[Live Wallpaper] Asus MyWater2 (orca) - Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime

I know interest in this particular wallpaper has been expressed in numerous threads, so here it is.
Here is an installable apk for the Asus MyWater2 live wallpaper from the Transformer Prime.

I can confirm that it works just fine on my original Transformer (TF101), so it should work on additional tablets running Honeycomb (3.1.x) or later.

how about android phones?

The minimum supported API version equates to Android 2.2. It might work, but it probably won't be optimal due to resource requirements for the tablet sized images.

Works really great on Samsung Galaxy S2 - didn't expect that! Thanks for sharing.

Works great with my Tmobile Galaxy S2. Thank you so much for this. It looks really awesome!
can't wait to get my prime.

Works ok on my gtab, but instead of whales there is just a block going by.

There were folks with that same issue using the original MyWater on some devices. When I get some free time, I'll see if anything can be done to correct it

Works well on my TF101

Works well on Toshiba Thrive, running Android 3.2. My wife is a huge orca fan and is overjoyed, thanks!

It works well on my Dell Streak 5 with DSC_0.63b

M an HD2 user and have been able to apply all your modded ASUS live wallpapers without any issue. This one too works but having the same issue - hollow block for whale. Hopefully, you can provide us a fix. In case, not possible, at least if you can guide me to remove that block. I can be happy with even without the whale, since the scenery itself look gorgeous....

Thank you for the reply.
No... charging bubbles are just fine and shown properly. The white block is only for whale. Rotation is also working without any issues.

Installed on my ATrix4g. But when I go to look at it or apply it as wallpaper, it force closes. same thing happened on other APK or widgets I pulled from prime rom dump.

Also, just figured out that clicking on the settings button force closes this wallpaper (at least in my case). No big deal, since it could be just the option of "Enable/Disable Water Rotation", which is anyway Enable by default. Just keeping you posted.

It does work on my TF but the water does not react as fluid to movement as with the other Water Live wallpaper that you made.

Did you try both of the available options under settings?
I really didn't "make" the wallpaper. I simply pulled it from a system dump, deodexed it, signed it, zip aligned it, and shared it here. I do plan on tinkering with it a bit when I have some free time.

Yes, I tried both settings. But the water does not moves smooth.
But you did 'made' the Rubber Duckie Live wallpaper?! That and

No-Go on the Sensation. Everything loads and looks great for a good 3 seconds and then FC.
But thanks. No biggie. Just going to wait for the Prime to actually sell so I can buy one. LOL

Hi @jshmier
Looking forward to a tweaked version of this wallpaper, to get rid of the white block for the whale on some devices, if at all you find time for the same.

Inspired by the Wuvuzela app (and possibly by the announcement of Portal 2 at E3), I've developed a simple little application that allows you to blow into your phone's microphone to blow out candles on a cake.
The options screen, displayed before running the app, now allows you to Calibrate your device's microphone. Simply touch "Calibrate", press OK, and blow into your phones mic until told to stop. The minimum decibels needed blow out the candles are now set to your current environment.
You can also enable the tune, which will play the Happy birthday tune after blowing out the candles.
Finally, you can change the preset message to something more personal, such as "Happy Birthday, Michele!"
Features:
-Blow out candles with your phones mic
-Custom birthday message
-Calibrated to your environment
-New, prettier birthday cake
-Happy birthday tune played in the background
Tested and working on my HTC HD2, but should work on other devices as well.
Let me know what you think/if you have any problems.

That's strange, I suppose the app can't get a hold on your devices microphone. Again, it's only been tested on the HD2.
Nice Application......Thanks
work great on omnia even just half screen...thank..
thanks for this good idea ! But in my HTC Touch HD, doesn't work : the candle is still there even if I blow strongly...
Nice app. But bad for your HD2's mic (corrosion!).
Didn't work on Samsung Omnia 2 (i8000)
Nice application.
But will be better if we can edit the message.
Thank you very much for application. Today is my birthday, even I can't switch off the candle.
I will try to restart the phone just in case.

Happy Birthday! Buy a real cake and share it with family and friends
If I may give my input
I think this application is useless, however many people like useless applications. To be quite honest, I think If you added the happy birthday song within the app that could be played on demand, that would create a much higher demand for it. I know there have been times when its someones birthday and I wish I could play the birthday song..... If this idea intrigues you let me know when you add it so I can be the first to test it out.... seems pretty simple....Good luck
great start....has great potential !!! why not try a new app of bits of paper.....that fly in pointed direction when blown in the mic ????

Happy holiday to all of you!
Thank you everyone for your suggestions. Once I get off vacation, I'll be sure to see about adding these features.
Also, can anyone see about getting me a cake image I can edit? One without a giant Portal gun?

it would be "my beach hd," but sense 3.0 seems to cause issues (won't allow you to pan to see rest of the scene)... maybe when i get sick of sense, i'll run it. Is this normal for most side-scrolling LWPs while using Sense 3.0 or only some of them?

this is because of sense 3.0 and its carousel feature. The new update to my beach hd says that it has a new setting that scrolls back and forth while sitting on the home screen, im guessing they did this for sense 3.0 users!

I guess I'll make sure everyone knows about these properly this time...I noticed someone started a thread asking for a phone port of the Asus mywater livewallpaper, a cool LWP where the levels of the liquid represent your battery life also..

Once you put a bunch of app icons and widgets on the screen, this 3D business makes the scrolling even choppier than 2.2 roms on evo 4g (with the same number of home screen items).

Try something like launcher pro. Maybe you are just used to choppy scrolling.
how do you change live wallpaper settings? i know some have color options and stuff
Canopy Live Wallpaper is by far my favorite. It's very simple, vector-style with lots of customization for performance and density. Very classy, and doesn't feel so "busy" that it distracts my eye from the content on the screen. Love it!
There's a free version, and a pro version for $0.99

those do look great, and today is one of the few days I happened to be live and at the computer when you posted your request. The images are rotated the wrong way, not a big deal but they are the wrong size too. 274 x 116 px is what I need and I can fit it into the stretchable png along the guide lines and make it match the text. When i took the images you gave me and made them the correct size the look stretched, add android stretching them for different size messages and it's going to look bad. I'm happy to do this for you, but if you could send me the correct sizes I wouldn't have to make these from scratch.

Unless you can make these work. They will probably have to be ran through draw9patch to work. Not sure.
Sorry, just read your post again. Those are no where near the size you need. i will see what I can come up with real quick if you can patch them. I'm at work and dont have a lot to work with.
Will these work? I didnt have anyway to run them through draw9 here at work.
Sorry they were still upside down.

Do you have any themes available? I only see online, but when I click on online there is nothing available.
Since it IS 17 bucks, and i don't want my money going to waste like it did with SPB shell which was a bunch of bs... I'm going to pirate it, test it, if its buggy uninstalled, if its as how the video shows it to be, then hell yeah buying it however i can. now... time to find a pirating website haha
Alright, just pirated the app ( i will not share where I got it) I'll test it out for a day or two and let you guys know how its doing.
and for people who are having trouble with the compatibility,
try setting your LCD density to 220 im at that and its compatible on the market for me.
OR
PM the dev saying its not working, and possibly you can directly pay him and he can give you the apk? or even fix the problem if so many people are havin git.
First impressions: It's smooth, i won't lie there, it does what its been saying so far.
I've also noticed that all the app icons are LOW RES.
Changing the LCD density to 220 didn't work for me, still not compatible on the Market.

I'm calling bull**** lol because the first thing I did was buy the app, back it up with titanium back up, then refund it only to find out it has a license check. So I said **** it and bought it.
Use lucky patched. Its fast but feels like there's 90 steps to make a phone call. Its really fast and visually appealing but I can use launcher pro with my eyes closed so ill stick with that...and its free hehe

[TWRP][THEME] - Cold Steel

Not too many people theme TWRP for the devices I've owned. No idea if people just don't want to, don't know how, or don't care. It's actually a remarkably powerful and simple little theme engine baked into it and I love it. This is my second full TWRP theme. My other is for the Nexus 7.
TWRP version needed: - 2.3.3.0
Install: In your TWRP folder in the root of your "sdcard" make a folder called "theme" and drop the ui.zip into it
Uninstall: Delete the ui.zip
v0.5 / 1.22.13 / 3.6MB
v1.0 / 1.22.13 / 5.18MB
v1.5 / 1.23.13 / 5.24MB
Changes since v0.5
* - Finished replacing all the MAIN_BUTTON references for our device. You may have seen my original button mockup in various locations like the file manager etc. These are now all replaced with my final design like you see on the front menu. 48 individual buttons have been made to replace all the large buttons in TWRP with custom ones. If you happen to see any more of the original buttons in the interface (vertical long heart looking button) please let me know. I'm pretty certain I got them all for our device but you never know. As of 1.0 I can call this complete as the bulk of the interface is done and could walk away and know nothing is terribly flawed. The next release will focus on all the little default buttons which there are only a few of and the tiny little icons and such..
Changes since v1.0
A few more default images replaced.. Changed text color in the main interface to white to make less text blend into the wallpaper. Some still does but there isn't much to do about it except make the text a color that would "clash" with the overall theme. Cancel / Clear text that was showing through the button when setting a backup name fixed. This is the final version unless something major is reported as wrong.
Crappy SLR shot to give a rough idea of what you're installing

@styckx great theme. I love it and it works great.
Thanks. v1.5 is up now. Resolving a few issues and replacing a few more images. As noted in the OP this is the last update. I'm happy with it as it stands now.
This one is cool, but that Nintendo one is SICK! Good job man. Any possibility of a Nintendo theme for the 10? Either way thanks for your efforts

Thanks.. I'm definitely doing another theme. I haven't decided on a theme yet.. I wanted to get the basics of the default layout down which I'm now very comfortable with.
Next theme is going to be a lot more different. Where as this one and the NES one I basically redecorated the default layout, the next I will be rearranging everything in my own layout.

Ok.. Deal.. Blue it is and I have a theme started.. We're going to go with a clean, warm, friendly, inviting, professional easy on the eyes look.
Here is a teaser.. Don't expect anything for a while though. I work in spurts and this is going to take a lot longer. I'll start a new thread about this particular theme when I'm closer to finished

Love the theme!
Felt retarded not being able to get it to work. Realized I was still on TWRP 2.3.2.3.
Apparently the theme only works on 2.3.3.0(+?).
But glad I got it now!
