hi there
.
.
will installing a theme wipe my phone!? do i need to back up everything before i install the theme?? i want to install via xrecovery
.
.
thank you
Hi,
as far as I know installing a theme will not wipe your phone but it is good to wipe your
phone before installing a theme.
If you want to go back to your previous condition-after installing the theme-you must
back up before you install the theme.
if i already have a theme installed . . and i want to change t . . just install the new theme via xrecovery over the old theme and everything will go fine?!
installing a theme via xrecovery doesn't change any system settings or wipe data
create a backup in any case have to be good gotona
Make a backup in xrecovery before you install the theme.
Better safe than sorry
thanx guys
I installed Gingerbread yesterday, and I didn't do any backup at all, only of my contacts. I found out later that it DIDN'T delete anything on my phone, not apps or anything.
Hi guys
Does your phone need to be rooted?
Or can i just use xrecovery to install a theme?

Hi,
I'm really new to all these rooting and apps stuff so i'd appreciate it if you would be tolerant to my noob questions.
I'm using x10i and i'm tempted to change my phone's theme after lookin at the amazing work they have here. My phone's already rooted and after goin thru the threads and learnin about framework-res.apk, i realised that in my /system/framework folder, there is no framework-res.apk in it. Seems like the files are unzipped directly in the framework folder. Due to that i am still hesitatin to change my theme as the guides mentioned to copy and replace the existin framework-res.apk to change the theme. Do i need to do somethin about the framework folder in order to install new themes? My android vers. is 2.3.3. Are there any black themes that works well and stable which i can install using xrecovery?
there are lot of black themes which can be installed .. and did u check properly if framework-res.apk is there or not .. then best option i think is better backup ur system using xrecovery then try installing the theme .. if any problem occurs jus restore it back .. else enjoy ur theme !!
Hope it helped plz thank me if it did!!
