Hello,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830, And my charger port has rusted (Due to water damage apparently) and I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a replacement charger port.
I look everywhere on the web and cant seem to find find one.
Any help would be great, Thanks in advance.
Kai
u can get to buy a compatible charger online, or just to charge with USB。
http://www.amazon.co.uk/MAINS-CHARG...GJ7O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1322915462&sr=8-1
I need to part what the charger goes into on the phone.
Sorry for the confusion, but thanks

here is the link for this dock http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/samsung-desktop-dock-for-galaxy-s2-p29959.htm
The description doesnt mention that it is made for syncing.
The customer reviews also confirm that it is only useable for charging.
thank's i've made mistake if i new it before i would not buy it
Okay this one is simple, for someone who has change the charging port on a galaxy ACE. Is the charging port the same on a Galaxy ACE than it is for the rest of the Galaxys, i ask because i used a T959v port on a Galaxy ACE, phisically they look pretty much the same. In fact, perfect fit! But after a very clean install for some reason the phone is not charging and i dont know why?? So my guess is that even though they look alike its not the same configuration. If someone has done this before please let me know...
To me it's like if the charger fits in the phone then it'll charge
I sometimes use BB charger and it works
Be kind everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle
yes it should work, sometimes i use the htc charger of my girlfriend to charge my ACE
when it fits perfectly then it should charge or you have to reboot maybe this will solve the problem
OKay thanks guys but im talking about the internal pin layout. Thing is that i have lots of galaxys t959v and i9000 ports. As far as im concerned it fits on the infuse, captivate, vibrant and the already mention galaxys. When i opened this 5830L i found out that as far as the eye can see the port is the same one also. So i changed it, it fits pretty clean, in fact it looks like stock but the phone wont charge. For some reason Galaxys charging ports have 7 total pins. Its the only phone as far as i can remember that has that many pins. Since the regular USB port is 5 pin configuration my guess is that the Galaxys have at least 2 pins that are jumpered inside the small plastic that protects the pins. So my question is, since i have used a new t959v usb port, could it be that the pinout layout for the 5830 is not the same than t959v?? Like i said, they look the same and fit the same but maybe, just maybe the 7pin configuration is different...
Give it a try
TRY DIFFERENT CHARGERS. Even though it ''fits'' It still might not charge.
I've had this problem in the past.
Give it a go.
Hope this helps
I have no personal experience in this but i would suggest you to find the part for the galaxy ace and the T959v for comparson. There might be some hint in the model number, maybe...
where can i buy the SAMSUNG GALAXY s2 GT-i19100 USB replacement board ?
the problem im having is the phone is :
thinking its charging when not plugged in
thinks it is getting plugged in and unplugged so i get a relevant audio signal sounding sometimes
i have tried cleaning with vinegar and things improved for a while ,but i think its on the way out and needs replacing
I've seen a REV 2.2 on Amazon for £8 or a REV 2.3 for £19.95 not sure which one to go for or cheaper from somewhere else ? i have read about the signal issues after changing this part and don't want those issues myself ,thanks for your help in advance , great forum !!
Hi everyone I broke the micro usb port on my i9100m, so i went on ebay and bought a replacement but when i replaced it my phone will not power on. When I remove the new usb flex pcb and remove and replace the battery it powers on. What I am wondering is if the markings on the pcb have to match because the original says," SI 1 129 GT=I9100 REV2.2" also a chip with 225A and the new pcb says,"R.B53 GT-I9100 REV2.2" with a chip says 106A. AS far as everything else both parts look the same.
I am wondering if the part I bought is the wrong one, or if the new part is damaged?
If anyone has experience with repairing this the Dock Connector Charging Port Flex Cable on SamSung Galaxy S2 II i9100M, I would love some advice.
BTW this is the link i bought from
http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=180961316856&view=all&tid=926807674008
and I have posted pics of the two parts.
Just looked on ebay and i looked for a new replacement but there are many parts that are supposed to be for i9100but they have different writiing on the pcbs which is weird because they all say they are for I9100.
THANKS IN ADVACE ANY HELP IS APRECIATED
Hello All,
A friend of mine has just did something interesting to his Galaxy S2, he cut a microUSB cable, connect it to his car's electricity bypassing the 12 V to 5 V converter (car charger module). And he might also plugged it inverted (GND and VCC swapped).
So he basically supplied 12V DC to his Galaxy S 2
Does anyone here has any experience like this?
What is the verdict? Could it still be repaired? maybe by Samsung service center? or cannibalized for the screen? I don't know how far did the 12 V go into the phone circuitry....
I think the phone is totally death after this kind of experience, isn't it?
Thanks,
Cheers,
Widita

He fu**ed up his S2's motherboard, he needs to change it, just send it to service center.
