don't have an Android phone??
2 - I've read that with the newer versions, the app manager isn't going to allow me to put shortcuts on my home screen anyway. Can someone confirm or deny if this functionality still works? I'm on rooted 1.4.0 by the way.
Thanks all!

Try clearing the data and cache for the market in app management. That should get it to show up.

Not sure I understand what you're htelling me. Clearing the cache should get WHAT to show up?? Market won't let me download it. Tells me there is no phone associated with my google account.

I believe clearing data & cache in the Market app will force your NT to re-associate with Android Market.
I believe that is one of your aims.
It didnt work. I'm logged into the Android market through the web browser and my gmail account. Is that right, or is there a standalone app for the NT? When i click the web d/l link on the app I want, a popup comes that says something to the effect of "there is no Android phone associated with this account. Please sign in with another account."
Does that make sense?

It would assist others in helping you if you would differentiate between using the NT or your PC. (Both platforms have browsers and can access a Google account.)
There is a stand alone app for your device "Android Market". I believe it comes in the gApps package when using Indirect's root method.

Depends on if you are using the "Market" app or a web browser.
OK. I think I got it now. I don't like having alot of extra "stuff" on my NT, so I only used the root script to do the root and declined everything else. i went back and let the Gapps install, and it seems to be working now. Sorry for not be clearer in my original question, but all is well now.
Thanks again!
@Vol4Ever
Glad you got it working!

Market saying app is installed

I was certain this would be answered already but couldn't find one...
I've flashed hundreds of ROMs and have always been able to go to market.android.com and install apps (even ones that said "INSTALLED") but I just flashed a new ROM and now if I click on an app it says it's already installed on the device. Is there anyway to reset this data on the website?
EDIT:
Ugh. Searched for 30 minutes before posting this and couldn't find an answer - literally the next thing I read had the answer:

Login to your Google dashboard; from a PC preferebly. Else from cell is also fine.
There, scroll down to "Android market" and click "Installed applications"
This will open android market, with your already installed apps list, under orders tab. Click the 'Settings' tab here.
Hopefully you'll see your device listed here, but the nickname will be missing. At least that's what I saw. Edit and add a nickname, save changes.
Thanks ..just encountered the problem...I'm always switching ROM (very addicting) & 1st time I encountered this problem as well.
Yikes...My device is not listed ...Guess I have to add them manually from my phone

This happens to me when I switch ROM format or smartphone, but sending the install again, it works.
Galaxy S4 Solution
I had to reinstall ("repair") the software on my Galaxy S4. When all was complete, I had the same problem as the OP. I fixed it by:
Going to the app store via my phone--"play store" app.
Clicking the menu button (bottom left on the phone).
Selecting My Apps.
The missing apps had an X and just said free or whatever.
Clicking the app opens the window to install.
Obvious from there....

Talk system app, can move to hangouts

I think google talk is a system app so hangouts app says its installed when its the old talk app. Any ideas? Would need to flash a rw kernal to remove.
i figured out a trick to install it, Went to play store in web browser of PC and clicked install and picked phone. Icon still shows as talk app but opens as hangouts app.
Another update, removed from a dock folder back to tray and then it turned into hangout app, moved back into folder, all is well now.

cant stop gumtree downloading - help!

My handset wants to download Gumtree app. I do not even have the app installed (but it was a while ago). Anyway, in Play app I get "Gumtree ... Downloading" but the download doesnt start and its stopping other updates (which are queued for update). If I click on the cross to cancel it and go back to the Play "My Apps" list, Gumtree appears again and wants to download.
I cannot delete it from my account using the Play app under "My Apps->All" because it doesnt appear. It isnt installed.
How the hell do I get rid of this stupid app so that my handset can work again.
I can install apps and download normally so its not my internet/wifi.
I just want the account to forget about gumtree - HELP!
