[Q] X10 flash issue?

Today I finally got around to try and flash my X10 phone that AT&T refuses to update. I really went into this not really knowing what i was doing, so basically I was throwing this at wall here not knowing what'll happen. So I got a firmware .ftf file and a baseband file put it into my firmware folder and the flashtool said everything was alright. So now my X10 just goes through an endless loops of the boot logo for Sony Ericsson and then goes black screen and a blue LED (supposedly this is the Push-to-Talk LED) shows up. So now I'm wondering.. how exactly do I restore factory default on it without being able to go into the phone itself?
Just want to put this out there, I did use the search function but got no results, probably my internet giving me trouble
Thanks in advance for any help!
Use SEUS to restore to AT&T 1.6 first,
then go to the flashtool post to find a 2.1 global generic firmware to flash into your phone.
I think there are youtube tutorial vids showing you how to do so.

[Q] Baseband Upgrade Led to Bootloop (X10a)

Hey guys, I think i made a pretty nub mistake just now, and im just looking for a solution at this point. I have an x10a on At&t, and I finally got fed up enough with 1.6 to try and update to 2.1 or higher. First option was the official update that came out at the end of May, so i went ahead and downloaded pc companion and attempted an update. Companion recognized the phone fine, but when i hit update, it said my phone was "up to date" which is BS, i was on 1.6 under the phone's settings. IDK why it didnt recognize it as 1.6 (possibly due to a failed root attempt i had done a few months back) but regardless, i went onto xda to find an alternative.
This led me to flashtool and the noob guide. went through it, downloaded the at&t baseband update, as well as the generic 2.1 update and the tool itself. I wasnt sure about the order, so i went ahead and just installed the baseband update first. (i dont remember the exact numbering of the original baseband, but it was something like 1.xx.xxx, as far as i remember...) flashtools flashed 2.1.65 (X10a - AT&T) successfully, but once i was suppose to unplug the USB cable, restart the phone, and enable the debugging mode, the phone was already bricked. It now boots to the white lettered 'Sony Ericsson' on a black background, then the screen goes dark, and the LED in the top right corner turns white, and the process repeats.
Help me out guys!
Much appreciated.
You have to flash generic firmware 2.1.A.0.435 first. Then if you really want baseband 2.1.65, you flash it over firmware. I don't recommend flashing the AT&T 2.1.65 baseband, because there are known text message problems and it limits data to 3G. You will get "H"-HSPA or 3.5G.
Btw, the baseband is not a separate requirement from the firmware. The firmware includes the designed baseband. The baseband on X10A generic 2.1.A.0.435 firmware is 2.1.54, which works great for ATT and you will be ready for the official 2.3.3 Gingerbread update directly from SE when available.
Here's a good noob thread for updating ATT X10a.....

Hi, glad you sorted your problem. Mine is stuck in a boot loop.
when I connect in flash mode with flashtool displaying its screen, the tool detects my x10a and does its stuff...trying to install busybox ..etc. I have attached a cut n paste into text file for a log of what is happening.
the disconnects are the phone.. not me unplugging.
the phone has not got any motherboard probs. its restarts are soley due to this flashtool fail.
now put a second log with debug level selected

have i busted my phone ?

just removed the root with odin but i put 3 network firmware on & its stuck on 3 network splashscreen back and forward with galaxy s2 screen, should not have done that i made a mistake ?? should i have put 02 firmware on as i think that was the simcard the previous owner had in it,but my vodafone sim worked in it ? what have i done ??
ive now tried 02 & vodafone firmware & they are both stuck in splashscreen loop
ohh my god now i think i remember it was orange it was on
will this do anything to the phone if i keep trying all these firmwares ?
f**k sake all doing the same thing i honestly cant remember seeing a network splashscreen on the phone when i got it,how can i sort this mess please help
If you can enter download mode, you don't have to worry and everything will be fine. Just take your time sorting this out and not making stupid mistakes. I've seen people with the same problem, to really screw up their phone because they had no patience.
1) Hold down home, power, and volume UP. This will enter recovery mode. If you are using CF-Root, you'll get CWM recovery. If not, you get stock recovery. It doesn't matter which appears.
2) Choose to wipe user data from the menu.
3. reboot
If it still does not boot, flash again the rom of your choice.
ps flashing again and again does nothing bad to your phone
hi,when i go into recovery mode i have odin mode with picture of android & says downloading do not turn off,how long does that stay like that & i have no wipe data coming up,lastnight i removed root from phone i tried all diffrent stock roms voda,o2,3,orange & they all do the same thing,i just want the phone back to factory default
hi mate thats done the job but ive got orange network stuff on the phone ? can i redo it with vodafone stock ? & is there anything else i should do like factory reset & update via kies ?
and thankyou very much
Instructions boot to RECOVERY mode not boot to download mode .

[Q] Unrooted, stock and soft-bricked(??) after official OTA update - is there a way?

hi,
For a day now I've been trying to figure out the way around my problem and I couldn't. But I'm just a beginner, I hope you guys can help.
short version: After official OTA update my stock, unrooted GT-I9300 boots only until one of the logo screens. I want badly to keep apps data, especially sms'es and voice recorder files. Downloading the update via KIES in download mode repeats update procedure but then again the boot ends on samsung logo screen (the one with just 'samsung' letters if that matters).
longer version: I've been using stock ROM forever and lived happily with stock ROM on Android 4.3 (except for laaags) Yesterday I went to check if an update is available - it was, so I downloaded it. It was all fine, I got to 'optimizing app 222/222' screen then the phone rebooted. It went through GT-I9300 screen, carrier screen, and in the end it stuck on pulsing LED and letters on the screen: 'SAMSUNG'. And now it happens each time I turn the phone on. I can still go to download mode easily and to recovery mode too.
I've reinstalled the update used KIES (2.6.3.14044_14) with the phone in download mode but that gets me to the same place (optimizes all 222 aps, reboots and hangs up at the same sceen).
Is there a way to have this fixed while keeping apps data?
this thread gives me hope there is, since there are 'NO WIPE' files, but sadly this one is only for US Verizon, not international..

my device:
Samsung Galaxy S III GT-I9300 (International), carrier - Orange Poland
Android 4.3, no root, Stock ROM
There is a good chance you only need to factory reset the phone but in that you will lose your data. You can try odin and flashing the latest stock rom for your phone (orange poland). Do not flash any other carrier, do not do anything with a pit file. Do not attempt to go back to the old firmware unless it was an earlier 4.3.
Get your carrier update from samsung updates and a copy of odin.
Put your phone in download mode via vol down +home +power and then connect it to the pc on a usb cable
Open odin, click "ap" or "pda" (same button, different versions) and select your poland orange 4.3 rom and then click "start".
Wait until the phone fully reboots and odin says "pass". Disconnect the phone.
This shouldn't wipe data but if this doesn't work then you have to bite the bullet and factory reset.

thanks. I tried various firmwares - branded and non-branded, current and a previous one (but also 4.3) - but I still got locked on the same screen. After factory reset it stayed on the very same screen for a minute, but then it came back to life.

Bricked S6 need working firmware

So I accidently copied over or erased my backup while flashing and now I have a bricked phone. It hangs on the charging logo and doesn't do anything. I'm pretty sure I can't even get back into twrp but I can get into download mode.
At first my phone was working but the mobile network was erased and sim card didnt recognize my phone.
I'm looking to find stock firmware for the G920F.
I bought the phone on amazon and I have no clue what "region" it is.
I've found a few stock firmwares on sammobile but everytime I try to flash them in odin it crashes right away or hangs forever and eventually crashes odin.
Do I need to somehow remove twrp first? I'm new to this and feel pretty lost. Just trying to get my phone back to stock for now.
Anyone?? I have no clue what to do anymore.
