Sorry if this has been asked before, but is there a seperate wallpaper storage other than the gallery for miui? I only ask because I wanted to share my current wallpaper with a buddy of mine, but the pic is not in my gallery. I've checked the zedge folder, and hd wallpaper folder. Any help would be much appreciated.
Good question. The only way would be to take the .mtz theme file itself, open it via 7-Zip, and remove the wallpaper from the "Wallpaper" folder.
If you upload the theme (.mtz file) as an attachment I'll gladly extract the wallpaper for you.
Thanks for the tip. I found the backup of my current theme, and extracted it from that. Strangely enough, when i tried with 7-zip i kept getting an error about unsupported compression type. I changed the extension from .mtz to .zip, and had no problems extracting with winrar.

Moved as not development.
As for how to get live wallpaper check out a stock in CWM format and extract the .apk needed.

if I change(the color of a) png file using photoshop and save it back in the folder the same format. would i see the change when i flash the .zip file

Hello friends, i'm wondering if i can use the animated logo (while starting the phone) in some of the rom it has a cool animated picture, can i use it as a wallpaper for the phone?
and if it is possible..where can i find the file on the device so i can select it ?
thanx alot
have a gr8 day
you can use any moving gif image with some program from the market called
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.direxar.animgiflivewallpaper2&hl=el
or any similar program
but the bootanimation ist only a group of pictures (*.png)... so i think its not so easy to use it for livewallpaper.
bootanimation.zip shall be found in system/media or system/customize/resource/
Bootanimation is located in /system/media/ as zip file. Copy this bootanimation.zip file to your PC and extract it. You will get a few png files. Rename these png files to 1.png, 2.png, 3.png, 4.png... Copy these renamed files to SD card, for example to sdcard://mylivewp folder.
Install from market LWP Creator and in the LWP Creator set the folder path to sdcard://mylivewp.
okay, i don't know that it is so easy... thanks!
thx it's really cool
i've just fund an app, which allows you to use a bootanimation as a wallpaper...

How do you add this to my MIUI launcher? It says to move the zip file to folder MIUI/gadget/photo_frame/. There was no folder so I created one and placed the zip in the folder. I still am unable to fined the widget within the MIUI launcher. Am I putting the file in the wrong place or doing something wrong?
I couldn't find a clear answer for setting up UCCW so I'm hoping someone can explain exactly how the widgets created should be inside the UCCW directory...
some of the new clocks, battery bars, etc. I downloaded come with just a "UZIP" file, some come with a UZIP file & an image and some come with a whole directory that has weather images, fonts, etc. inside.
In the posts & threads I found previously that didn't really explain how to set up the new widgets, they just said "put everything inside the UCCWoutput folder"....
now, if one widget I download unzips to a folder with all that widgets' contents inside should I just put that folder inside the UCCWoutput folder?
or do the fonts go into the "fonts" folder on the SD card and everything else go into the UCCWoutput folder?
right now I have almost everything placed in the UCCWoutput folder...no folder for images or files or font or separate folders for separate widgets...everything is just kind of in there...and only a few of the widgets show up when I try to add one to my screens...I thought maybe that each widget should have it's own folder but from what I read in previous posts I found the explanations were pretty vague...."put so-and-so inside the UCCWoutput folder"....that doesn't explain anything really since some widgets have 1 file and some have a UZIP file, a font file and a bunch of images...
just trying to get this straight so I can use this correctly....and I searched for a good hour & a half without finding a somewhat clear explanation on how to handle all the images, fonts, etc...
all help is appreciated!
no one has any input on setting up one of these widgets?
just trying to figure out if each widget gets it's own folder or not because like 5 or 6 widgets in my directory have different names but they're all the same thumbnails...
the uccwOutput directory is fine but the other one is the one acting crazy...

Well.. Mine is kind of a mess too but I do know it helps to create a folder on the root of your sdcard ( or whatever internal/external/sdcard0/sdcard1 ) labeled fonts and place the fonts in there not the folder for the font. I do not have anything in my uccwoutput folder I have just been putting all my uzips under the regular uccw folder, opening uzips from there, then the folders are created in the same directory where the uzips are. hope this helps let me know if you need anything else
