I have been getting an "all circuits are busy" message while trying to access my voicemail *86 today. An incoming call gets the same message when trying to leave a voicemail.
Anyone else have/had this issue? I've only had GV setup for 3 days and its been great so far.
Thanks

Sounds like its not set up properly. *86 is not used for gv, but rather the market app. Also you need to forward your missed calls by dialing *71<your Google voice number>(send)

I was having the same issues last night. People calling me said that they were getting "all circuits busy" and "number not in service" while trying to leave me voicemail. I haven't changed my GV setup since I set it up months ago.
I haven't had any calls today yet, so I don't know if it's fixed or not.
Update: Just had a call go to voicemail and it worked just fine. There was a GV update yesterday in the market; I wonder if Google was having trouble with that...?

Has anyone gotten Google Voice working on their AT&T Note? It errors out when I try to switch to it via the app or through settings -> call -> Voicemail service.
Mine works just fine without setting it up at all. I get visual voicemail and everything.
Reinstall and run the setup by launching the app

I got the same error over and over, finally got it working by manually putting in my google voice number into the call forwarding settings, worked right away

Same issue here.
I'm having the same issue.
---------- Post added at 03:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:24 PM ----------
Actually i take that back, i tried again and it worked for some reason.
I had this problem in order for me to fix it i went to google voice from my computer, deleted my phone from the list in google voice and then set my phone up again from my computer. after that it all worked fine.
Similar problem - just Error with no more information and an OK/Cancel button
Re-install didn't work.
I ended up using the code from GV to "activate" the phone and that set all the forwarding numbers. It appears to be working, but doesn't say that Google Voice is the provider.
Still would be nice if MMS would work with AT&T/GV, especially since the messages just get dropped.
I had the same issue. Make sure it says ATT in carrier when you log into google voice (the website). If it doesn't, try to redetect it. Mine still showed Sprint for 48 hours before it detected I was actually on ATT.
Also entered the codes as mentioned on this site:
http://kalsey.com/2010/10/using_goog...cemail_on_att/
The important part to save you a click through:
"Second, open up your phone’s dialer and dial the following, replacing 1234567890 with your new Google Voice phone number…
*61*1234567890# (then hit send)
*62*1234567890# (then hit send)
*67*1234567890# (then hit send)
You should see a message appear on your phone after each time you press send. This will set up your AT&T account to take all calls when the phone is busy, when you decline a call, or when your phone is turned off or out of range and forward the call to your Google Voice number."
After doing the above I was able to change Carrier in settings to Google Voice without any problem.
Alternatively, you should be able to dial *004*xxx-xxx-xxxx# (where xxx-xxx-xxxx is your Google Voice phone number) and press call and it will automatically set everything up as well.

This is what I did and it worked perfectly.

Using either the single code or the individual codes, the forwarding numbers are all fine, but I still cannot change the provider to Google Voice. I don't know that that hurts anything.

caderoux, you should be fine. As long as the forwarding numbers are there it should automatically go straight to your G Voice inbox. You can always call yourself to double check...
Just had to go into Settings->Call->Call Forwarding and set the "Forward when unanswered" to my Google Voice number. For whatever reason, "When busy" and "when unreachable" were set properly, but the "when unanswered" wasn't being set by the setup process. However, voice worked fine once that was manually set.
I was also having problems manually setting it up, so i called the *004*xxx-xxx-xxxx# code with my google voice number and its working perfectly now.
Setting up through Gvoice did not work.
Dialing the code on my phone gives me a "call cannot be completed" message.
I had to go into Settings->Call->Call Forwarding and manually set all three forwarding numbers.
Edit: I just realized I was missing the # on the end of my gvoice number. The code worked when I put it in correctly.
I can't get this voice mail icon out of my status bar I click it it dials my voice mail and says it's empty I already set it up any ideas please

looks to be a bug at this time.. I have the issue as well as many others I know. If someone's got a solution that would be great!
call your phone and leave yourself a message and access your voicemail via that notification icon.

I solved it by leaving a voicemail for myself from another phone. After I deleted that voicemail, it went away finally.
The problem I always had was that my phone number automatically forwards to google voicemail.
The solution i found to work is this:
1.use that notification to call t-mobile's voicemail system
2. when it says you do not have a VM, press (2?) to send a message to another user
3.Enter your number as the recepient
4. leave a short message.
5. send it
Now hang up, use the notification to call your VM box again, and you will have one message to delete. this got rid of my notification. happened last time I upgraded to the G2X as well. This is not device specific. it has something to do with google voice.
Well ty that did the trick leaving a message to my self ty to all who responded much appreciated

That worked for me, but then later I got a voice mail from somebody else and checked it. Deleted it but the icon remained. So I had to call myself and leave a message and then it finally cleared. Hopefully it doesn't happen all the time. It's pretty annoying.
Go to settings>application manager then go to phone. Clear data. Icon disappears.
I had the same problem. I called t mobile at 611 and the lady walked me through the process. My problem was tough because I had Google Voice as my voicemail, so that overrides tmobile voicemail. Anyways, she basically erased my google voice voicemail and set up the new voicemail with tmobile. Icon is not there and I got rid of that stupid google voice.
OK, I've been afraid of Google voice for a long time after seeing all the horror stories. But,...it also has some really nice features.
I installed it, but 2 days later realized I couldn't make or receive calls. I've been googling all day for hours, spent over an hour talking to sprint, and just cannot get it set up. At this point, I have no voicemail service (other than sprint longpress 1)
If anyone is SUPERfamiliar with Google voice, and has a few minutes to spare, please hit me up at my [email protected] for gtalk.
Much thanks.

Scott. Just going to bed bit the set up should be relatively seamless. Especially since you would be integrating fully with your sprint number I would think.
I don't know why it would keep you from making phone calls though.
You may need to log onto your gmail account on a p.c. to get the settings all set up.

Thanks Nate. I didn't see that one, I'll have a look. I installed it, it seemed to work, then I went to web and disabled call screening, that's the only change I've made, and after that I couldn't make/receive calls.
Had to play with a lot of sh1t and get sprint involved yo make calls again.
I'm thinking that in settings, my device # and my Google voice # are the same, maybe that's the prob. Like its using the final # as the forwarding # as well. I know I'm doing something wrong.
Really hoping for a long-time GV user to chime in.
Thanks to all.

Aarrggghhh
That web page says the same thing that's going wrong. It says when you install it, you can choose whether GV handles calls, intn'l calls, etc. It doesn't. It just installs and asks you to pick your gmail acct and done. That's it.
When I open phone>settings>voicemail, I should be able to choose between 'my carrier' and 'Google voice'. Not so. Google never shows up. My carrier is he only option, ever.
from my flying AOKP'd Evo LTE and xda premium
Oh, also, I've reinstalled Google voice and I'm logged in to it, but when someone calls me and I Dont answer, it goes to sprint voicemail, ...Google voice never even tries.
WTF am I doing wrong?
The main # is the same as the GV number and I suspect that's the problem, just can't find how to change it.

Reset google voice app, go to the website and disable the number wait roughly 15 minutes. Go ahead and forward again and enter your number wait 15 again. Your.number should show up as mobile sprint google voice enabled. Then go to gvoice app and it will ask if you want to integrate, integrate and it should just load messages

Enter which # at the website, my sprint #, or the other number I just noticed that I think is a Google voice number I created several months ago?
Sorry, this setup just has me really confused.
Thanks.

You enter your sprint number
I think I got it. I went to log out and for the first time ever saw the option in settings to make calls from Google voice, or make only international calls blah blah. Looked for that yesterday and swear it wasn't there.
Anyway, logged out .
Went to website a few minutes later
There was an open dialog window that has never been there before about 'you can SRT up Google voice on your sprint device, would you like to?'
Never seen that before. I chose yes. It called my phone and I had to type in two identification digits and done.
That had never happened before . Waited 5 min. Reinstalled voice app. Integrated. However, that 'make calls from' option in settings is now gone, weird.
Thanks on and Nate.

Woohoo!!! Got it. Case closed.
Mods feel free to delete . Sorry to waste everyones time.
from my flying AOKP'd Evo LTE and xda premium
its not a waste, its just a bit confusing with the changes they've made, gvoice app has gone through 3 major changes and the site had an overhaul not long ago, and several layout changes
Sometimes when I receive a call, I'll answer it and it will play the person's recording of their name and say "press 1 to accept or 2 to..." What's going on? Never had this happen on any other phone... I'm completely stock. Thanks.
Do you use Google Voice? That sounds like your calls might be going through GV. Just a thought.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
I didn't think of that... But... I only use it for voicemail and it has never happened in my other phones. I don't use google voice for calls.
Hmm. Well maybe when you set up voicemail, somehow it also set to have your calls go through GV? I might would double check the settings just to make sure. I know one time I had a similar issue and checked the settings and saw it was set that way. I don't know why... as I didn't purposely set it that way... so I apparently did something on accident.
