[Q] How to sync EVO 3d to PS3 - HTC EVO 3D

I was wondering if you can sync your EVO to a ps3 wirelessly So that i can ay my music without plugging in my phone via usb. Thanks again

Ok if anyone wants to know its pretty obvious now what you can do. If you have HTC media share use that and your ps3 will find your device. Or bot use airsync and doubletwist.

Hey cool man, thanks, I might use this media share thinger.

works well. It's what I use. Comes with the phone.

Streaming Movies EvO 3D

I have Netflix and wanted to know if I could stream Netflix to my TV via HDMI, would it work? Lastly whats the name of the cable I need thanks.

I think the 3VO has the Mini HDMI Port removed completely. There is a wireless streaming option on the phone that you can activate and choose which folders you want to share.....being that your TV has Wireless. I have a work around for mine....hooked up wireless through my comp and my comp is connected to my TV and Projector. Unless somebody out there has something different to say....that's my best solution for you.
Oh I thought the EVO had hdmi intergrated in the mini usb port, I need to look at the spec sheet again.

There is such a cable and its called a Mhl adapter. Tmovile stores have them. Just go in and look or order online. Don't even bother asking store reps from anywhere cuz they all have no idea what an mhl adapter is.

Got my adapter from t mobile. It works somewhat. Displays in 4:3. Quality is not great.

I downloaded the HD netflix.apk from the developers section of this forum. Using the mhl adapter I purchased from Sprint, I get full 16X9 video from my 3VO to my HD TV.

SprintUSA - the download link in your signature seems to be incorrect. It just takes me to another posting which links to itself. What am I missing?

You use that app and your wiimote? I was under the impression the wiimote doesn't work with HTC devices. Am I wrong? I hope I'm wrong!

With this phone it works now! It was a great revelation when I tested it and it worked!

Not sure why, but i cant get this working. ugh
Correct me if im wrong but that app only connects to other android devices through bt not actual controllers
Sent from my EVO using xda app-developers app
To add to the confirmation list: my Wiimote works flawlessly through Bluetooth with this phone.
HTC fixed their bluetooth stack this time around I can't vouch for PS3 controllers (although I should give it a try...) but if they connect to the app through bluetooth like the wiimote, it should also work.
I Co firmed above it works. Use it for any game now

PS3 won't see DNA?

Can't seem to get the DNA to be detected on my ps3 through the usb. Never had an issue before with other androids.
Anybody know a fix?

me either ):
I haven't had my galaxy nexus or htc droid be found by my ps3, I think it might be a jellybean thing, especially since they don't have sd cards, and Windows sees then as mtp devices.
Last night I downloaded a dlna server app, worked pretty good for me. Watched pictures and videos from our ski trip.
The app "media server" worked well for me.

Let me know if this works.
In the meantime, the DROID DNA supports the wireless N standard, so if you have a wireless router supporting wireless N, it should increase your transfer rate.
The PS3's wireless adapter doesn't support wireless N or newer standards, so I suggest connecting the PS3 via ethernet port if possible. This should greatly improve local streaming speed.

barely use it since its not convenient to pop out as it was on the OG Evo.
I've probably used it a handful of times at the most.
I've found it useful for using my phone at the table while eating to read articles and such.

I use it almost daily. When browsing and eating, Netflix, and reading articles.

I like having it. I had the original Evo, and was upset my Evo 3D didn't have it. That said, I rarely ever use it! Lol. I never watch TV shows or movies directly on my phone. I use my Asus Infinity tablet for that. If I do watch TV or movies on my phone, I stream them to my HTC Media Link. My TV has Netflix, YouTube, an Internet Explorer, and other apps built in to it, so I just use that sometimes. The Media Link is great, I use it quite often!! I pay for DroidTV, so I stream it to my Media Link from my phone or just use the special HDMI cable to hook up my tablet. The kickstand is a GREAT feature, and I hope the next Evo has one as well, even though I may never use it either, lol

It's really nice when you are trying to show a video to a group of people: just prop it down and everyone has the perfect angle. Then start the "oohs" and "aaahs" as they see this amazing phone.

[Q] Can I use my Evo LTE and a webcam for Skype?

So here is my set up:
Rooted Evo LTE:
Windows 7 64bit
What I am trying to do:
Get my phone to act as a webcam by USB so I can video chat on skype. .
You can but you'd have to dl one of those webcam apps from the play store, and the the computer client that goes with it. I haven't had much luck, but other people have gotten it set up before.

Why don't u just Skype from your phone? R u looking to throw it on a bigger screen? I think I tried using my 3d EVO as a pc webcam and never was able to get it to work no matter what app I tried
