After a long battle with my cpu lol.. i got together with xkape and Versatile1 over on the droid bionic forums to see if i could port over their theme GuidingLightBlue... After porting i added my own little touch to it and thats how we get BlueNeonSteel.. Please note that the majority of this theme was made by Xkape and Versatile1 two of the better themers you will find in the forums.. Make sure if you use or like this theme u seek them out for a thanks or small donation..My idea was to keep the glowing nature of their theme and add some other little glowing tweaks of my own.. If android recovery wipe data did not do it then it sounds like maybe sbf time.
I have to sbf all the way down to 2.3.4, then install update to 2.3.5?

Are you sure the theme was for the version of rom you are on? But like Ash pointed out in future just pull battery and plug in before doing a wipe. Should take you to BSR and then you could restore..

Did you reflash the ROM before flashing the theme?(poison)
I believe it is recommended by Kevin to do that
Not sure exactly why but apparently flashing poison over another theme is a high chance of bootloop

I usually reflash a ROM and reboot twice before flashing a new theme
Safest way to do it next time you try
I also wipe cache and dalvik before flashing the theme (not really necessary but I never had a problem doing it like this) just know if u wipe dalvik it will take forever to boot since it has to rebuild fresh dalvik cache
The theme has to be made for 2.3.5. If that theme wasn't updated and is still made for 2.3.4, that is why you got the boot loop.

I dont really know which themes are made for 2.3.5 since Im not on it. But most of the newer themes usually say in the title or the first post if it is. And if the first post was last updated before December, it probably isnt since I think December is when eclipse was updated to 2.3.5.

guess what guys new revelation in market... amazon works...appbrain does not....blapmart does.....blackmart alpha does.... so we are getting closer to narrowing down the culprit i think... cause its not anything to do with installing or downloading has something to do with the market app and its hand holders ...IMO.. also
ive done this myself just now... restore a backup of a fully set up aokp then reboot to recovery wipe caches flash gummy flash gummy fix permissions reboot and enjoy a fully setup gummy mionus market unless you use the ones i listed
if someone wants to can test the no full wipe coming frrom cna and cm9 for me dont try it with miui (unless your brave) its very different and likely will cause issues... thanks guys please report if you do

try trebuchet or apex make sure you have settings checked also im on Test2 so might be different than test1 I made quite a few changes
new test up and working on the market issue i think i found it a smal was telling it to look to /data when we use /data/data already edited and will be recomping in a bit might release tomorrow though
also please report your experiences folks so I know where we are on this try what I've tried.... flash on top of aokp,cna, or cm9 that you have fully set up then report if it worked try some alternate markets... thanks guys

- One thing I am having issues with is when USB is plugged in and the phone reboots, it begins to bootloop. Will try again on test 2 and report back.

just flash a ROM like shostock that well change you're build.prop to an i9100. Or modify the build.prop.of the ROM you're flashing then flash it. I believe you can prevent it from checking.

Please reinstall Kernel or use an other Kernel. Status 7 Error comes most of the times from a bricked CWM. Dont worry this cant brick ur Phone completly. ^^

Difference is updated MIUI and always latest CM9 nightly. cMIUI do a great job.
I only started it to get more performance, stability and smoothness. I do my best to fix all problems. ^^

^^^ this. You can either do what Moto suggests, or if you're not technologically inclined, just flash any Rom based on an 9100 firmware like shostock 2 (now version 3) and then wipe and flash this. It'll update your build.prop to show i9100.

Well it appears to be a port(?) from the i9000 galaxy s, hence the i9000 in the kernel but that could be the issue right there. You need a vibrant kernel. Really the biggest question is how did you flash a ROM but don't know what it is? The name should be in the OP.

When I first flash this ROM my phone was bricked. after many trying I could get rid of this problem. Though I bricked my phone but I continued trying to flash this kernel and at last I succeeded. Now it has some problems such as calling problem which I told my previous post. Secondly I can't hear music in loud speaker !!! I noticed that last night. But the phone is speedy, faster. No I have no front facing camera. My phone is vibrant sgh t949. And in recovery mode I can scroll options without volume up, down button by touching. But before I can't touch In recovery mode. There is also file manager name AROMA in recovery mode.

OK you mean t959...... I am not sure which ROM you are using now but try and flash the ROM in the link, both links are the same I accidentally posted it twice. Be sure to read the op carefully and follow instructions. I am going to provide you with another link for Odin in case you run into trouble but you should be okay. I check these threads daily and will try to give you support in any way I can.

Yes. I'm trying. i have no internet connection last one day and i am downloading my previous apps from play store. i accidently deleted all of my backups. Now i'm downloading AIO VIBRANT TOOLBOX. it's 200+ mb. but i don't understand the very first link (Hellybean 4.1 link). there is no specific download link of this ROM. By the way I will try another vibrant ROM by the second post's link.
Edit: Now.. Odin isn't recognizing my phone in my computer!!!!!!! I have installed exact driver. last time when i bricked my phone. it worked in my fried's PC. now i have to go there, because his PC loves my phone not my PC. i don''t know why this is happening !!!
When it rains, it pours. . You'll be okay. From the issues you are having when you get to your friends house, I would definitely Odin back to stock JFD and start fresh. You seem to have the wrong kernel for your device. So start over and you should be ok.
When you go to hellybean thread in the first post there is a link that will take you to Devil website. Hit the download link it will take you to rootax files. Locate the hellybean 20120813 allinone.zip. and hellybean add ons and DL.
After you go back to stock it is recommended to flash GB boot loaders. Next,(full wipe) Flash cm9 nightly, reboot and wait about 10-15mins to allow time for files to finish, then(full wipe again) flash the hellybean allinone.zip, reboot recovery, (no wipe)flash allinone.zip again (no wipe) flash add on zip, fix permission and reboot.
Give 15mins to let it settle then setup and enjoy.

Finally I flashed my phone by the real ROM. Thank you so much. I used cyanogen mod 9 Stanky. It has no problem with my device. All my problems such as phone calls, volume up-down are corrected. Now it is Glitch recovery mode. Not devil and this recovery mode is not touchable. Thank you so much.

After flashing I didn't get into play store or any Google apps . But when I entered into Google apps such play store, gmail it didn't enter I mean forced closed. So I flased the Devil Addons. Now I have two gallery and two camera otherwise all of them are correct!!!

The apps that are force closing, go to settings, apps or manage apps, forget which its called and the find the app in question. Force stop it and clear data. Should work after that.

Apparently the ROM has gapps baked in and the hellybean add on is for jb not ICS. You can try and manually remove but it would probably be best to reflash the ROM. (Full wipe)
If you want jb go to the hellybean link I gave you and follow op directions.

Yes i have downloaded the ROM you said. I will try this. Now i am using the SKANKY ROM. PROBLEMS AFTER PROBLEMS.(BUT I AM NOT TIRED BECAUSE I WANT TO BE LIKE YOU, I AM LEARNING) NOW MY GALLERY, WINAMP, GOOGLE MUSIC CAN`T FIND THE SD CARD PICTURES AND MUSIC FILES. thanks so much for working on this device, I coudn't believe when I saw someone was posting about it so recently. I am still desperately searching for a SM-G360P ROM without carrier lock. Could you tell me which Stock-Rom (Boost/Sprint/Virgin etc.) this ROM is based on? Do you think it's possible to deactivate the carrier lock in a ROM at all?
Also: Have you found any custom roms for the 360P or tweaked some to work on the device?
I installed your modded ROM and really like the modifications you did. Great job! Now, if the phone would accept my SIM-Card instead of showing "Invalid SIM", I'd be totally satisfied

I'm not too sure about the carrier lock, I would think with a SIM it would work on any GSM network, but that's not always the case. This is the Boost Variant and the firmware is the latest, G360PVPS2APE2.
So far I've not found anything other than modified stock ROMs for the device, but we have everything we need besides someone who can actually build it from source. At one time Blazer64 had CM11 on his Core Prime, (his was s820l through Straight Talk) but I think the project was abandoned. I can modify, but building from source isn't even possible with my current dinosaur of a PC. Lol

I'm not 100% sure my SIM-card isn't detected because of a carrier-lock. I brought the phone from the US and now use it in Germany, so that may be why...
Having Lineage on my SM-G360P would be a dream, maybe some day a dev feels up to the task. I'd even invest some money, if somebody was willing. It's not even because I particularly love the phone (I actually have a working Huawei phone), but simply because I don't feel like throwing it away. Damn all these manufacturers for abandoning their models so shortly after release.
Do you perhaps know how one would get into ROM-building and Modding? Are there any decent resources you know of?

Yes, check out @tdunham Unified TouchWiz Guides and Mods thread. There you will find (near the bottom of the 1st page) a link to Custom Settings by @ficeto. You can download it and use it instead of ROM Control (which is for 5.0+) to use the mods. Also @venkat kamesh has a signing tool that I used to resign the Custom Settings app after I modified it.

Alrighty, I looked through the list (holy cow that's crap ton of customization, suck on that Apple!) And I couldn't find where I could make my phone's notification area look more modern, just like you have on your modified ROM. Do you know where can I find that? Thanks!

I did that on my own, you can decompile my SystemUI_ESS.apk with apktool and check it out. Most of the changes are in Notification_Header.xml, Status_Bar.xml, and Status_Bar_Expanded.xml as well as /values/Colors.xml and /values/Drawables.xml.
Make sure you search through all of the various values folders because there are different Colors.xml and Drawables.xml for each screen size. Same with /layout which is where the other 3 files are. (mdpi, hdpi, etc.)

Excellent work with this rom. I was finally able to get xposed working on this phone after flashing your rom. And the twrp for this rom works great. I like the bootanimation you made, I tried to change it and was unable to. Any suggestions? I tried putting bak at the end of every file and even added my zip to the folder with no avail. Help me please @RealWelder And one last thing, I get this annoying pop-up that my software has been updated every time the phone boots and I can't get rid of it. The xposed apps notify clean and receiver stop are useless for it. I tried disabling system software update apps with root uninstaller pro and still nothing.

The bootanimation should be pretty easy, just replace bootanimation.zip in /system/media/ with you own. (Or use an app like JRummy's Bootanimation app.) I'm not sure what's up with the update, unless Boost finally did one. I don't have a SIM or service on mine so I would be unable to get it currently. I'll see what I can figure out, though.

I did put my zip in system/media and even put bak at the end of every boot file. Before that I tried the Samsung boot animation app and it didn't work. Hence the reason why I tried other options. I'm going to try.again one last time. I'll let you know if I have any progress. And thanks for your response and also great rom.

Hey just don't worry about the boot animation. Once I got Xposed and all the Xposed apps up and running, I did a backup. Good thing too, messing with the boot animations made the phone to work real slow. I said to hell with it and just did a restore in twrp. As much as I would want this phone to boot like my Samsung tab 4 with the Stargate animation, it doesn't seem worth the effort. So don't trouble yourself messing with it @RealWelder. I appreciate what you did with this rom. Changing the architecture to an arm7 I believe. Well anyways, Xposed accepts it now. I can't thank you enough!

You're gonna need some tools. Apktool.jar or other program which uses apktool to decompile and recompile apks. It's also a good idea to keep newer and older versions of smali and baksmali.jar(s) because smali code has changed a bit and sometimes you have to baksmali with an older version and then smali with the newer version to convert code. Next you'll want to go check out TDunham's Ultimate TouchWiz guides and mods thread. There you will find all of the tutorials and mods.

You don't install that zip just extract it into a folder on your computer and then find a thread that explains how to use it. My instructions will help some, but it was written for a different device so the frameworks that you install be different.

Hey man, I was just wondering. Can I install a custom ROM from a different phone? Like Sm-g360h? I don't care if I can make phone calls as long as the ROM works? You think it will boot loop or even worse, brick my phone?
Edit: if anything happens to my phone, I will NOT hold anyone responsible besides me. Don't worry lol
