plzz i want install original firmware through wich i can receive updates from Kies. i am using 2.3.5 I9000XXJVT firmware.plz suggest me which firmware be best for me i am from Pakistan.... also kindly tell me each and every step how to downgrade because i never did it...

This one has an aplication (Check Fus) for windows that checks and downloads the latest version of your country's official firmware.
After downloading your rom, you just need to flash it with odin and you're done.
For pakistan it's saying:
product code: GT-I9000HKDPAK
PDA: I9000JPJPF
CSC: I9000OJPJPF
Phone/modem: I9000JXJPD

First off i couldn't find an answer so i created this post so apologies if it is a repeat.
I FINALLY managed to connect my phone to that appalling software known as 'KIES'.
KIES informed me that the following firmware is available for me to upgrade to:
'PDA:KI4/ PHONE:KL1/CSC:KH2 (XEU)'

Kies is offering you the correct firmware but you dont want it .
In which case a stock Samsung firmware is required and that means any or to match KI4 from the link .

No just your post >>Kies offers the download but you want to find it somewhere else which will not be the same as what Kies is giving you to download .

I have already downloaded the official XXLPQ/ODDLP7/DDLP8.tar.md5 ICS for India. Do I do this directly with Odin3 even though I have a different CSC ???
Also the most important thing to ask is :--
"Should I flash the Stock Kernel XXLPQ (I have this too) thru Odin3 BEFORE I UPGRADE to the official XXLPQ/ODDLP7/DDLP8 ???"
Somebody please guide me thru this with the necessary steps or Links !!!!!

you can upgrade by flashing that downloaded package via odin.
your csc will change to india when you flash the rom.
no need to flash lpq kernel before upgrading
Hi everyone,
This is my first time and I am wondering if someone can help. I have tried everything and nothings far.
I have SG SII few weeks ago someone mentioned that ICS was out so I googled it and followed the instructions which installed i9100xxKP8 4.0.3 version and at the first start the phone does not recognise any SIM card you put. I know I made the mistake not noted down the original firmware number etc.. But I am stuck I can't use Kies to upgrade to the proper O2 upgrade which is out.
I had a look at SamMobile.com and I would not see any firmware or instructions.
Any help would be appreciate it before I bin this lovely phone .

No need to bin it if you can boot the phone into download mode. Can you?
And the firmware hasn't "busted my phone" - you did.
Why are you trying to flash some old beta version of ICS into your phone when there are much newer and official versions available such as xxlpq, xwlp7 etc? Just follow the instructions how to flash those firmwares from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544487

hello there i will try to answer your questions tell me what you do not understand and i try and help.

3.i do not know how to explain this one because i use odin for flashing.
4.open wifi then go to about phone then click software update if there is a latest version available then download and install.
5.to know if you are rooted there should be an app superuser home screen.

8.dead phone means you cant turn it on again and it wont do anything,the only way to repair it is send it to the company.to avoid it dont install firmware from other models before flashing make sure its for i9100G and dont use apps like rom manager.
9.never used kies before so i cant help on this.
10.the alternate program for flashing is odin.just put your ophone on download mode then open odin select pda browse for your firmware then start.

yo it doesnt matter what version you will get or flash but all gingerbreads rom provide the same features but with different languages.To get stock rom refer to my post answer to 1.but if you want the latest version then update your phone to ics update.

Download the latest firmware for your country from sammobile and flash with Odin, follow the guide in general forum.
