Is anyone else having the same problem as mine? how canI solve this?

Anybody else with this issue? Just upgraded to v 38 today and battery drain is severe.
Sent from my FroyoEris using XDA App
Yeah dude, I have the same problem too. I thought it was just me.
Ya I'm burning though a 3500mhA battery in under 6 hours.
the android OS process is taking over 60% of the battery atm, not really sure whats up with that.
Good to know I'm not alone.
I had been running an older version for a while... v 32. Hadn't had a chance to upgrade lately. Performance of v 38 is dramatically better than what I was used to....but the battery is killing me.
I did a complete wipe before the install. Does anybody know if this is going to be addressed soon in v39 or should we drop down to v 37?

Flash CFS v6 and that should clear it up...
Is anyone not having a battery problem with v38?
Its sucking bad man it barely lasts three hours with little to no activity
Sent from my FroyoEris using XDA App
KaosFroyo v38 has the CFS v6 kernel as part of the update.

Also, fwiw, I've been having battery issues ever since I rooted my phone. it doesn't matter what ROM I choose, both Kaos & NonSik Froyo's have been rough on my battery. I even have Collins battery tweak running and that hasn't helped much. I figure its just part of having the luxury of being rooted and running great ROM's !!
Sent from my NonsenSIKal Froyo 10.8.1 using XDA App
I haven't had any battery problems since I rooted, in fact my battery life has gotten better thanks to the more efficent battery management of froyo, and the fabulous AutoKiller.
On KaosFroyo v37 with AutoKiller set to Strict, my phone would last all day and I use it as my MP3 Player for at least an hour everyday.
I am using the Seidio Innocell 1750 mAh Battery for HTC so that's also probably helping a little.
I was just looking at those same batteries online. Are they the same size as the stock batteries? I can't tell from the picture on the website.

Yes they are.
The only battery issues ive encountered dont seem to be ROM related
live wallpaper and bluetooth are the top 2 on my list of battery drainers\
KF38 works just fine here

Everyone with battery issues needs to flash this. It will give you days of battery life. Trust me I had the battery drain too then I flashed and now its all good

Hello, newbie rooter here. Where about can i get this?
as someone said earlier flash CFS v6 for v38, i am running v38 with minimal use i get over 48 hours of life, heavy use i get 15 hours or so. To get CFS v6 just google it
(i consider heavy streaming pandora, playing games, surfing the net ect)
Don't just google it... search the development forum for it. It's made by Conap and there's a v8 out already that'll probably be better.
I'm on v8 with a slightly modified Floyo ROM and I could probably idle my phone for over 100 hours.
Upgrading has helped my battery as well. I am running KayosFroyo v38.
Which rom seems to be most favored here and with the least amount of quirks and hiccups?
I've tried axura and now im on nerov3.
And id have to say im liking the nerov3 best due to its similar to the stock in feel but the only quirk I've found, that to me is a biggy is a problem with trying to get paid apps..(SOLVED)..I keep getting server error window when trying to buy an app
So id like to know what other peoples opinions are about the different roms that are here and available to us thanks to the awesome developers that work so hard to give us the best!!!

Nero 3 seems to be the best so far but I never have any issues buying apparently from the market. Did you already try deleting the market data to see if it helps?

Definitely Nero v3 but I loved the betas too

M10 Alpha works great for me
Fantastic battery life
No need for lagfix
Super fast and responsive
Ambient time lock looks AWESOME!

Nero, axura, gingerclone
Nero V3 hands down! Soon to be V4!
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Nero V3, it is a superb rom! @ OP, use the SGS tools app to clear your market cache, Hopefully will clear up your issue.
Nero 3
Gingerclone R2 has some issues
Nero 3 is the best for battery as well since it uses the black status bar. Which saves even more battery on super amoled displays.

I'm new to the idea of changing mine I understand it to be the drivers but am I going to gain anything by switching to 351 from 318¿ Battery life?signal strength? any help would be appreciated thanks so much
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
Also I been reading about perfmod what are the effects of this and what do I gain
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
The modified 318 baseband is especially for StreakDroid, but lots of people have flashed the latest basebands, and I for one see that with the 354 baseband that I'm using that my WiFi signal is more stable, not stronger, just more stable.
The perfmod allows the kernel to be overclocked, well it overclocks it, and allows you to set it even higher with SetCPU.
You can find much more detail on this but you really need to do a search, there was no need in starting a new thread for such a basic question
What are the known bugs with the CM7 Gingerbread ROM for the Vibrant?
I'm considering rooting and flashing my Vibrant to get better speed, but I don't know which ROM is the best for me. I've read that CM7 is popular.
Currently only one. Battery. Batter life will be around 30-40% shorter than on Froyo ROMs. Except...if you were getting 23 hours on a charge to be getting around 16.
He's right. Just battery. I used to have all sorts of problems with ginger, but it was either user error or I was using very beta-builds. Now 2.3.4 is incredibly stable with just a lil bit more battery drain than you are used to. My suggestion: try out trigger redux. Its a fantastic daily driver.

Where did you get the 2.3.4? I have the same phone as you with Firmware version 2.2, baseband version T959UVKA6, Kernel version 2.2.32.9 and Build number Froyo.UVKA6. A friend of mine put this on my phone and I don't really understand how it all works. Will 2.3.4 give me anything more?

Yeh but what more will this give me than what I have now?
For one. Snappier browser. Secondly, I was able to install the nvidia tegra drivers to be able to play games like samurai 2 vengeance. Oh, and you get the useless, yet sought out tv off animation. And until today, netflix [its available for froyo now]. You can google the rest. Seriously, the whole UI is snappier than bionix or trigger ever was. Its awesome how quick it really is.

I'd suggest the CM7 nightly builds. Cyanogenmod 7 is about as good as it gets which is why it is on so many devices.
The only bug your going to notice is that on some of the Gingerbread roms the GPS may not be working, although there is a fix which allows you to lock GPS everytime within 30 seconds literally...
As far as battery life, with CM7 I was lucky to get about 8-10 hours on medium usage, but after I switched out the stock kernel for Glitch's kernel i'm doing a full day, overclocked to 1300mhz undervolted daily.... and it runs beautifully.

hi,can you post a link,i don`t know how to change kernel for Cyanogenmod 7(for vibrant please),for a while i used this rom,and abandoned it because of poor battery life(i have flashed bionix 1.3.1)
Thanks
a couple of bugs i personally had when I was on the latest nightly build were:
Random Reboots: the phone just randomly rebooted when it felt like it wanted to :/ then I saw one of the specific reboots it happened when i tried to put the phone to sleep while entering text it rebooted for no reason i was able to succesfully duplicate this bug many times
Horrible performace: i wasn't every able to play this 720p mkv file i had on the CM7 rom apparently because gingerbread doesn't have hardware acceleration :/ or CM7 for vibrant didn't at least.
Now im testing froyo roms like the bionix 1.31 and the project V and they don't have any of those bugs

How were you able to install those drivers? How did the phone handle?
Sent from my T959 using XDA Premium App
Running CM7 Trigger Redux build 14 and I've only run into two bugs that could be my device, and one that's a known CM7 issue:
Low 3D framerate issues
Text written in landscape dissapears from fields when the phone is rotated to portait mode (May be limited to the Wells Fargo app)
SD cards do not re-mount in Android after being mounted to a PC unless the USB cable is disconnected and reconnected after turning off USB mounting
Battery is fixed, see sig.
Hello to all of you. I wanted to know what rom are you using? I'm currently switching from Bionix 1.3.1 and Nex Gen v2. if you guys use something different that is giving you better preformance, then please let use noob know. If you can tell us why you like it and what makes it better the other rom that would be great. If I missed any ROM then I'm sorry but just put it in you reply and I will add it later.
we apericiate your help in advance.
Thank You
guys your opinion will be very helpful for us and the developers, so please lets input our preference.
RevolutionRom is very quick and very stable. There will be an update rolled out shortly that will blow anything else out of the table so if I were you I would try Revolution.
ZenDroid 2.0.1 currently but it's not listed...
I have had the best overall performance from Vibrace V1.7 (2.2.1) using Bali 1.8.7uv kernel. It's quick, smooth, and has good battery life. I have tried a variety of gingerbread ROMs but eventually come back to this ROM due to the poor battery life and poor GPS performance on the gingerbread ROMs.

Thank you, I was unable to update ZenDroid 2.0.1, but its still list.
Anyone else like to put that they personally use, I would like it if you guys make this a helpful thread.
I'm running cm7 build #58. I know it's not a stable build, but it has been working great for me. I also flashed the Glitch Kernel V11, which allows OC/UV. I like it so far.
who has better battery with Boinix 1.3.1 Vs Boinix Next Gen V2? I usually get 1 day/ 8hours. what about you guys?
Thanks in Advance
How many of you stick with one ROM, and how many try new thing everyday?
I been trying various GB roms lately but they all seem to have some little but nagging issues like freezes, fc, and mediocre battery life. Features and aesthetics are great though.
I run bionix nextgen as my stable rom when I'm busy and don't have time to flash around roms.
You should be getting better battery life with bionix. Try battery calibrate and Bali kernel.

I want to try a different modem like KB5. Do I need to fully charge the phone and install in recovery, or I can install it when the phone is halfway charged?
I refuse to vote unless you add Simply Honey 4.0. Lol
thanks, sorry but I don't know how to add more options. if you know to let me know thanks.
I run one rom... i had nero 3 fo the LONGEST time... things started acting wierd... so i changed to a GB rom... and its pretty good thus far...
Any new things you guys changed or tweaked recently?
I am running bi-winning v3.0 w/ bali kernel. Its alraight.
