This is the second thread am posting for the same problem , didnt get any solutions in the first thread.
When i open up camera , it says "Camera not available".
Tried third party apps like 360 camera etc. . .= No Help
Flashed the stock firmware and then also , the latest firmware . . . = No Help
Xperia Neo V-BL Relocked-Latest official firmware-Stock Kernel-Rooted-V6 Supercharged (not sure , though - dont know how to check)-Thinking of overclocking it to 1.5 Ghz but first "the camera" is important.
Please help
you use NEO firmware, not NEO V.
only neo v is bug less for your phone.
I by mistake flashed Neo's firmware to my Neo V.
It bricked my phone so i again flashed the stock firmware of neo v and after that also the latest firmware = no help.
Try using Wotan Server
When i messed up my phone and it brought it to life

How do you know wich firmware is for Neo or Neo V????

Try Sony Ericsson Update Service
downloaded the ftf file of mt11 and mt 15.....while choosing which file to flash i bymistake flashed the mt15 one.
tried SEUS=No help.
@ "try using wotan server" = my phone is just working fine but the camera is showing up some error. thats all.
what to do?

Yes i know, using Wotan server will install a new fFirmware which will restore the original stock camera app
Install a fresh firmware
it will work
Or use SeTool
use pc companion to fix it.
of course for SEUS and pc companion BOOOTLOADER must be LOCKED for work.
SE PC C always say that the server is currently overloaded...try again later >.<
i said ive already flashed the stock firmware
and also after that , the latest firmware.....NO HELP.
Will do it again and let you know.

you can find it at wotanserver....
What I suggest doing to root this version since ftf isn't floating around and wotan crypts their firmware:
1. Testpoint unlock bootloader (free if you have sim unlocked non-carrier). If you have a branded plunk down some dollars for jinx13 or that alejandrissamo (sp?) to do it. This method you can relock later on for warranty concerns. You need fastboot access and BL unlocked, don't whine, just do it.
2. Flash new firmware with wotan, back your stuff up with titanium or whatever beforehand.
3. HOTBOOT inteks kernel (I don't trust it on new build for neo v and I use stock otherwise). This is done by entering fastboot mode and running fastboot boot kernel.img and phone will reboot with inteks. (DO NOT DO FASTBOOT FLASH, JUST FASTBOOT BOOT)
4. Run zergrush tool as normal, phone will root.
5. Reboot and you are back on stock kernel with root access
EDIT: I should note I required this new build as my neo v was affected by random reboot bug on .42, this fixes it. Problem is well documented on SE forums and is neo v specific, neo is fine.

So recently i root my xperia neo v 2.3.3 with zergRush but after ota update lost the root , update to 2.3.4 i know was a foolish move to update to 62 firmware ...
i have download WotanClient to flash it to the old one 42 firmware
pls let me know if the selected firmware in WotanClient screen shoot is the correct .
mobile screen shoot is the ota update

first I read the tutorials and followed them but I was not far away from bricking my phone.. Here is what I did:
Installed Flash Tool 0.9.5.0 and drivers
Started Flash Tool and selected Flashmode, started phone in Flashmode
"ERROR - ERR_SEVERITY="MAJOR";ERR_CODE="0076";ERR_DYNAMIC=" Flash too small for current partitioning"
Device didn't boot, showed triangle with "!" inside..
Searched the internet..
Flashed again with checkbox "Exclude Partition" checked..

Disconnected Phone, powered on - short vibration but black screen

As I said I'm back on stock GB already.. I have not unlocked BL or rooted the phone, I only wanted to flash stock ICS as on update check it doesn't find ICS update (got phone from german provider 1&1).. I don't see why this tutorial should help me with my problem..

OK tried Sony Update Service and PC Companion and update check on the phone.. It says allways that I'm on the newest firmware but I'm still on GB.. Thats the reason why I wanted to flash it the manual way.. On the internet it was said around 20th of august that the update is rolling out
Can it be so hard? Flashed several phones before but failing hard on Xperia P..
So current situation, newest GB but no idea how to get official ICS working (always partition error with Flash Tool and black screen when flashing with exclude partition..)..
Huge mistake on my side!! The phone is XPERIA U not P as I thought.. Shame on me.. Guess I have to wait a few days more until the update arrives.. Sorry for my mistake and thanks for the help!

Hi all, thanks and sorry if I am too noob. I am looking for solution for 2 hours and I cant find, maybe anyone can help me
I have Sola MT27i and I was trying to update to ICS and root my Xperia Sola for hours. I updated with Sony Companion and then I found the thread for root with Flashtool mode (flash to 6.1.1.B.1.10 with Flashtool, root using Bin4ry's method, then flash to 6.1.1.B.1.54), then I instaled CWM and I was trying now install a rom. It seems easy, and I did it last summer in my Geeksphone, but after various errors installing roms copied in externalSD as "installation aborted. Status: 7" I did the step 4 of this tutorial (enter in mounts and format system)and my Sola now only show SONY!!

Dude ! The ftf's in the first link are only the kernel. You just installed a CM9 ROM over a stock kernel, which would explain why it had bootloop ( in your case stuck at Sony ).
Did you flash the CWM in the ROM ( the boot.img in the zip ) or one of the others on the forum? Because those are built on Stock kernel, and this uses CM9 kernel, causing bootloops ( This is just me trying to zero in on the issue )
Solution:
Since that 1st thread had only kernel, the files were ~10Mb. The actual ftf is much larger, around 300 Mb or so, as it contains all files.
Flash one of the other 2 links' ftf's via flashtool and you should be fine.

Are you flashed a NEO V ftf file?? Or you flashed a kernel-only ftf?
install flashtool drivers for your device first. in the directory under drivers folder.
Hello everyone,
First of all this is my frist post, I'm sorry if I did something wrong.:silly:
I have rooted my xperia sola and flashed some mods, (Tweak&CPU - Xperia Z Launcher). I got .54 Official Rom, but Update Center keep saying there is an update. I tried many times to update but it says after rebooting "It has failed, Try Again."
What did I do wrong?

You have unlocked bootloader right? Sony PCC have problems with such phones(mine too) showing that there is update, when you had already updated. Just ignore it for now, but you won't be able to install future updates

Ahh... a similar problem which i had ... the Phone software version is influenced by your kernel .. :silly:
Your kernel is based on b.1.10 and so your PCC assumes that your entire firmware is out of date and attempts to correct this though an update , which for obvious reasons , it can't cause you've unlocked your BL
Solution? Shift to an updated kernel of the one you are using , make sure it's either of the same version or higher than that of the ROM firmware .
Still if you cant get another kernel ,simply freeze the update app on Titanium Backup :victory:

Mine are 6.1.B.1.75 and 6.1.B.1.54 so I don't think updating will help.

So you're being asked to update even though your kernel is based on 6.1.B.1.75 (higher) ... odd ...... try getting a kernel that matches your file system version i.e a 6.1.B.1.54 kernel(stock or custom) this should hopefully work . Else , since you've unlocked your BL ,why not use a custom ROM ?
I don't know how I got .75 sw version(about phone shows .54), but my kernel is based on latest official sources(Vengeance 1.26 kernel). When I asked developer about this, he said it's normal with unlocked BL. As for custom rom, I'm planning to install one, I'm just searching for one that fits me perfectly.

If you're just annoyed with the update notification , freeze 'update center 'app via Titanium backup =P
