combed through the threads in the rezound and didn't come across this so thought i share.
The Rezound has a built in feature like some other phones to take screen shots without the need of Root or paying for apps.
simply press and hold the "power button" and press "home key" and you got a screen shot.
That's great to know! Thanks for posting this!

its not a black line, its jsut cut off. the screenshot doesnt save as the same resolution as the screen; it's a little thinner..it sucks lol

Ok your right, I see what Cares is talking about. Not really a big deal it does capture the whole screen just as you said doesn't display in full resolution so you see a small border.
Short video showing the screen capture in action.

it's not cut off. the screenshot is taking a higher resolution shot than the resolution of the display.
display: 1280x720 (720p)

16 pixels right side = blank = black line.

do you need to have sense running for this to work, I.E. rosie launcher? I de-sensed my phone and this doesn't appear to work. I assume it is not "hard encoded" obviously, so I would assume it is a sense feature I lost?

I wanted to do this so that I wouldn't have to press down as hard on the screen, mainly for using S2U2, but this registry key does not seem to exist. I searched the registry for 'threshold' and could not find the screen setting:

Is this possible on the mogul? Thanks.

No. not possible duue to hardware limitations. Pressing is required because of the type of touch overlay used.
This isn't a capacitive touch iphone! thank god!
When you align your screen if you use the softest touches to align it with it will make it where you dont have to touch so hard. I know it sounds crazy but I run into this issue once and realised that I was hitting the screen too hard during the calibration.

You don't like the iphone touchscreen? Why not? I wish windows mobile devices has screens like that. I do know that pressing is necessary, but how hard you must push is a setting.
Thanks for the tip about the calibration. I will try that.

It's capacitive meaning you must use your finger. I like being able to use a stylus, pen cap, finger, gloved finger, finger nail, etc, etc, etc.

I don't think this is likely. If this were true, someone could write an app to capture the touch pressure and change, say, the width of the brushstroke in a painting application (like a Wacom drawing tablet). I'm pretty sure that touch pressure for these screens is limited to ON and OFF, not variable levels.

yeah the quickgps is deffinetly a placebo. I've thoroughly tested using and not using this on 4 different titan's with mixed/random results, and conclude, that it does absolutely nothing.
QuickGPS to clarify (this is now off topic of the thread) saves empheris data from the internet to a file that on the original phones would be checked and the data loaded properly to use. On the titan however the file is stored, and is never checked again. Many of the people responsible for giving titan users modded phones have stated this fact. Yet n00b's, no offense, continue to preach that it works and others follow along.

Good enough for me. I will not be using it from this point forward. Thanks.
just to keep the spunk alive in this thread,,,,
as for the screen pressure.. I was pretty sure that they are xon xoff too... and that pressure sensitivity has no premise in these phones... until..........
and I may be speaking out of my arsehole,, I had loaded up a couple big apps that sucked up a bunch of memory, and at first i thought my screen had quit responding, because when i would click it with the stylus nothing would happen,, but I pressed real hard one time and it worked,, I went back to normal pressure and it didnt work,, i tried with normal pressure 5 times and no go.. then the 6th time i pressed hard and pow it took it,,, i continued doing this just to test it out,, and it did the same thing over and over again until I decided to soft reset.. then all was back to normal...
so maybe I had so much buffering or something going on with the other tsr programs running, that it caused a glitch in the pressure threshold of the screen...
just a thought,,,

For me it would be fine if ut had the s3, but it would have to ship with ics. Without ics, the s3 will suck, with not as much android developers wanting a 2.3 device when most phones coming out with ics in a month.

Whow man lol just kidding. I necissarily (sorry typing fast) dont care, i just want either ics or the exynos lol.
Exactly no one will really care all that much if it has a physical button or not. Yes it defintely looks cool and I'd honestly prefer it but the search button is nice in some cases each way I'm sure has an advantage. As for me it also boils down to hoping for ICS and exynos. Though I'm getting the phone regardless of what's in it I want the note because of what it does and being somewhat unique.

Would ICS fix the lag that the S3 is supposedly to have during games and such? Sorry I've been researching betwen the OGs2 and the skyrocket and everyone seems to say the ogs2 is better because of the lag on the skyrocket and worse performance in gaming.

From what I've noticed on my captivate it has given a performance boost and is way smoother than GB. Also while the S3 is slightly slower then the exynos the true difference in speed is a lot of the time exaggerated. I believe with ICS it'll be amazing but even just GB S3 performance will be fine and hopefully an update will roll out quickly.

Actually many people will care a lot that it doesn't have a physical home button. I won't be getting one because of that (unless they somehow manage to implement LTE without losing the Exynos processor) because it is SOOO much easier to wake the phone with a physical home button than to hunt for the power button on the side, then push the power button and half the time the volume goes up or down since the dumbasses put the volume rocker directly opposite it. I have an app that puts a power-off in the notification menu, btw.

I don't blame you. The design is screwed up with the placement of the power button.
It would be a HUGE mistake. Only people who have used these know. You would not believe how hard it is to used that side button. Not only that, but it's placement makes its IMPOSSIBLE to use without hitting the volume button.
I'm not sure if I can deal with this. Maybe, maybe not. But I can tell you this for sure:
All HELL will break loose if this is the case, after people realize what the issue is. THis forum is going to be crazy with complaints.
But this phone is better than anything if you use the s-pen. I mean, WAY better than anything. It's like a mini Tablet-PC. It's gotta be the coolest and well designed gadget this year...really. If they nix the button it's ATT's fault, and not Samsung's design.

You may already know this, but there are apps that allow you to turn off the screen with a long press of a capacitive button.
What is the app that someone has to do a power off from the notification menu. I totally agree that having to power off from the side is a pain and I am always changing the volume.
Now we have ics and we can use the asus supernote app.
It's a fantastic app for take a note, draw ecc

Hi everyone, I just got my HTC Amaze yesterday from Mobilicity. I came from an Evo 3d, so this isn't much of an upgrade but I'm enjoying my new phone so far!
However, one little thing is bugging me. There seems to be a pinhole in the side of the phone and it's apparent when the capacitive lights are on. I can see the light leaking through. Pics attached.
Is that a manufacturer's defect? Or is it typical?
I'm still within the timeframe for a refund/exchange, so just seeing if it's worth exchanging my phone...
EDIT: Apologies for any confusion. I meant the small pinhole of light on the edge of my device. I've updated pics to emphasize the part I'm referring to. The screen bleed isn't a huge issue for me, just that little pinhole of light that annoys me.

Only light leak I get is the buttons leaking onto the screen, but it's no anything bothersome, only shows on dark backgrounds, you should get it exchanged if possible.

You can exchange all you want but you will still have the leak. I have one same area as yours on two devices and vote showing leaks in upper right and bottom right. To be honest it's really not that bad though. Phone has good power so I tend to let the leak not bother me

If you use speedrom by eclipsremix the tweaks in the settings menu have an option to turn off the bottom button lights which will get rid of the bleed. At first it is a little ruff getting use to not being able to see them real well but after a day or two you get used to where the buttons are and you won't miss the lights at all. And actually it may be in the energy rom also bit I'm not 100% on that. But definitly works on speedrom. It's a great rom too especially if you like aosp. Very fast smooth and very nicely themed

This leak isn't the fault of the buttons but the screen itself escaping at the side for some odd reason.

Yes I saw that in the pic you posted but there is also bleed from the bottom buttons. If I were you I would try to get it replaced and when you do then you can turn off the bottom lights to prevent bleeding on the new phone.

I doubt it's possible. Keep in mind that the 2nd screen is a different width from the main one. It doesn't go all the way to the left side of the phone. Not sure how you'd capture a single image that is made up of two images with different widths.

I would have guessed they would be stitched together with the remaining area left black. I would settle for two separate images though. Or even being able to screenshot only one or the other and having the ability to choose which.
This is the thing with Lg. When they come up with a new feature they only give you so much at a time.. The next model of this device or possibly with the mm upgrade it will add some features to second screen. Most likely though they'll wait til the next v whatever..

Well the Tmo version will be getting it.. They're already showing it on their page as in the starting process of building it.
