Hi
is there a way to disable the Haptic Feedback?
I mean the vibration when i do a long tap or a long pression on the power button.
Other devices, like the Galaxy S, have an option for disable it under the "SOUNDS" option. We don't have it.
thanks
Please mention what ROM are you using, stock or CM7, if it is CM7 and you want to disable it globally, navigate to:
CynogenMod Settings > Input Settings > Haptic feedback tweaks > Haptic feedback main and uncheck it.
Thanks, but I have the stock firmware.
Use spare parts from market.
cheers

Isn't there supposed to have a click sound on the keyboard when you press a button?
I just flashed stock rom again, and on the setup I had the click sound, but as soon as I finished it was gone :-(

Did you check/uncheck the box in the settings ???
It could explain it... Or maybe is the sound off... There isn't any click sound when it's on discret mode.

Hey guys,
I just downloaded another voice talk app and would like to replace my default vilingo with it. Is it possible to change the double tap feature with another app? I tried searching but had no luck, any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

This requires developer level modification to the framework. I think a couple of developers have removed the double click, but none have replaced it with something else, afaik.

Here you go, this is exactly what you want for double-tap:http://www.androidzoom.com/android_applications/tools/advanced-home-button_bgrpx.html
With this "Double-Tap" you can launch any app you like.
It also can add other functions too.
Best of all it's free!

If you enabled Quick Controls in stock browser, you still can access the bookmarks. To do it, press and hold the back button. You can access the bookmarks, History, and Saved Pages.

Oh okay. Thanks
I'm using CM9 and during a call, there are no options to mute, hang up, hold, or anything else in notification tray. This is the one thing I loved about the Samsung variant of Android. Do I simply need to install a dialer app from Google Play to get this functionality, or is there a feature in CM9 to enable this?
Can anyone help me get this functionality? Thanks in advance.
What would be the point all those buttons are on the in call screen in ICS?

If you are multitasking outside of the phone app while in speaker phone, isn't it pretty quick to pull down the notification tray and click the phone so the phone app opens (which has all the options), then just switch back to what you were doing? Doesn't even take 5 seconds to go from browser to phone, back to browser...
Although it would be a nice feature, it is not a necessary one.

No offense, but I didn't ask what you thought was necessary. I just want to see if anyone knows how to get what I want. I don't know why people are trying to talk me out of this

There is an input selector icon in the status bar whenever the keyboard pops. If you click that you can easily change the input method.

This should be possible, just need someone with the knowledge and time to make one.
I am sure the S-pen SDK allows us to monitor when the s-pen is removed so we should be able to trigger an app to auto-switch keyboard at that point.

I would argue that double tapping to open smemo is the same amount of work.
It is amazing, however, how awesome it is to have smemo automatically open and close when you pull the pen in and out.
