Just got my Sony Tablet S today and it seems the market says the official Tumblr app is not compatible?
Is this the case for every tablet, or just this Sony one?

I was able to download the tumblr application, it launches, but it won't recognize my wifi connection.

I have the wifi version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1. I found an apk for the Google Videos app, as it is not yet available in the market for this tablet. This apk installs and runs "normally" on my HTC G2. The app will install on the Galaxy 10.1 but force quits whenever I try to run it. I read in another topic here that the LTE version of this tablet comes with the Google Videos app, so I am assuming it works there. Has anyone gotten the Google Videos app to work on the Wifi version of this tablet?
My guess is the model number is not setup in the Android Market. As you will notice we have the "Books" app and can see and search on books in the Android Market. Your Movies app is probably force closing because when it tries to load the initial screen, the Android market cant match the device model the tablet app sends. It sends this to retrieve content compatible with the app and device.

Thanks for the file. I must have had an old sol. The file sizes were different, but the one I first got works on my G2. All set now thanks
I just experience this and I wonder if any one else has had this happen. I tried to read a book I already downloaded to the Kindle app and the app refused to open it. I investigated and found that the Amazon app store and Nook app were experiencing the same thing. The rest of the apps I have seem to be fine as long as they where not loaded from the Amazon app store. Just recently the stock browser has started saying that well known sites such as Google and Amazon have certificate errors. I tried to download and reinstall the Amazon app store app and found I couldn't. It wasn't Amazon this time since I could download it on a PC and slide it to the tablet. It still would not work correctly. I am running stock 4349.

Anybody here that could get the FourSquare applications dumped from their tablet and send it to me by PM? I would like to test if the app works on my Galaxy 10.1 tab.
I saw that people dumped the SYSTEM folder, but the FourSquare app was not in. I guess it is in the DATA folder.

it was not installed on my tablet s, just a shortcut to the app store to install it from. not really looking to install it as i of course don't have a data plan or 3g, however it did list the app as for the sony tab by name (at the app store) so not sure if it would work for ya

I don't think the app will run only on a Sony tablet.

I bought the Xperia Z Ultra a few days ago, and it's a brilliant phone. I reset it earlier due to the screen not responding very well. I have re-installed my apps, but the Xperia Privilege app is having problems. I had an activation code that came with the phone, which I used when I first set it up. I downloaded the free movies that the code allowed me to have, but now that I have reset the phone, I cannot re-download the movies or play them. They appear in the account as purchased films, and they are listed in the movies app, but cannot be played. My phone is completely stock and has not been rooted or modded in any way.
I sorted it, and it was easier than it appeared to be. I simply had to uninstall/remove each movie in turn, then re-install them, one by one. It took a while to re-install them, as they can only be downloaded via wifi, and my wifi is a lot slower than my 3g (my wifi is 3mbps at best, and my 3g is between 10 and 20mbps). Still, they have been re-installed and they are all working well now.
Do you have a link to the Privilege Movies APK? I just got the redemption coupon but Play days that the app isn't available to download in my country

I haven't used any apk's as I have never rooted my phone. You may need to search for an ip spoofing app, such as hidemyass, to trick the Google servers into thinking your device is located elsewhere. It's not my area of expertise unfortunately.

I just installed LineageOS on my SGP311 tablet, and find it great. However, there is a Sony app that I find particularly useful, but can't get it to work now.
From the play store, I can't install Xperia Link, allegedly because it is not available for my device. I downloaded the apk and installed it anyway. I can connect my Xperia Z phone with my tablet, and bluetooth tethering works great. But the other functionnalities (browse SMS, call logs, notifications) don't work. Whenever I try to access it, the app crashes.
I figure that the app can't recognize my tablet as a Sony one, or it may be because the Sony environment isn't installed anymore, but I have no idea about how to do something about it, or if it is even possible. Would you have any idea about that ?
