What did I do? - Motorola Droid X2

I have no clue what the heck this means? Even with this little warning or message, my phone still works ok. I don't seem to notice any huge difference with the performance. Eventually I'll do a battery pull and it goes away. Any idea what this means?

That is your task manager letting you know something is running to much. Hit the warning and see which app it is and kill it manually if needed. At least look and see which app it is causing the warning.

Gotcha. I opened the task manager and nothing seemed to be our of the norm. I think next time I'll snap some screen shots so I can track stuff like that. Thanks for the help.

I gotta ask... What app is the memory/battery/sdcard space app? Thanks!

Its Super Manager. A free app. IMO, one of the must have apps.

Im willing to bet that supermanager may either look to task manager like its running way to.much cpu
Or u just have way to many damn apps running lol
I have found so many task.manager apps to be useless and even detrimental to ur performance.
hell...just opening native task manager app uses up to 40% of ur cpu I have seen...
Useless...and what are u afraid of that u use lookout? Has it EVER found a malware app? Do u live in china? Lol....sorry...im not trying to dig into ya AT ALL ....just curious

I like Lookout for the tracking if I was to loose my phone. Other than that, nothing really. Super Manager is more than just a task manager. I like the other features it has. If y'all have any suggestions about those areas, lemme hear'em. I'm kinda shooting in the dark here.

What are your thoughts? Has your market updated yet?
It look nice, but it has hidden one important feature from me: The ability to set whether apps auto-update or not!! Anyone know a way around this?
not yet.....
i keep checking it every 20 mins....

The auto-updating feature is fawkin' annoying, can I turn it off?
can you upload the apk please??
Sure can.
Lemme know if that works.
thank you so much!!!! you are the best!!!
Is this 2.2.6 or 2.2.7?
Sent from my Overclocked, FroYo'ed-up 2.2.1 EVO 4G
Not sure. The application manager says it's version 2002207. So... 2.2.7?
I didn't receive it, but after clearing the app cache I got it directly

Press on "My apps" and then the app you want to change settings for. Then deselect "Allow automatic updating" in the beginning of the white area.
I meant how to stop the market from auto-updating.
Edit: When I first got that update, the option to stop individual apps from auto-updating was missing. In a recent update it has returned, however.
But I still want the market to stop updating silently in the background. I'd rather it let me know than "SURPRISE! The market has updated against your will! So much for an open platform!"

Change the app drawer icon

I dunno if its been posted on here before or not but I thought Id let anyone know that didnt know already
The app drawer icon always annoyed me and Ive wanted something different, you can change the app drawer icon but only using ADW, might be able to do it on other launchers too, but Im not sure Ive only tried it on ADW
Simply long press the app drawer icon and you can change it from the pop up, you can also customize what it does, basically the same as you would on a phone.... dont know why I didnt think of this earlier

You and me both bro haha
I made mine invisible using StaticText. I use swipe down gesture on ADW to open the drawer anyway.

[Q] Apps Re Arranging

Hi guys, first post here. Long time reader, and this site has been amazing, the search function and wealth of knowledge here is incredible. Well, I've flashed my Galaxy s2 a couple of times and am currently on XXKI4. It was an Optus branded unlocked phone, and thanks to you fellas here, it's a slick, smooth phone with no bloatware.
So, this ones stumped me, and haven't found it so far, but when I turn my phone off, or clear the memory, two apps in the apps drawer get mixed up. Now, again thanks to XDA, I found if you move some apps to SD, this can happen, so I moved offending apps back to internal, but the two that always move are TASKS, and TASK MANAGER. I always have to put them back, as I keep my apps in alphabetical order, and it's getting annoying. These two are obviously a system app, and have no option to move them in Tiranium Backup PRO.
Anybody have any ideas.
Thanks in advance,
Mark.

Do you not think having a signature 700px high is a bit overkill?
Hey thanks for the tip on AppZorter. Well, when I looked it up, the description in the app gave me the tip.
What I did was go to Settings>Applications>Running Services then clicked on the "All" tab. Scroll down to TwLauncher and cleared the data. I had to rearrange everything again, but now I can clear memory, or reboot phone, and everything stays as it is. I didn't bother downloading the app, as I don't have too much on the phone, so arranging stuff myself is a 2-3 minute job.
I hope this helps someone else.
Mark.

green star in task bar dropping ads on my moto. what is it?

So latley I have been getting a green star in the status bar and when I drop the bar down it is an ad... I have no clue what this is. has any one seen it before? the ads come at random times so i cannot pinpoint what is causing them. I have adfree installed and updated, I froze a few questionable apps such as datacollection and what not via Titanium, but this stupid thing keeps popping up...
Help? please?
Oh yea, Rooted stock locked...

If you want, you can opt out of those ads (there is a link in the notification bar when you get one). Then you can keep those apps or install others without having to worry about being bothered

[Q] Can anyone help me stop this??

I have been desperately attempting to keep Google Maps from writing down every place I go!
I have checked all the "don't share my location" type boxes. This is deeper than that.
Check these screen shots.

Can anyone recommend a way to STOP google maps from running, unless I specifically open the app myself?

You can freeze the application and unlock it when you need
im in the same boat. if rooted use gemini app manager to stop it from autostarting.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
Download an app killer loads of free ones on the market
Should close the app permanently unless you specifically open it
Then to close it just open the app killer thing again and close down google maps using that
Freezing would be a better option, killing it doesn't deny it from restarting later.
After you've disabled in autostart, it wont autostart anymore.. unless there's an app starting it...
have you check htc setting? there is one option that you can view your phone online...
