Hi guys,
Ive successfully managed to install Villain rom through CWM on my s2 and got it working.
Ive downloaded the following theme
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1382057
onto the phone but how do i go about installing onto the s2 whilst retaining the Villain rom
I cant seem to find a write up explaining this
I assume it is a zip file download. If so put it on your SD card, boot into recovery, wipe cache and dalvik cache then install zip from SD card, however MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP before you start as this has not been tested on VR and I suspect it will not work
hi killall, other than this theme and the clearglass theme, can you recommend a theme that works on vr 3.0? i can't find any

Hi guys. I was wondering a few things. When you theme your phone successfuly, Im under the asumption that if you re-theme it with another them it goes right on top of it correct? How do you remove a theme and is it possible to do that? Or if there are different thems out there you like, how do you go about switching them out? Just keep putting them on top of eachother? Any advice would be great. Thanks guys.

I appreciate the link. But all its showing me is how to actually create a theme. I cant find where the answers to my questions are for the person that just installs the themes but doesnt make them?
Depending on what version of software you are running (1.26, 1.57, 1.83 ATT) I think the best method to completely re-theme is to use a program like Titanium Backup * Root, free version from the market, to back up your apps and data. SBF flash the proper version of deodexed files for your current software version to completely eradicate the current theme. After that apply your new theme and then re-install Titanium Backup to restore your apps and data.
You will most likely need to use gingerbreak to regain root after flashing the SBF. Since this will, most often, result in a clean wipe of your internal and external SD card, make sure to back them both up to your computer before flashing the SBF and proceeding. That way you can just put anything back onto the internal or external memory that isn't put back by titanium.
Putting one theme on top of another really won't hurt anything most of the time, but if the new theme doesn't use all of the same files as the previous theme did then you will end up with items from the old version that weren't replaced.

You can pull fresh copies of everything that the themes change (framework-res.apk, services.jar, blur-res.apk, are the main ones) and make a CWM update with those in it. Then you can install a theme, and in order to uninstall it all you need to do is go into CWM and use the backup update.zip.
To switch themes, I just keep all themes I have downloaded in a folder called THEMES on my phone. I just boot into CWM and use the backup .zip I made, then I install the new theme .zip and reboot.
If your talking about Gingerblur/Grey blur I think a SBF flash would be your best way to uninstall.
Thanks for the tip guys. I actually had GingerBlur installed before but wasnt all that fond of it. I went ahead and flashed the sbf of 1.8.3 back. Now I have the HoneyGlow theme installed and actually I like it a lot. I was just wondering what its like re-flashing themes over top of themes. I have Tansfers (I think thats the name) Recovery already installed with root access. I got the files already saved on the computer, but thats good advice to put the updates in folders on the phone and do it that way.
Yes, now On im gonna take that external SD card out when I flash. I also tried using Titanium and having a hard time with understanding how it works fully lol.

yes you can flash new themes on top of old ones. They just replace various framework files. all themes modifies the same set of framework files pretty much. so when you flash on top, it overwrites the current one with the new one, that's it. the important thing to remember is to flash a theme meant for your rom because framework files can change from rom to rom, so you may get bootloops (soft bricks) if you flash incompatible frameworks.
are there any themes that will work with GingerRemix #6 rom. I love the Kalagas Mixed theme , but I don't know if I can download it .
should work fine, just nandroid first in case you have any issues...... you know to put the theme.zip on the root of the sd card and flash it through recovery i assume since your rooted.

You will put the theme on your SD card but before you flash any theme you need to make sure that its updated to be used on Comrom v 2.1 otherwise you will have issues. I think the only theme i saw that was done so far for 2.1 is Crysis Revolution v4.0 *Community ROM 2.1!* *6.20.11
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1037369
You can also check GrainOSand's themes as he is supposed to be updating his for 2.1
That's the theme I was looking at lol . I figured that it needed to be 2.1. Just one more question do I need to wipe any of the Davik caches or any thing else. I noticed some said to others didn't wasn't sure if it was a required step.
if you can't till this is my first time theming a phone
Hi, i'm new to this. i just recently Rooted my Evo 3D. i have a theme over my ROM(which is Supra ROM). The theme i have is this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1220059&highlight=[Mods]+MaShEd+Up+DrOiDs
however i dont know how to get rid of it. if anyone can help me with this please let me know.
I just want to run my Supra ROM.
Boot into recovery. Wipe cache and Dalvik only. Do not wipe data. Then reflash your Supra rom and reboot.
thanks!! i also want to delete the theme .zip file. how will i go about that?
Just delete it from your wherever you put it on your sd card with a file explorer.

do i do that before or after i reFlash my ROM again?
sorry if im asking too many questions, i just want this to do this without making a mistake
It doesn't matter in what order you do it. When you flashed that theme, it updated the files in your rom with the themed files from the .zip and that .zip has just been sitting on your card doing nothing since then.
oh okay thank you so much!

That's not the official Avengers wallpaper.
Check out the attached image. That's the official wallpaper.
If anyone could find that out, that'd be wonderful. Coz I have searched everywhere and couldn't find it.

If you still looks closely it's not the same.
I have an Avengers Edition OnePlus 6 so, I'd know it accurately.
Since Android DP3 doesn't have the Avengers theme I miss that wallpaper dearly.

Yes U can.
But i cants understand its not possible that when u flashed OB2 over oreo then its automatically should gone, are u using theme compatible kernel aslo?
It is gone but i saw something in the logcat that says "theme mode = 3" and im guessing thats avengers theme. So im trying to disable it fully. I tried to flash a kernel that had avengers theme enabled too. But that didnt work. And the link for the disabler is in the op?

How do i go about wiping system?.. will it delete internal data? And will it keep twrp? If so.
Do i simply wipe system and install ob2 through twrp?

yes you can wipe system and install ob2 via twrp.but you will loose all your twrp so simalteneously flash twrp zip after rom flashing, you wonts loose internal data unless u wipe internal sd card but you suerly loose ur apps and setup so keep app backup using titanium back and alwayz keep nandroid backup if something goes wrong

Smurf kernel is compatible with pie. First flash it then try Nathan chance zip.
If it's not then u cants use Nathan chance theme enabler zip.
It of no use without compatible kernel.
