That's right, Indirect needs a new phone and wants you all to donate...kidding. -read below-
This is more of a thread to be offtopic for this section so you can chat about your day and whatnot.
On topic for the thread though: I do need a new phone which makes my day upsetting. How is everyone?
Got a paper clip?

On a more practical note, try Craigslists' bartering forums. If you are good with phone mods (or whatever), you can probably find a service-for-old-phone deal or two on there.
It does take persistence, so I'd suggest setting up a script bot to search & reply to any lead. If you live in a big city, you should get plenty of leads.
sounds like someone else is board... like me i usually buy used phones off of ebay. You will be amazed how many people just have old phones laying around and dont realize they can sell them on ebay. Even if they dont work. People are always looking for parts. So, I would start out by asking friends and family if they have old phones laying around, then go to ebay if you have no luck.

Lightly Used, comes with original packaging and etc. And I might throw in a 2GB memory card.
The phone has an Upgraded ROM. It is currently running Open Touch Vista 2 (Biggy version). Runs smoothly and quickly with no bugs or anything. I am sad to part with it but I need a much simpler phone.
I will post pics later today. Buyer pays shipping of course.
$300 OBO
P.M me
i have no personal objection to people selling their devices on the forum, but the general consensus is that you're not allowed to. We tend to look the other way for members that have been here a long time and contributed alot, but seeing as it's your first post, I have to say that this is..... naughty (right word?)
I suggest ebay.
I moved this in the accessories forum.
Be very careful when buying things over the internet.
I've seen threads like this before where accessories are listed in one thread and sticked so they don't get lost in the fray.
I'm sure we'll be getting some more gTab people coming in and it would be easier for everybody. There's a lot of stuff that people won't know to hunt for or could miss.
Could we get this done? Could you add both Androidstickers.com and the Carbon Fiber Cover from Getshadeonlline.com to the list?
Maybe it can be locked and the actual creators can send a PM to have their accesories added.
interesting idea, dont forget the canadian place with the dock.

So I know the Market section is closed for sales and trades, no idea why. I am assuming it was due to some legitimate issues. But my question is will the Market section ever come back? I would assume that if it wasn't, the mod would have removed it all together, but its still there. Been trying to find a place to trade with people but not having much luck. Is there any place that people trade android devices?
It was closed because users were abusing it. Basically people scamming others and people were not taking the proper precautions to protect themselves when making a deal with another member.
Celltraderonline is a good website to check, quite a few of the well known xda member in the market place are over there.
Or if you rather buy a phone, swappa is a good site to check as well.

I kind of assumed as much was going on in the Market Section. Its pretty sad. Thank you for the suggestions.

Yeah its sad that there's low life's on here that scam people, ruining the MP for other members. Hopefully the people who were scammed, learned a lesson and take the proper precautions when dealing with anyone, whether online or in person.
You're welcome!

Yeah, I have only done one trade on here and it was great. It was a great feeling knowing that options like this are here for people that don't have alot of extra money to pay full retail value for devices. All well, hopefully in the future.
Hi, I am new to the site, So I will say sorry now if I am posting this in the wrong spot or if someone else has answered this question already. I tried to do a search in here before posting this, I did not find anything.
My gf works for a hotel and when people leave items such as old phones, they have to get rid of them after a while, they either throw them away or keep them if the person does not come back for them. I was given this Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on T-Mobile. The person who owned it never came back for it, but blacklisted it, so I'm assuming he/she got a new phone with insurance, just my guess. I would like to know how I can use this with my AT&T service. I have already rooted the phone, deleted tons of apps I no longer need or use. The phone is basically a small tablet right now. I have looked, and looked on the internet for a few years now with no lucky, the only luck I have come close to having is a place in a mall getting it to work, but I would have to pay $50 and they said no guarantee it would stay unblacklisted. So my main question, is there a way I can get this thing working with AT&T or is this not possible? I have seen another post similar but not quite the same, someone said all you have to do is install an AT&T Firmware over the T-Mobile one, I have only seen one person say this and it was on here, all of the other searches throughout the years on other sites have said nothing about this. So I'm at a stand still here, No clue what I should do. I know some people just say, use one of those websites that do it, well I don't trust those, So I would rather find a fix I can actually try myself. I know it's an older phone, but It would be cool to try it out as a phone for a while to see if I would want to change over to an Android Phone.
It seems the general attitude of a lot of patrons has changed as well as some developers. Back when rooting was still in its begging I remember people really trying to help one another and being very through with instructions. Newbee's were guided instead of told to read it on google or become a developer. It just seems to me there has been a kind of lack of respect from the site in general. Tutorials are done quickly with not every single step involved explained. People ask questions and some times there basically told to "pound sand". I have seen arguments and people leaving because of it. I have seen where if a thread is not read in it's entirety (up to 300 posts some times) there are so many revisions but it seems like never a "final cut" of the instructions, that one could brick there phone. It makes it difficult for new people, and sometimes it seems like not friendly environment and I feel like the comradery just is not there anymore. I feel some moderators let certain comments slide and others stand. That the uniformity is kinda missing too. All I want is for people to get along, try to genuinely help one and another. If someone is struggling don't shun them. Also a lot more appreciation for the hard work these Devs do, it just seems like it is just "expected". All I want is a nicer environment to spend my free time in, because in the end, not too many people come here to work or get paid, but as a hobby or leisure time. Im just griping a little because I was just going thru older random threads and I noticed this slow progression to where XDA is now. Kinda need to get back to its "Roots".
It's all the same everywhere. Old people got other commitment while new generation are self entitled. Live with it.
