I can't seem to get away from Go sms. I love the themes and the layout. Also like the fact you can batch add contacts to send mass txt easy. All in all a great sms app.

I used handcent for a while until I tried go sms. Never looked back.

I tend to use just the regular Messaging app. I mean, I tried GO SMS, and...I liked it...but for a guy like me who's constantly flipping ROMs, it seems like way too much hassle.

Wow sorry, figured since it was discussing apps then the apps section would be where to discuss apps.
Infraction for posting something in the wrong section? Never seen that on any forums before and I'm a super mod/mod on a few forums.

I want use it to monitor certain forum for new post /thread, hope it has a function that can notify me when a new thread is created.
Thanks for helping.

You dont need an app for that, just go to the sub forum you wanna monitor and choose subscribe under "forum tools". The option may be different for each forum but look around, there should be a way. Once you've subscribed, they'll send you email notifications on new posts/new threads for that particular sub forum.
maybe tapatalk can help you.. with widgets otherwise subscribe or go for rss
So, I just asked this question in the CM7 thread, but figured it didn't hurt to ask to all Tbolt Developers...
Is there any way to backup your contact links? For instance, I linked a bunch of my phonebook contacts to my facebook contacts, but if I perform a full wipe those links do not get synced and I have to manually relink all of the contacts again (which takes quite some time!).
I noticed that the Facebook for Sense contact information gets synced, but after a wipe the regular Facebook link information does not.
I am running CM7 RC0.6 and really want to flash the newest ROM with MR2 support, but want to do a full wipe first and would love to not have to re-link all of my contacts to facebook again.
Thank you!!
Cool rom bro... what features does it have? Screenshots?
I used to have to go through all that as well on my old Eris. I never discovered a way to back them up so I just changed my contacts name to match their Facebook names and no more problems.

Do you think if I backed up and restored Contact Storage with titanium backup the links would be preserved?

Bruce, this thread belongs in the general or q&a section. Please get it moved by contracting the mod. This section is only for dev threads like roms, kernels, radios.

I have the same issue, though with time (and deleting lots of contacts/renaming some) it appears to pick up most of them and relinks about 20-50 at a time over the course of the few hrs it takes to sync completely.
edit: Also, yes this thread should be moved to the Q&A section.

Is there a software or program that can be invisible on installed apps list, can save text messages to sd card and can track location remotly activated by text or something like that.

"Eset Mobile" can send you location updates via text messages.
I don't know about reading SMS remotely though. It's worth a look anyway.

Yeah, caesura allows spying...it's not encouraged for anything but parents who want to monitor Childs activities, but it allows monitor incoming texts. www.gundersoft.com/pages/downloads/caesura
Send feedback to [email protected] or post on the dev thread

Something more like a keylogger that will send keyloggs vie wifi to an email account or a phone?

Hey guys. I'm just wondering if I could get a hold of this .apk. and I was wondering would it work if its a replacement for my system app (messaging).

I believe it relies on the miui framework so you can't just take it out
Supra-charged 3D
It would be great if some dev made a sms app that looks exactly like Miui's, it's really nice looking
If i recall correctly, someone already is.. check around in the forums.

This is the thread you are looking for:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1461693
i cannot find the download link in the post, or in the market. And i apologize for not being specific, i would like the Miui messaging because of the popup feature when you get a text message. I realize that go sms can do that, but i hate the UI of go sms and other sms apps alike.
so it's impossible to have this app?
Moved as not software release.... [Q]
As already noted it's the MIUI framework it relys on.
The link posted is [WIP] Work in progress he's a dev with many projects and not enough time "as most are" it's the best we'll get on release to MIUI messaging.
Been using handcent since my first android great app! But recently it started not sending picture messages but every other message app i try including stock (cm11) will send pictures. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix it? Ive uninstalled it and reinstalled it wiped cache factory reset (other issues too) its really annoying and i really like the app.
I think this needs to be in that questions section. This would be an app question. Or might wanna check you apn and make sure it's all correct.
