You can also create a folder for this purpose on your internal sd.
Creating a folder -
- In the root of your internal sd, create a folder named media.
- Within that folder, create a folder named audio
-Within audio, create folders named notifications and ringtones
- From here, put desired ringtones in the appropriate folder and reboot. They'll show up in the selection screen.
There are more than a few apps in the market that will do what you want. Ringtones, Ringdroid, and there are others.

SMS popup works good too

Ha, overlooked that part. I found this. Seems to be what you're looking for. There's also a free, but limited version.

Yes SMS pop up works for seperate contacts

Pushing an apk.tho root explorer

What are the steps to push apk tho root explorer? I have a wiget picker apk.if I put it in my system / apps what happens to the old wiget picker? Or do I replace the old one with the new apk?

So take the old one move it to another folder and paste the new one in system / apps then that's it?

By push it u mean just move it rite? Or copy and paste?

Don't get wrapped up on terminology. Push just means to place or paste in the system/app folder. Just a fancier way to say it.
Thanks still new to all this

This is makin its way into all new releases, and thats awesome cuz its such a great feature. Its really a behind the scenes sorta thing. Root explorer is your friend and push/pullin files is really simple just be careful if pullin out of /system, as noted make backups of any originals just in case. And always remember to have a nandroid of ur current firmware.

Bluetooth receive only media files.

My device is atrix. It doesn't receive apk files, it receive only pics, videos, and music only. Is there any solution for this problem. Thx

I know I was having problems downloading (some) APKs from the browser before installing "Download All Files" from the Android Market. Not sure if this works with BT also, but its worth a try.

It's possible. Just go to the "Now playing" window and press the settings icon in top right corner of the display. The first first menu item on the drop down list will allow you to create and play an instant mix based on the current song. The instant mix will now show "Playlists".
You can also go to "Songs" and press the triangle in the bottom right corner of a track and create it from there.
Thanks but I don't see the instant option anywhere. I see add to playlist but that is just a normal playlist with the album or song added to it.

That's weird. When I'm looking at the exact same screen as your screendump, I have the option just below "Add to queue". What version of Play Music are you on?

Hmm, I'm on the same version... You could try clearing app data and see if that helps.

So, all your songs are stored locally and have not been uploaded? That's the reason - they need to be uploaded in order for an instant mix to be created.
Makes sense. Thanks for the help

Anyone know how to stop Google Music from automatically creating Instant Mixes? I've never created one myself, yet when I go to my Google Music main page, there are several Instant Mixes that appear. I've tried looking through the settings, as well as searching online, but am unable to figure out what is causing this. Any help would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks very much.

Custom Ringtone from mp3/mpga????

Another 'tard question.
Running SnowJB, and created a custom mpga to use as a ringtone.
Cannot find the solution on how to set it as my ringer for the life of me...
Just put audio files in /sdcard /media/audio/ringtones and reboot to kick the media scanner in.

You should be able to just use an app to rescan the sdcard instead of rebooting.
THIS for example. There is a non-root version too.
