Hi,
I'm trying to install demo of the game "World of goo", marketplace claims that my viewpad 7 is not supported, that's'why I've downloaded apk with demo from developer's page.
Unfortunately, during installation I've recieved an error: "Application not installed". I've freed device memory (now I've free 97MB) but it doesn't help.
thanks in advance for Your support,
best,
Dzeus

OK...so I am a noob and it will show with my first question (so please go easy on me)....
I have an .apk for Words with Friends that is optimized for Honeycomb that I downloaded from xda developers forums (Its landscape and works well on Honeycomb from what people have said). I own the Le Pan TC970 which is on Froyo 2.2 and rooted. Is there a way to make this app work on this device with this OS?
I also want to add that I have tried sideloading the .apk I have downloaded and I get an error saying "there was a problem parsing the package." I sideloaded by tranferring the .apk from my PC to the memory card on my LePan and then tried to install from the stock file manager.
Thanks so much in advance for any help!!

No. The framework and API's in Honeycomb are higher versions (and set differently) than in Froyo, hence the "error parsing package" error.
Hi guys,
Does anyone ever encountered this problem?
Some app on Playstore listed as Not Compatible.
And even when i sideload the app (manually download and install), it gives error like it described in screenshot.
Any clue?

Hi i've been browsing the forum trying to find a solution but however i'm limited by my knowledge.
Basicly there is an Game/app made built by GameMaker but the target system was not meant to support AndroidTV. I'm trying to run this game on my nvidia shield.
I sideloaded the app and whenever i launch it i see the background of the game as if it was going to work and then the app crash and i get the following error message :
Incorrect android target. This executable targets android TV devices. This build is for android".
I've download Apk Studio / Apk tool and i tried to find out in the code where would that check happen and how i can allow AndroidTv devices to run this app. However i don't see much in the manifest file that would stop the app from running in AndroidTv.
Anyone out there with more knowledge can chime in and give some ideas ?
Here is a link to the app i'm trying to modify.
