I recently wanted to flash the Glitch v13 Kernel, It flashed just fine but i have ran into wifi not connecting, and it says error below The word "WIFI" in the toggle in settings. Now, this didn't happen when i was using the stock kernel for MIUI.us. im Running MIUI.us version 112020. I think its the most recent. So can anyone help come to a conclusion on how to fix my wifi problem so i can use the miui.us rom and glitch v13 together with no conflict?
Any Info is welcome
Reflash the ROM - but dont wipe anything. Just go to CMW and flash it. Clear Dalvik/Cache too.
After that you can reflash Glitch.
I have tried reflashing the newest version of miui.us which is 1.12.2 i think then glitch and it still didn't work. i also tried the version before that and it still didn't work :/. and i made sure to Wipe the dalvik and cache each time too.

How did you flash and what baseband are you running? I did a factory reset, flashed stock recovery, flashed stock 354 rom, flashed streakmod recovery, flashed 1.9.1, then did a Dell factory reset. Sounds worse than it really is. I haven't experienced your problem (nor other problems posted by other users) and can only assume that flashing over a fresh stock rom install in some way helps.
Did a cursory test of wifi tethering and it seems to work fine.
Paired my old iphone 3g and browsed a bit and no hitches.
Have you tried doing a factory reset? Installing streakdroid leaves all data in place so reinstalling is only half of it

Im pretty sure did the same thing more or less.. i forgot to mention that it used to work until i tried to create a password for users to connect, upon trying to change or enable a wep code, the activity crashed and since then, it gave me errors everytime i try to enable tethering...

*Update* - I installed a WiFi manager app then setup up the password for the connection and the toggle works even if WiFi manager isn't running anymore. I couldn't find any way to setup WiFi without the app though.
WiFi worked before I flashed Euphoria.
I must be over looking something and cant find anyone with a similar issue. Thanks to all the info on this forums I have rooted my phone and flashed my first rom (ICS Euphoria RC2.1). I have done the following on my Samsung Vibrant.
-Used Odin to go back to stock RFD
-Rooted
-Installed CWM
-Wiped data/factory restore and cleared cache
-Flashed ICS Euphoria RC2.1 (from what I've read WiFi should work on this rom)
Wifi Toggle does absolutely nothing, no icon shows in the notification bar and I am not asked to choose a router. I can't find WiFi settings either (besides to make the toggle appear or disappear).
A few days later I cleared cache and installed the optional ICS Kiss Kernel from the link in the same post as the rom (no change).
Did I miss something? I couldn't find an MD5 code to make sure my download was good. Should I Odin back to stock and try again?
Dunno if it will make difference...
Try to download it again (if possible using firefox for stability)...
Do all the process again... but dont forget to mount and format /system folder...
I flashed the ICS Euphoria ROM for Samsung Vibrant, but now I cannot connect to wifi and my phone doesn't pick up my network (neither does it search for it). I have not flashed the kernel yet because I do not know what I need to wipe in CWM Recovery before installing it.
So how do I flash the kernel, and how do I get my wifi and mobile network working again?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
EDIT: i flashed the kernel after wiping dalvik cache, but its still not picking up my network or wifi
EDIT2: WIFI works now (I was dumb) but still no carrier signal. It just says No Service. Please help.
EDIT3: turned out it was the ICS Euphoria ROM that was at fault; i have Passion now and it works fine.
RESOLVED BY MYSELF. THANKS FOR THE HELP
Hello All,
I'm not to this forum. I'm having a very strange issue. I had unlocked and flashed a scotts clean rom to my phone. This rom worked fine. It was the cleanrom standard 4.4. Everything worked fine, but I wanted to try something without sense. So I followed the instructions and ran scott's wipe program that wipes 5 times over. Then I did a wipe on the device. From there it got stuck in a loop where I would boot it into the hboot and it would try to load that weird PH89IMG file and then reboot and do the same thing.
Believe it or not I resolved this by removing the SD card then booting to recovery then slightly lifting the battery and inserting the sd card in and mounting so that I could load another rom after mounting it. Just to be safe I did perform one more wipe. I loaded the CLEANrom tapped edition. It installed and booted up just fine, only one problem. I cannot turn the wifi on.
So I cleared the cache and Dalvik cache, rebooted. still no wifi. It sits on turning on. The wifi mac address is obviously unavailable. It went to an error evetnaully, but there was no detail in it other than the word ERROR. I tried reloading the ICS kernel as well, still nothing. I didn't see anything in the forum on this issue, so I am not sure why it's isolated to my device. can you help me?
Thanks.
I know your tired of wiping and flashing but this has happened to me before on a previous Clean Rom version. Wipe then reinstall ROM. **Caution** Before you boot to Rom, boot to recovery and flash the kernel that came with the Rom. That cleared up my broken wifi. Also beware that if the Clean Rom tapped edition uses a different base ie. 3.14.605.05 or 3.14.605.10. then you have to flash the Stock Rooted RUU of 3.14.605.05 or 3.14.605.10 and then wipe and install ROM. link to stock RUU:

I have had this issue with a couple newer ICS ROMS I have tried and it all seems to come down to reflashing the Kernel. Even after updating Nils' Roms to newer versions my rezound would load up fine and everything worked except wifi. If I went back into recovery and reflash the kernel wifi would be back to normal again. Make sure you have the correct kernel designated for that ROM as I have noticed some Kernels need to be redownloaded and reinstalled seperately. Good Luck
Hello,
I am having the same problem and I am on Rezound Pure GSM sense 3.6 rom.....I am confused whether to flash the wifi modules for the new kernel from the above link....I don't wanna take any risks as I finally got my GSM working on atnt.
Thanks!!
Today I flashed KA12 Rom, and GPS has stopped working correctly, it's imposible to get a lock, even after several minutes of waiting. I've searched the recent posts but nobody seems to have this problems. Any suggestions to fix this? Maybe wipe all/reflash? Any ideas are welcome .
Btw, previously I was on stock firmware 6.1.A.0.452, and I used ICSv14 kernel to flash the rom. I had to reflash the SSpeed Kernel after flashing the rom because wifi didn't work.
Well I ended up flashing the rom (KA12) again and no luck. Using gpsstatus, I restored a-gps data but no luck either. The app shows that it detects a lot of satelites, but it just can't get a lock, sometime it does for some seconds but then nothing. I suppose I'll just try to flash another rom to see what happens. Still, any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.
Ok, I fixed the problem. Just in case anybody wants to know, here's what i did. Had to wipe everything using DoomKernel, then flash ICS Kernel, and finally, flash stock firmware again. Only that did the trick. I'll give KA12 a second try, hopefully I don't get the problem again .
Did you wipe dalvik Cache and cache after installng the Rom. And after the rom flash Again the kernel. That normaly fixes all probs
Yes, I tried everything. As I said, only wiping everything and flashing stock rom again fixed it. Anyway, GPS is working ok now, thanks anyway.
