Introduction
Hey guys.. I came up with a partial recovery method for black screen bricks. It's not a full recovery yet as the device won't get past booting the kernel. However, this is a matter of obtaining the proper firmware... So, until a better firmware is obtained the next best thing is to at least get the device into Download Mode.
Generally Hard bricks occur when the improper firmware is flashed on a device. When the wrong bootloaders are loaded, the device attempts to boot and fails. Instead of hanging, sometimes the device will enter a "Lucky Brick" state. These lucky bricks are very common on Galaxy Player.
The Galaxy Player tends to failover into a safe mode which we call UnBrickable Mod. This safe mode can only effectively be used in Linux because of a lack of decent windows drivers and a lack of any real development for Mac outside of Apple Corp .
Heimdall has not yet been upgraded to handle the Galaxy Player so a virtual machine is required for this procedure.
You Will Need:
Linux installed on a computer: http://ubuntu.com/download
The UnBrickable Resurrector Revision36 or higher installed in Linux
Oracle Virtualbox installed on linux: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads
Your OWN copy of Windows installed in Virtualbox
Samsung drivers installed on Virtual Windows Machine
The GalaxyPlayer-Bootloader.zip downloaded into Windows
Instructions
First plug your Galaxy Player into the computer.
Launch the UnBrickable Resurector R36 and observe the following image. If the device does not detect, hold the power and home button for 10 seconds to make the device reboot.

Note: if you cannot get this screen, stop. You will not be able to continue. You've given it a shot and there are no other known methods which will currently work
Select S5PC111 from the Device Type Dropdown List. Then click the "Download Mode" Button. Your device should be detected as the picture in the following displays. If your device is not detected, try again and ensure you have the proper Resurrector selected
Unzip the GalaxyPlayer-Bootloaders.zip to the Desktop folder in your Windows VM
Launch Odin3 in the Windows VM
Set the PIT option as "GalaxyPlayerPart.pit" Set the "Bootloader" option to GalaxyPLayerDownloadModeOnly.tar
In the menu bar on your Windows VM, in Linux, select Devices>USB Devices>SAMSUNG Gadget Serial to attach the device to Windows.
Note: you should see the device connected and a "COM" assigned in Odin after the device has installed properly
Click "Start" on Odin3. Note: If this fails, you will need to reinstall Samsung Drivers.
This is where this guide ends. I have tried several firmwares but none have been effective at recovering the Galaxy Player...
Conclusion
Your device is now in Download Mode.. If anyone can help in locating a /data/ partition(Not dbdata), I could sterilizeit of your information and it would be helpful. If anyone can post up an EFS partition, I could remove the information from that and force it into a default...
Basically, I need a full dd dump of every single partition on the device in order to finish this resurrection DIY.
Hi AdamOutler:
You can find that here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19840746&postcount=420
That's a full dump of /dev/block/mmcblk0

and how do you upload that through download mode?
That's my question, lol.
On wednesday I can upload the dd dumps of every partition so they can be flashable via odin.
I've 'dd'ed that image to a sdcard. Checked partition table and it seems ok. So the only think needed is to dump the right partitions. Right now, I'm busy with exams, so I can't before.

Any advice?
Ima post the md5 file needed to flash with odin in just a sec hold on.

The problem is that we need a partition information table which is proper for each device. I started that thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1389873

They're all the partitions on separate files of YP-G70 international.

Ok so I have an issue that is between the hard brick and the lucky brick I think.
My Galaxy is stuck in Android Stock Recovery (My soft keys are not working) and I have attempted to get the Resurrector to work on my device, but it seems like it won't see my player correctly for me to bring it back.
If you know any kind of fix for this I would really appreciate it, my Wife is ready to kill me...
Adam, I have Ubuntu and the virtual machine setup and working. I just cannot get Ubuntu to allow me to open the resurector file as an executable, any idea why and how I can fix that issue, it tries to open it as a archived compressed file. I have the black screen and badly need to revive my Player.
Update: After searching on google I finally got Ubuntu to execute the resurrector file and I revived my player and have Froyo 2.2.2 running on it now, but the capacitive buttons do not work. I will dowload the soft button app to fix the buttons till someone finds a solution for the dead buttons which was caused on my player by the Korean 2.3.6 firmware leak that I flashed yesterday and caused all my problems. After searching some more I found the files I needed to get my capacitive buttons working again on the samfirmware.com web site, so now I have restored my player to the original working state.
Adam, you are a life saver, Thank You very much for the excellent recovery guide!!!!
Everyone on the forum, have a Happy New Year!!!!!!

I'm still unable to fully unbrick my device (YPGB70) even with all the proper files, it still just hangs at the logo, I can get into download mode just fine though. The only files missing from Samsungs official rom they released are efs.rfs, userfs_16G.rfs, inand_16G.bin these are the only file listed on the pit but aren't in the rom file. Are the userfs and inand crucial file and if so can I use files from the international or US models and do they have to be the same 16G size?

What I did once I got it to the download mode using Adam's guide, then I downloaded the 2.2.2 froyo rom for the player found at www.samfirmware.com and flashed it using odin that got the player working but the capacitive key would still not work, so then I put the player back into download mode and downloaded and flashed the rom from Maticulus found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1450013 using odin again and this got the player working like new again including the capacitive keys.
Good Luck!!!
My YP-G70 still freeze on Odin on Set Partition Any idea ? (international 16GB version) Download mode works, but lock on Odin ...

I will help anyone whenever possible to solve their problems concerning their bricked players. If you can't get it showing up in Odin3 after the Unbrickable Mod, then I'm sorry I can't help you. Every computer is different. Just try to follow the advice. New links are available, so sorry for those that have requested new links! One of the links also contains the bootloaders for the Galaxy Player! Yay! I've saved all the files onto my computer so if a link goes dead, let me know and I'll put it up. Also, if one of the firmwares doesn't work, also let me know and what you tried doing with it.
IF AND ONLY IF you still can't get your player to boot after following this guide, let me know in the comments section what you did in the format:
1.US or INTL
2.What you flashed, with a link to it,
3.What happened AFTER you flashed the above
4.What your device does currently, eg, download mode, CWM only, partial boot, bootloop, no logo.
5.What you tried doing to solve this problem
If you do not follow this format, I WILL NOT RESPOND.
I had my Samsung Galaxy Player hard bricked and I thought all was lost and I thought I had tried everything but I started looking around for some help and ideas on what I could do to fix this problem.
The first thing I did was follow AdamOutlers guide for getting into recovery mode, and that thread can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1386669
Follow those directions and get back to this thread after you've successfully gotten it into download mode.
#Note: If you can't open the Ressurector, install Java onto your flavor of Linux. Then right-click on the resurrector, hit properties and check the Use as executable box or something similar.
*If you already have it in download mode, skip the first step!*
Okay, now that you have it in download mode, you have to get Odin3 for virtualbox. You don't need virtualbox if you can get it into download mode and if youre running Windows XP or higher. If your running Ubuntu or any other flavor of Linux, Heimdall won't work with the SGP and you're going to need virtualbox. The one I used and that worked can be found by going here: http://www.4shared.com/file/10JA2Dsu/Odin3_v183.html--You can get virtualbox for Linux by going here: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads--YOU WILL NEED YOUR OWN COPY OF WINDOWS FOR VIRTUALBOX!!
Once you have Odin3 running either in Windows or in Virtualbox, then go ahead and plug it into a USB port and a yellow box in Odin3 with a COM number should show up. If not, make sure you have the Samsung USB drivers installed in your copy of Windows in Virtualbox. You can get those here: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/MOBILES/Samsung/SAMSUNG-USB-Driver-for-Mobile-Phones-1560.shtml-- I had a lot of trouble for my laptop to recognize that my player was plugged in and I had other people tell me the same. I think that in Virtualbox there are settings that have to do with USB devices and getting them recognized inside of Virtualbox. If not, someone let me know. So once you get it into download mode using the resurrector, flash this, IT HAS THE BOOTLOADERS NEEDED, NO MORE SCAMMBLE FOR CORRECT BOOTLOADERS!!!!!!!!!!!!--http://www.4shared.com/get/VtAB8dCU/G70JKKE3_STOK_222RU_.html Flash the one with All-Low or something of the sort.
If you can get it into download mode (Pwr+VolDown+Home) then install this with Odin3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1863004
The first link comes with bootloaders and can get your SGP back up to booting. Once you install that, which is I believe, a Russian Froyo ROM, you must install from the link at the top, which is a stock ROM for us SGP that gets your home button working and is meant for the US variant of the Galaxy Player. It also includes Entropy's Daily Driver kernel and can get you back into CWM if you have a backup available. You need to be in download mode for this too.
BEFORE you install stock though, make sure your Samsung Galaxy Player boots! After that, flash the stock ROM back with download mode using Odin3.
If you have any questions, comments, concerns, feel free to write down below!!
NOTE: I need stock firmware for the 5.0 INTL version, if anyone has it please link it to me and I will post it in the OP.

YOU WILL NEED YouR OWN COPY OF WINDOWS!!
Once you have odin3 running either in windows or in virtualbox, and one of the white boxes is yellow and has a COM with a number in it, your're ready to flash the software needed! If you can't get it into download mode maually, then first install this (BIG THANKS TO METICULUS!): http://www.4shared.com/rar/IEAXBGh2/G70XXKD6-REV00-PDA-low-CL10019.html

If the stock rom is giving you problems, such as random shutdowns, what you can do is flash meticulus' foreigner rom and the cutsom kernal from Entropy512 using odin3. Flash kernal first then rom.. This solved all my problems. And it looks better than the stock rom and is much faster than stock too!
If you don't like the custom rom and how it looks, you can always try to find a stock rom that works well. Or what I did was i themed my SGP with go launcher which looks really nice.

Okay press Alt+T.. Then you should get a purple screen in which you can input text right? Copy these commands one at a time to get Java:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ferramroberto/java
[Press ENTER] and wait. After you see your name and it says @Ubuntu then copy/paste this:
sudo apt-get update
[Press ENTER] and wait for the @Ubuntu to show up. Then copy/paste this:
sudo apt-get install sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-fonts
Then once you see @Ubuntu again, you're done! You can close the terminal. If you want to open the file as an exe. though, right click on the file, and go to properties or permissions, something like that and click on the box that says that you allow it to run as an exe. or something like that. Hope that helped! THANKS BUTTON!!!

i worked by the link you gave:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1386669
what should i do?
thanks for the help!
Try to get Odin3 1.83, that's what I used. Oh I see your problem! Make shure you check the "Phone Bootloader Update" box and uncheck the re-partition box. So do this: 1. Get Odine 1.83. 2. Uncheck re-partition. 3. Check phone bootloader update box! Btw I love how you have those files in a folder called brick xD I did the same thing. Organize and prioritize.
sorry that i stuck every second but after i did what this guide says:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1386669

the next step i did is:If you can get it into download mode (Pwr+VolDown+Home) then install this with odin3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1450013
i downloaded and install and odin show that he reset the device but it still in download mode it doesnt exit from it no matter what i do (vol.up+home+power, only power, power+home).
what should i do?im so close to finish it!
and did you do mistake here?"If you can get it into download mode (Pwr+VolDown+Home) then install this with odin3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1450013

you put the same link.
and when im on download mode can i download anothers roms?not the stock rom that you gave in this post?i want to download meticulus' foreigner rom can i do it from my situation right now?
btw thanks i never organize but my device is important to me so im now little orgnize with this thing.
Ohh right, my bad, thanks for pointing that out! And once your in download mode, flash this: http://www.4shared.com/rar/IEAXBGh2/G70XXKD6-REV00-PDA-low-CL10019.html
Then once you're done with that, if you want Meticulus' Foreigner, you can flash that after you flash the first rom. Good luck! Let me know how it goes.
Actually, Meticulus deleted the file from 4Shared so try to just flash his rom from where your at. Flash kernal first. Then rom.
Really sorry to you and Meticulus, but I'm re-uploading the file to mediafire.com and its gonna take about an hour so just wait up.

Any ideas?
Good evening friends, dev and other community members, recently my galaxy player connect to computer for music happen all good so far, when I go back to check if I end up spending the entire music encounter the following message on the screen of the Galaxy Player "Firmware Upgrade Encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again"
Do not let me enter recovery mode and when I can go to download mode and give the up volume key returns to the same screen, besides the samsung kies does not recognize it, I should clarify that this model only has physical volume buttons and power.
It would be helpful and useful if anyone knows how to fix this error.
Thanks in advance :good:
Well, I don't see how this is development for one. But concerning your problem, it sounds odd. Are you saying that it won't even let you enter download mode? Does your player even boot, or is it bricked? Have you tried to see if you can enter recovery mode?

I know and I apologize I think is not the right section for this question.
When trying to enter download mode goes indeed to ask you to continue pressing the volume up again the same screen, I can not enter recovery mode falls on the same screen and not a brick if the galaxy player.
I let you capture the screen, please respond and apologize to the trouble my friend.:good:

Heimdall is for windows, OS X and linux.
Here's a video on how to install and use it (the interface is different from the newer versions but it does the job.)

The .pit file isn't necessary, the only thing you need is to click close pc screen on the utilities tab.

Help please...
I am having the EXACT same problem. Except when I try to use Close PC Screen using Heimdall, even with device detected, I get this error:
Initialising connection...
Detecting device...
ERROR: Failed to access device. libusb error: -12
I have reinstalled the drivers numerous times. Also, the same download mode problem. When I press continue to use ODIN download mode, it goes right back to the firmware upgrade error screen. Odin does recognize it while it is on the the firmware upgrade error screen, but it fails when trying to flash a ROM.
Thanks for the help.

Ik this is kind of a late answer, but odin should be able to reflash the device, and if not, try rebooting the computer to see if you can get it to work again. That's how i got mine to turn on..But the dang touchscreen still doesn't work
Major Problem
Hi guys. I notice it has been a while since anyone posted anything in this thread, but today I encountered a serious problem. My Galaxy Player is stuck in the same position as the one mentioned in this thread, but I reached it in a different way. I was trying to flash the rooted ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1864741 : I have the US Version) using odin, and I followed all the steps. While doing it, Odin said it had failed, then I got the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" screen on my player. I can't enter download mode and my computer doesn't recognize it. The few times it does, it just says "Connecting.." in Kies and won't go past that. I've looked everywhere and couldn't find anything that works. Is there anything I can do? I feel like its just a soft brick but I really don't know. Please help.
I randomly get this while using heimdall to flash the cwm kernel. I just flash again until it works. The firmware error is the same as Odin download mode as far as I can tell.

Hey,
Tried as hard as I could not to have to ask, looked everywhere I could think of, searched through dozens of threads and found nothing in regards to my Trio Stealth G2 tablet.
My question is, what method of rooting should I use for my tablet, and once I do root would there be a custom ROM I could use?
I've seen people mention they messed up flashing a custom ROM to the Stealth Pro 7, but I'm not sure if any ROM made for a 7" Cortex A9 tablet would work. Don't want to brick this though so thought I wouldn't chance it.
Thanks
I got the other day an I am to wanting to root it I think bin4ry root method would work but adb won't work cause there's no fastboot on the thing it dose have a recovery but its 3e

Hi, slick97477. Where did you get the One Click Root tool? I didn't see any forums for this (or any other Trio) device on here.
Thank you in advance.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1734365
One click
I got it from here
just google oneclickroot
and just run it. Couldn't believe it worked but it did.
However today went to try and turn it on and nothing, Just hung and the Trio logo. Let it sit for about 10 minutes. Decided maybe battery was dead and plugged it in still nothing. No battery logo nothing. Hit reset button and plugged it in again and nothing. Screen doesnt come on now nothing but however weird thing is it shows up as winusb now under devices which is amlogic driver for flashing firmware which im not sure how this has happened but it has. I have took it apart and took pics of the mainboard and cpu. Would like to see if perhaps there is firmware out for this...Have done quite a bit of research and numerous different things so far..
I have downloaded the firmware installer from amlogic but so far no firmware seems to like my cpu....Hmmm well cannot upload pictures yet for some reason..If anybody is interested in trying to help me figure out which firmware will work on it I would greatly appreciate it. I used it the night before and it worked great. Have not installed anything new or anything so I am a bit baffled in how the firmware got torched but I am pretty sure that is what has happened any ideas I am willing to try. I have recently dived into really messing with the android devices but had not done anything with this tablet yet because I had not found a way to back up the current firmware on it...so was really being nice to it for now....
(Edit) Pics are included just didn't try hard enough
try this
Yea id like to help try turning it on while its pluged in ur computer then hold the power button till u here the sound like something got pluged in ur computer then then hit the power button to turn it on if this dosnt work try turning it on then after the @9 boot logo hold both volume keys that should put it in safe mode only the apps that came on the tab will work
Trio Stealth g2 tablet issues
Hi I was reading your posts about the g2 and I seem to be having a similar issue. The tablet is frozen on the trio stealth g2 loading screen and I have pushed all the buttons including the reset button on back to no success. I got the tablet to recognize as m3 chip on my pc and was able to aml flash tool but every time I try to upload a rom like stock jellybean or some custom rom its asking for a upgrade config file which of course I do not have there has to be a way to just completley wipe this tablet and install a new os any ideas on how I can get this thing to flash, I was hoping I could load a sd card and push some buttons on the tablet to flash from the sd card but I have no clue if thats possible

I too have a g2 with the same issue but i've gotten it into ADB Recovery. When using the AML Flash tool, after you import the upgrade file and it asks you to manually input a config file use the config_progress.xml file that is in the AML flash installation directory possibly under \resource\
This is what got me to ADB recovery but anytime I try to reboot the tablet it reverts back to Worldcup Device in device manager so I'm stuck. Hope this helps.

Hey I was able to flash the tabley with aml but I used novo 7 fire and now nothing comes up, no boot screen or anything, however when its plugged into my pc I can access the internal storage and Micro sd card storage, but I need to remove the rom and get one that works correctly for the tablet, unlike before It wont let me push the power and vol button to make it go to the m3 chip which then I could use the aml world cup driver so some how I have to flash it from the internal storage or by some means but I have no clue at this point. The driver is Portable media player MID Novo7 I changed the driver to android ADB which it installs but then I cant access the internal storage, is there anyway to re flash this? I tried pushing diffrent buttons on the tablet to see if a diffrent chip is recongized like the m3 was from before but nothing

From my experience with the stealth g2 9.7" if you open up the tablet and use a pin or small screwdriver to short (connect) nand pins 7 & 8 (counting down from top right of chip, yours maybe 5 & 6 or 6 & 7 ) as seen in picture below the circled area, while powering the unit on, should erase the nand and revert to Worldcup device in device manager which will allow the AML flash tool to see the device again.

Nice! Glad it worked. At this point we're in the same boat. I'm not sure how to properly flash a new firmware even though i've got an identical working one. It seem's I've tried everything and the closest i've gotten is just getting the screen to light up blank, which hasn't happened in a long while now. I used the instructions in the PDF file below except i replaced the bootloader.img, boot.img & recovery.img files from a backup I made, ran heroflash.bat and rebooted the device and now the screen comes on blank. Not sure where to go from here though. I'll keep trying

It looks like there's an issue with that specific u-boot.bin (u-boot-orig.bin) within that package. Although the fact that it shows up in device manager as Portable device means that part of it was written by the flash utility. Have you tried force-ably replacing the drivers from portable device to android adb drivers. This might allow you to access the adb recovery mode.
Alternatively if ADB doesnt show any devices after replacing the drivers, you might want to uninstall the adb drivers that didnt work, once it appears as portable device again, the tablet might be looking for its new firmware on the sdcard. Check out the page in the link and follow the instructions for "Method One - SD Card Method for a "soft" brick". It involves restoring a factory image onto the sdcard using a handy tool "USB Image tool" and then rebooting. It might kick in an update from the sd.

Also I could upload the aml flash files that are getting me into adb recovery mode every time
I have two of the units mentioned in the thread title. One simply is stuck at the Alcatel logo after a reboot. I can get into the stock recovery, have done a factory reset (plus cache), but still just stuck at the logo. I've also popped it open and unplugged the battery (it's the attached kind), but still back at a logo after everything was back together.
I mentioned that I had two because the other one is working fine and available to use for a firmware dump. The issue I'm running into is that a cat /proc/mtd command returns no partitions (just blank) and there is no emmc on this unit. From what I've read, bad Chinese firmwares sometimes do not report out partition tables from mtd. So, all the guides I've found for using MTK Rom Studio, MTK Droid Tools, and SP Flash Tool don't work for me (at the moment) because I cannot produce a firmware.info or scatter file, due to mtd not populating the required info. Also, from what I gather, there is no firmware file available for this. I've tried using the Mobile Upgrade program from Alcatel, but it reports that the ROM is the most up-to-date and then quits. Yay.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. I'm not desperate or anything; just hoping to get this one back working is all.

I'm not sure how to fix your device without knowing more about it. Is it possible you could provide the firmware dump of the one that is working? I was interested in using such to get a working TWRP recovery going for this model. With a working recovery, might be able to do more for your bricked unit.
I can provide some of the images - a noted exception is for the System partition, as I have already mucked with that one while doing my experimentation with my own.
If you already have the working one rooted, I would suggest just using dd and looking under /dev/devices/by-name (I think that is what it is called) which should provide you access to the partitions you need and what they are called.

Thanks for the reply. Let me see what I can do. This model is very odd, I have to admit. The fact that it does not use emmc, but instead mtd, yet a cat /proc/mtd produces nothing is baffling to me.

What you're trying to do is for older MTK phones....as in like everything not just the cat /proc/mtd.
What you have to do it make a backup of your working tab and flash the brick tab with the back up.

Alcutel pixi 3 (7) 4G 9007T tablet soft bricked
decided to play around with cleaning up the bloatware and Sprint installed junk on my Alcutel one touch pixi 3 (7) 4G 9007T tablet running originally android 5.1.1 , and ended up soft bricked stuck in a loop cycle of optimizing/staring apps, have scoured XDA and every other resource i have seen and for every device but this one there seems to be a fix, a stock rom, etc ,... one good thing is i am able to factory reset to at least enable debugging for adb access (though fastboot wont detect it) and hence cant get the device into a fastboot mode or unlock the loader.
Is there any compatible roms or recoveries out there for this particular device
Recovery <3e> Android L(not sure how to get a recovery log dump for providing more info)
I used nobloat app from google play had things pretty well cleaned up but thought to see how far i could go and i used the backup function in the app, but evidently i deleted something I shouldn't have and of course after trying a factorry rest the nobloat backup would be gone even if i could get botted back up)
after recovery I do get through the intitial setup, wifi, google account login etc,.. (using safemode) but if i use google backup files it gets to the loop fast, so i try to skip all that being restored, and am able to get to the settings to enable developer mode /debugging mode but once I exit that its a blank screen outside the clock showing then it reboots and keeps in the abov mentioned loop.
(as i mentioned adb detects the device but fastboot won't it just stuck on "waiting for any device"
[LOOK AT POST #2 FOR UPDATES]
Good Morning/noon/afternoon/night whatever. Since I'm the dumbest man alive, I've messed up my tablet once again. Yesterday, I wanted to flash Valera's Project Treble zip, and i followed each and every single instruction UNTIL before flashing the GSI. I was following a guide on XDA and it said that no heavy modifications (SuperSU or Magisk) can stay. So I was worried because I still had magisk installed (T820 Tweaked by @rorymc928). Then in Valera's forum it was written that if i flash @ashyx TWRP, i can format everything and all would be good to go. BUT when I used Valera's TWRP to flash ashyx's TWRP image, nothing worked. It was stuck on download mode. So the next day (today) I used ODIN to flash the Stock ROM, but while doing that the Tab rebooted for no reason. And now the Tab is showing "An error has occured while flashing the device software" and whatever mode I went to, it kept rebooting after some time, so I can't flash ANYTHING. As a last ditch effort, I nand flashed the Stock ROM and that failed too. Now I'm desperate to do anything. Please help. I beg
Edit: Now I've messed up real bad. Since download mode wasn't staying on for more than 30 seconds, I decided to flash the OS in parts. First, I flashed the bootloader (BL). This is where the problems began. While flashing, the fricking tab rebooted and now my tab is in a veggie state. Nothing works, doesn't respond to ANYTHING. Upon connecting to PC, it displays "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008". From what I can see, the entire boot partition and some core Qualcomm files got messed up. So I beg anybody for a solution. (Especially the people I trust: @rorymc928 @JordanBleu and @ashyx)
On YouTube I saw someone using EMMC Dongle to fix their Samsung phone, using a raw dump of the device. So i would ask anybody to give me a raw dump of the SM-T820 32 GB version OR tell me how to solve this problem please (I can't stress this enough)

Hello, and sorry for what happened to your tab.
Infact, it wasn't recommended to flash the OS in separate parts like you did, but when you were flashing them you should have seen if the "auto reboot" case in Odin was checked or not (and you should have unchecked it).
I must to be clear : you have to tell us if TWRP still works (which isn't probable) or if your download mode (Odin mode) still works, which is the basic of all, even on bricked devices.
If it works then you can reflash all the firmware again, BUT COMPLETELY AND NOT IN PARTS, if it doesn't work, then.... Your tab is deeply bricked and won't recover in an easy way.

Uh oh. Yeah TWRP and Download mode all don't work. Nothing works. Only after connecting to the PC it shows QDLoader 9008 mode. And the reason I flashed it in parts is because THE DAMN TAB WOULDN'T STAY ON, EVEN AFTER I LET IT CHARGE FOR 5 HOURS. And even after I flashed it in parts it just rebooted and the bootloader flash failed. So yeah, hard bricked.
Oh and @JordanBleu I wonder if you have an SM-T820. Do you?

If you are talking about the wifi version, then sadly no (I only have the cellular variant, SM-T825).
I hope I can help you even with the cellular version.

Thanks a lot for giving your help. My plan is this:
My tab is in EDL Mode, and I saw on Google that EDL Devices can boot to SD Card when the eMMC Fails. So what I want to do is flash the bootloader and the PIT File to an SD Card, using the image pulled from your Tab.
Now the problem is:
1: The tutorials I found for doing this are OLD (like Galaxy S3 old).
2: I have no clue where the bootloader is stored on Samsung devices.
And also here is the tutorial I found for the Galaxy S3:
"1: Boot the device to TWRP and connect it to PC and open ADB (if you don't have it install "minimal ADB and Fastboot")
Now type the following commands:
ADB devices (to check if your device is detected).
If it is OK then do:
ADB shell
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p1 of=/external_sd/part1.img
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p2 of=/external_sd/part2.img
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4 of=/external_sd/part4.img
OK you see one number is always changing... we need this with following numbers:
1 2 4 5 6 7 10 11 14 15
Partition 10 and 14 are a bit larger so the command may look like it's stuck but it isn't."
Could you mind performing these steps and sending the files to AndroidFileHost?
Thanks in advance if you do.
And if it works I'll make a guide for everyone who has a hard bricked Tab.
By coincidence, without knowing your post, I recently read something about EDL I didn't know anything about before.
Perhaps this helps.

This adress seems censored so you have to replace the star by (custom) followed directly by (droid).
I've asked that guy if it's possible to build such a flashable file from the stock ROM but didn't get an answer yet.

Good morning. Yeah I've tried that site because @rorymc928 gave me that website a long time ago (and it didn't go well). EDL devices can boot from the SD, so I wanted the bootloader image from anybody's Tab S3. I'd be very happy if you managed to give me.

Giving you the boot.img is not the problem but mine is for T825.
Don't know if they differ.
You could extract it from of the stock T820 ROM files couldn't you?
If you still want it, just tell me.
But as far as I understand the a. m. site the tool can only flash .elf or .mbn files didn't read about .img files.

Man that's a bummer. You didn't understand my request. I don't need the boot.img (I already have it). What I need is the image of the BOOTLOADER (apdp, NON-HLOS, sec, tz, rpm, cmnlib etc) all combined in an img file. That's only possible if another person with the same device grabs one and sends it to me

Also @bmwdroid well there's nothing to lose, so I'm giving you the thread which mentions how to do it (it was made for the Note 4, so idk if it still works) https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/general/tutorialhow-to-make-debrick-image-t3488082
Sorry that I misunderstood you.
You'll need to reinstall the stock OS with Odin on Windows

Hi @NullCode!
I've googled for the recovery process because I would use custom ROM on my SM-T590, so I want to make sure it can be restored if something goes wrong, and found your thread.
For me, in the downloaded official Samsung ROM there is a BL_T590(...) file which you can open with WinRAR (of course, download the FW for your model, for example with Frija). Then it will give you files like aboot.mbn.lz4 (I think this one is the Android bootloader), apdp.mbn.lz4, cmnlib.mbn.lz4, etc. You can decompress these files with LZ4 command line tool, and then you may be able to reflash them in EDL mode.
Edit: On some forums I found that they didn't decompress LZ4 files, so I have no idea which way could work.
Also there are some solutions to generate rawprogram.xml files for flashing, but I'm not sure if it's allowed to link them here.
Good luck, and let me know if this worked!
Tools:
Frija: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s10-plus/how-to/tool-frija-samsung-firmware-downloader-t3910594

Hello! Well I would like to thank you for trying to help, but flashing with EDL mode isnt a possibility. Because even if i have the full ODIN firmware [which I do] I would need the official signed Samsung Firehose loader with the Sahara protocol. If that was a bit too complicated [no offence], basically I need to hack into Samsung's servers OR persuade a Samsung repair employee to give me the loader to flash my tab with. Alas, since this isnt a possibility, I am planning to send this tablet to its homeland [America] and get it JTAG flashed, because that is the only thing that can be done for this

Are you sure about that? I mean, isn't the EDL interface universal among Qualcomm SOCs? I think it is, there are lots of tools for flashing, also I haven't seen anything about Samsung locks this option, the only manufacturer that blocks 3rd party flashers is Xiaomi as far I know, but there is a modded flasher software for Xiaomi too. As I can see, there are threads about Galaxy S8 being reflashed and is working fine, so in theory Samsung doesn't lock bootloaders.
Also there is a file for MSM8996 for Galaxy Note 8 which is Snapdragon 820 in your tablet. It's in the G930XU5 folder.

No no Samsung doesn't block EDL mode at all (in fact, my tablet ONLY goes to EDL mode now), the problem is the flash loader, which is specific to each device. Xiaomi used to generously provide Fastboot ROMs which used the loader we are talking about and EDL mode to flash things, but they don't do that anymore.
Also, I tried the G930XU5 thing the day I wrote this thread, and it was stuck at 50% and didn't do anything else (I think this happened because the loaders are also flash chip dependant and the one in the Note 8 thread is UFS while the Tab S3 uses eMMC). Oh another thing, could you tell me the names of flashers that use EDL mode? I've only heard of QFIL and MiFlash

Final update: Well, someone from a mobile service explained me how it works, basically without a firehose file which is signed by Samsung specifically for the device, we can't do anything. I hope the files will be available for the public, because this way Samsung just forces their users to pay for a "repair" which could be done at home using the official Qualcomm solutions.
QPST - Official Qualcomm flasher
emmcdl - I think this one can do the flashing with multiple files since it has options like sector address, etc, also you can find a fota.zip (password for fota.zip is fotatest1234) inside the official Samsung ROM which has some partition table informations
Z3X Samsung Tool PRO - Looks like it can do many things, but doesn't start up for me, says "Card not found"
blankflash - This one is for Motorola devices, but who knows
sahara - You can find it on GitHub, there is an example .xml file too
And possibly many others which I haven't found yet.
Update: I found an app called PIT Magic, it can show partition table info and memory addresses after unpacking CSC and selecting the .pit file. Maybe that can be useful when used together with emmcdl, like flashing SBL back with emmcdl -p ttyUSB0 -b SBL1 C:\path_to_sbl1.mbn or with using these adresses in .xml files.
Update #2: There are some firehose files on "OneLabsTools" GitHub page for MSM8996 too.

You could try flashing twrp . It dont take more than 5 second. You only have to be prepare to enter to recovery mode because your device reboot automaticly

yeah I did say that a while before but I'm glad you understood. Without this "programmer" there is nothing we can do.
there's also a high likelihood that Samsung won't provide the firehose files because every company just wants money nowadays
