[Q] Car dock for S2? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I'm a iPhone 4 user and I'm sort of in love with Samsung Galaxy S II
But there is only one reason that I don't change iPhone to S II, my musics.
I use to listen to my musics during driving by iPod dock. Is there any thing or anyway to do exactly the same (with the music lists, artists, playlist and ...) with Galaxy S II?
I don't want to use 3.5 mm aux or using my phone as a mass storage flash. I want to control musics through the car stereo.
HELP ME PLEASE!!!

[Q] Streaming music via Bluetooth in car with song info text

I have a Motorola Triumph (running CM7) and stream music via Bluetooth to my Sony DSX-S300BTX head unit in my car. The quality and consistency of the audio is flawless and can also use my head unit to change tracks and pause/play music with no issue. I recently began using Google Music on my PC and it made sense to use the Android app for accessibility purposes. The only drawback I have experienced is that the artist and song title info is no longer shown on my car stereo. This functionality worked perfectly using my previous phone (WP7 LG Quantum w/ Zune Pass) and on my current Triumph with the stock music app packaged with any version of CM7. I download and listen to quite a bit of new music and this functionality is pretty much a must have feature for my primary music app.
Does anyone know of a fix/hack for this issue? The only workaround I have thought of would be to sync music via the Google Music app and then listen to it via the stock music app. This is less than ideal due to the fact it involves 2 apps and takes away the option to stream music not downloaded to my phone. Also, the Google Music app has a much nicer UI compared to the stock app. If you don't know of a specific fix, but have some knowledge of A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth profiles and could point me in the right direction as to what all goes into making this work, that would be awesome.
I've a suggestion, most of the Sony headset has aux in, so you can buy an aux in cable in shop, it is quite cheap, I get my 3 metre cable for about Rm3.50 ~2us$. The output quality of the sound should be good compared with Bluetooth. You won't be able to change track via headset, only phone. If you want a great quality, it is a good choice

It has an auxiliary input, as well as 2 USB inputs, but I definitely do not want to use a wired connection. I considered mounting a Nook Color in my car using the aux input and purchasing a head unit that focused purely on audio quality since the Nook would be the central control mechanism by design. The big reason I bought the Sony head unit was for the excellent Bluetooth integration. I don't want to mess with wires, worry about carry a thumb drive with music on it, or worry about constantly updating the flash drive with new music. My current setup is exactly what I envisioned except for the track info problem which I am almost certain is app/phone specific. If I can just get this last little thing figured out I will have everything I want out of my set up. Information regarding this issue seems to be pretty spotty, so any input would be appreciated.
same issue
I have the same issue with my 2012 Volvo and my Sony Arc. While streaming with my 2 year old blackberry it will show the song info text in the car stereo but with my Sony Arc it just says "streaming". The skipping of songs back and forth works fine with the car controls although it seems for both phones you cannot scroll the song menu in the phone like you would with a USB stick or play random.
Did you find a work around to this?
I have 2011 Ford Focus and my wife's phone (SG2) streams track info, yet her old HTC Desire nor my HTC Desire HD dont. I have tried heaps of roms. Is it a hardware limitation?

my Ace and Clarion FZ709e bluetooth No audio in calls

Hello xda-ers i want to share with u a problem of bluetooth audio between my ace and my clarion Fz609e car audio with bluetooth ...
since i bought the phone (i bought the car audio 2 months earlier ) i connected my phone via bluetooth to my car audio to hear the calls throug cars speakers and make happen the ''handsfree'' driving
But i have no audio when i make or receive a call whatsoever....
the car audio has ''bluetooth audio'' function (u can play songs from ur phone and hear them through the speakers of the car ) and with this function i hear Perfectly the music and i can stop/pause music with my car audio
i've checked the compatiblility status of ace in the clarion site and it says that
Phone name Handsfree Phonebook Audio
Galaxy ACE Yes *13, *22 Yes Yes *15
*13 Call cannot be transferred to mobile phone/radio unit.
*22 The ringtone which is preset in navigation will come out instead of the ringtone transferred by mobile phone.
*16 It is not available to operate by unit. (it is )
well i understand that the problem is the car audio and i don't have the money to replace it (the unit and the phone have simillar prices hah )
Does anyone have any suggestion ? maybe if the ace has an indentical bluetooth module with galaxy s or sII (the car unit works with those two ) maybe i can put the SGS or SGSII bluetooth drivers to my ace and work ? or put a diffirent driver to work ?
i am very sad that isn't working and i cannot make/receive calls ....
sorry for my english

[Q] Bluetooth sound docks, how do they work?

So, I'm considering getting a nice little sound dock for my nightstand in order to get better sound while in bed, relaxing, or whatever, and I've seen mention of some docks with bluetooth.
This may sound stupid, but how exactly does that work? Can the phone send your music via bluetooth to the sounddock, and you control it via the phone with whatever media player you're using? If so, is the Galaxy Note I717 capable of this? Or do bluetooth sound docks just read your music from your phone via bluetooth and you use controls on the dock to play the music?

[Q] Unable to use bluetooth remote controls after update to JB

I've tried to find an answer to this question by searching the forums and the internet but couldn't find it.
I have an bluetooth car stereo paired to my S3 with telephone and media audio. While running the stock ICS rom I could use the FORWARD and NEXT buttons of my radio to skip to the next song in spotify while using google navigation. Now I have updated my S3 to JB. If I try to skip to the next song, the only thing happens is that the stock mp3 player starts. Skipping songs within spotify only works if spotify is the active app. I read of disabling the 'standard' mp3 player but I do like to use that app for long mp3 mixes. The standard mp3 player now also starts to play automaticaly when I connect my phone to my car stereo. Anyone any ideas how to get back to the old way without flashing ICS?
Its an issue with most jb roms. Something about new Bluetooth libraries or something like that. Same issue for my note and nexus
