Has anyone purchased this $129.00 Bluetooth Earpiece and how do you like it? I got the Motorola Stereo Bluetooth Headphones about a month ago and I'm quite pleased BUT............this earpiece has longer range, supports voice AND text, and automatically shuts off if not in use (Phone will automatically shut it back on if/when needed)
Let me know, my Christmas Present to myself!
anyone? Need some unbias input before I make this decision.
David, wouldn't you say this is a little too pricey, it depends on how bad you need it. (Don't forget to change your XDA Location, if you want to, lol.)
I haven't heard of anyone trying it...
I bought the elite flip which has the same features 300ft range, wide band, crystal talk, etc. I really like it, especially the 300ft range. I can leave my phone charging and walk around the house and even to the mailbox.

Yes pricey, but the features. Yes its a regular BT earpiece, but you can also talk voice commands, voice text and e-mail including address, listen to text and e-mails in phone, and listen to music. Not to mention, its BT 3.0 and has a 30yd range vs. 2.0 at 10yrds!
I have the Motorola Stereo Headphones, but they are illegal to where in vehicle. Not to mention, rude if you have passenger and are atempting to hold conversation.
Makes sense! Thanks again for the generous donation!!! It would be only fair if I whipped a few more images for you, for what you donated. I will see what I can whip up in my spare time. Thanks again!!!

The only thing your elite flip is missing is the streaming. Currently I'm carrying 2 headsets. Technically with Silver Elite, I could elimate 1. I wont because sometimes I want the Stereo Headphones, but depending on what I'm doing, I will no longer have a need to actually carry 2.
I can stream music since it has A2DP if that is what you mean.

You can not operate a vehicle with headphones on in the state of PA, NJ, or NY. I could check others but I got lazy. I did this because many of us wore iPods when on Motorcycle.
EDIT: and with the exception of me and 2 others, the entire Motorcycle Club were COPS or SWAT in NJ.
Motorola TZ700 Roadster
I opted for the BT speakerphone instead. The Roadster works with Motospeak and also has an FM transmitter which works very well. I enjoy sending and replying to text messages by voice. Motospeak even recognized 'supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' and that's how she spelled it in the text....I'm impressed! :>) I read the reviews and did some research on the Silver and it's the best BT earpiece for Motorola. I opted for the Roadster because I am not a big fan of earpieces but if I was...I would get the Silver.
@cyiam40, thanks, but I'm not looking for another device. (Not like the headphones and BT I have are not one.) I want one BT that does it all and this appears to be it.
I just purchased one at my local Sprint store and love it! It's 3.0 has the long distance that I was looking for, connects to 2 phones, etc. The only thing I dislike is the fact I can't have both my car windows down and talk on it like my LG Tone Bluetooth earphones! Other than that it's a well fitting and bad ass bluetooth out on the market. I really like the high definition audio also. Compared to the Jawbone Era, Plantronics Voyager Plus HD, Blueant T1, and LG Tone.....I think I like the Motorola Elite Silver the best. Comes with a case/charger combo for travel when you're away from an outlet! LOL!

I ask because, right now I have Moto BT Stereo Headphones (too hot to wear in Summer!), SkullCandy wired stereo headphones ($9.99 and sound great) and 2 plantronics BT Ear pieces. If this does what it claims, I have one single device to listen to music, videos and talk on the phone!

What is a good earbud headset that doesn't cost a fortune, meaning less than $25 or so. Wired is what i'm looking for as i'm not big on BT headsets. I don't need anything ultra high quality, just something that works well. I'd also like for it to have a inline mic. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've looked at so many my head spins. It's hard to tell what's good or not and you can't always go by price. Figured someone would have a set that they really liked over the others.
I just get the stock ones that came with my captivate, they sound good and are durable, don't hurt your ears.
Amazon has them for about six bucks. Just search for captivate or infuse earbuds they are black with opaque white buds and inline mic.

The OP said he needs them under $25. So for the price, Skullcandies are excellent.
They meet his needs. other than the JVC Marshmallows, they are the best sounding pair for the PRICE RANGE in my opinion.
On another note, I was interested in the S4As. I read a review
on amazon for them that the controls don't work with the Sprint galaxy S II and I was afraid that the same would be true for the AT&T variant. Do you own them? can you deny or comfirm?
I have the S4i's as I came from an iPhone to the galaxy. the mic and controls don't work with the phone (aside from the pause and play button.) wanted to get the 4A's but being that there's now a 5i and that I wanna try wireless I personally am looking for a stereo bluetooth option.

This is the quandry i've run into. There's literally hundreds of choices and some are known to be bad and some aren't. I'm just trying to find a good set for a good price that WORK, haha.
I had my old Cappy earbuds that I liked but alas my oldest son has lost them somewhere. They didn't work with everything on the cappy so i'm fairly sure they won't work on the GSII either.

How well do they fit in your ears? I've tried several Ipod flat style ear buds and none of them seem to fit in my ears very well. They will stay in but nothing like the cushiony inserts of the samsung ones.

I use these all day long at work. The control button works as expected with the players I've used (music app, Pandora, Beyondpod, Audible).
I use my phones for music more than anything. For the past couple years I've used a countless number of earbuds. (Gym, bike, motorcycle, work, bus)
Klipsch S4s are the best bang for the buck by far. I bought mine at Best Buy and opted for the 2 year warranty. Taking the phone in and out of my pocket a lot tends to wear the cord at the connector. Their worth the investment.

Any recommendations for earphones with mic? This is mainly to listen to music and chat on Skype or similar applications.
I just got these for my EVO3D to use on my commutes to and from work because I was getting frustrated with blue tooth earbuds. They work great, awesome tone and base for a set of ear buds. Mic works great and everyone I call says it is way better than the blue tooths I have had in the past (everything from a $20 - 100 set).
They seal up your ears pretty good though, so awesome to block out the sounds around you but also makes you want to talk louder so that takes a little getting used to.

I have and use these:
http://www.amazon.com/Bose-TriPort-...1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1325345884&sr=1-1
Bit pricey (Not compared to other good headphones, though), but the sound quality and mic are awesome for talking or music. That and Bose has a one-year warranty. Comes with the headphones, a leather case, 6 replacement buds, and three 3.5mm-to-2.5mm adapters. Plus they're Bose, and Bose has a pretty great track record with audio. Got mine in July and they still work awesome. 5 months is pretty much a record for my headphones, wire always gives out and the left bud fails, even though I don't listen to music especially loud, so these are pretty durable. The price is justified, but if it's too steep, the ones Indiscriminate posted look good, or get a pair from Walmart or something and that'll run you about 18ish.

I bought these for my htc sensation a week ago and they work perfectly... however when I plug them into my prime, the kilpsch app doesn't seem to work (pushing the button does nothing)... honeycomb compatability issue?
I was thinking of buying these and then found this thread when I went to see if there was any that _actually_ work on the ATP.
So, did anyone _actually_ use these things on their tablet and verify that it works in place of the onboard mic?

Ok, i just plugged them in... and tested the mic with the sound recorder. The mic works fine, becoming default over the built in tablet mics, however, the click control (on the mic) does not work, even with the klipsch app installed.
I also noticed that the headphone plug sits out about 1mm from the jack, perhaps responsible for the not working clicker?
You are asking about the klipsch image s4a... aren't you?
I was referring to the J5M JBuds higher up (sorry I should've been more specific) but hey, if it works, $99 is fine by me as long as it works decently and has some durability.
My use case is simple: turning my tablets screen off makes the mic go crazy with noise, or at least it does in TeamSpeak 3; sound recorder is too soft for me to tell for sure with my voice but I think it does as well. So I need something that I can use while the screen is off and still be able to have headphones/earbuds to listen with.

If you don't mind wires I use turtle beaches. You need the dock or a usb port to power them though.

V-Moda Vibrato's is what I have. They. Are. Awesome.
http://v-moda.com/in-ear/
I can now verify the J5M's work fully.
How I tested: speaking in teamspeak while listening on my PC. Tapped the glass over the mic for reference. Exited teamspeak, plugged in the earbuds, reconnected, and listened via my PC - then tapped the mic under the glass, then tapped the inline mic on the earbudds wire to prove it worked. Sound recorder would've worked too.
Yippiee!

For sure, tons of knock offs on eBay. I got the S-9's but don't use them as much as I used too. They pair well and can be a decent distance from the phone and still pick up signal. If you have a large melon, they may be a bit tight and uncomfy though.

The difference between the knockoffs and the legit ones is the buttons. My S9 has super sensitive buttons, you can just lightly press it and it will stop, skip tracks etc. The knockoffs you have to physically press the buttons firmly. It worked but felt very uncomfortable mashing a button while something is in your ear. My coworker swooped up the knock offs for like $25 on ebay. Also mine came with a Blue Tooth adapter for an ipod, works excellent.
Is there a specific reason you want in ear headphones?
Id say pick up a set of over the ear bluetooth headsets. I had a set of motorola s805's they were good. also had a set of jaybird sb2's which were sick.

If you are stuck on in ear headsets check out jaybird they have an entire bluetooth product line with great support and service.
But i really think you should try over the ear (Your hearing will thank me later)

I have a pair of the S9 and S10 Motorola headphones. I bought the S10s as an 'upgrade' but that turned out to not be the case, unfortunately. They weren't as loud and the sound just didn't seem as 'full'. Really the only positive thing about them is that they NEVER cut out on me, and had much better range. My S9s are more comfortable, louder, sound better, but they did cut out at certain angles(probably because I mainly used them with my phone in my pocket instead of on an arm band as recommended).
I just got a pair of the JayBird Freedom headphones for Christmas and they are definitely the best way to go and worth the extra money. The sound and fit is probably as good as you can possibly get with bluetooth in-ear headphones, and of course they have the sweat-proof warranty. I would recommend getting the JayBird's over EVERYTHING else, especially if you're using them for running and working out, as I do. You won't regret it!

It's not the same cord but it is a usb to some small connection. You can plug it into any 5 volt source like pc or HTC's plug.
I have those headphones use it for soccer practice, gym, and work. I have had no problem with them at all the only thing not a major issue for me I had to take off the red pads on the inside since my sweat was un-gluing them. I jump and run with them with no problem in fact its the opposite from slipping out I have to take them off for a second because it pushes in me ears at times.
I got a pair of S9HD a year ago and they shorted out, I called Motorola and RMA'd them, a week later I had brand new S10HD in my hands. Like the S9HD these things are not the most comfortable things in the world and do not mesh well with sunglasses unless you flip them over and wear them R in left ear L in right. I have no problems with pairing and the battery life seems really good, better than the S9HD for sure.
Would I recommend to buy? no, there are other products on the market that work and fit just as well or better for much cheaper.
Hello everyone, Need some advice on picking up a pair of headphones that I can use to listen to music and also make calls. Apart from the Klipsch made specifically for Android, is there anything else out on the market? I really wanted the bose but read on a few sites that they dont full function correctly. $7.99 apple earphones with mic on ebay from dailysteals
I just tried my Zagg headphones and the paus/play/forward/back button works. I would recommend these headphones if you can find them for cheap, especially since they replace them if they stop working. I don't think they are worth full price.
Tried my Bose AE2 and the play/pause/forward/back button works but not the volume controls.

how do you like those? they look really gimmicky to me.
I am using the one that came with the Samsung Focus (windows phone ). It works great. The mic, volume control, pick up and end call function works too. I actually had a $40 skull candy earbud... but the volume control didn't work. I use it with double twist and when i press the on and off button it plays music using double twist. press twice quickly and it goes to the next track. press 3 times and goes reverse. i <3 OEM
Im thinking of buying power beats 2 for my nexus 6. Guys, hows your experience with your current bluetooth earpiece or headset with the phone? I hope the "monochrome only feature" doesnt affect the quality of sound we get from our BT devices.
Depends on what you want.
I am in love with LG Tones!!! I wear them every day for the gym and whenever else I need to be hands free. I've owned two, one for over a year. I recommend them to everyone.
I avoid anythin Beats, they're the most overpriced pieces of crap...the sound quality on them is terrible...I'd recommend Jaybirds Blue Buds X...if ur looking at gettin a pair of Beats..
Skip the beats, they are shiny junk with poor sound and terrible price.
Depending on the application I can personally recommend this:
1. For sound quality: Elecom Bluetooth receiver dual amplifier class1, this one has built in amplifier and AptX+AAC support, works great, but ships from Japan http://amzn.com/B00JUGSUQG
I currently use this one with either in-ear phones at work and Superlux Over-the-ear at home, works wonders!
2. Simple and kind of cheap - LG Tones, I owned only original one, so have no idea how good new ones
3. BlueAnt Pump is amazing waterproof headset, tested them at our kitesurfing community, one guy kiting with it in the ocean and it going strong! Sound quality is amazing for a waterproof one http://amzn.com/B00ISRUFXY
another vote for the Jaybirds... my JF3's have been going strong for almost 3 years (although i noticed the the charge isn't lasting quite as long as it used to, three 90 minute workout sessions now vs 5 when new). when it comes time to replace these, it will be with the new Jaybirds.

How is sound quality? Bass? Highs?
Also how does "OK Google" work with them? Is it always listening or do you have to press button on the Bluetooth to wake it?
Thanks

I think the sound quality is excellent! You have to make sure you have a good suction on your ear though but it blows me away. I mean probably no "Dr. Dre" headphones but honestly I tried those and didn't like them. For $50 Tones are worth every penny IMO
I never use OK Google so I can't really advise on that. As I mentioned it probably depends on what you need the headset for. If you need it for business calls or to always listen, probably not the best. I use it for music mainly for the gym and work, and a call here and there if I have them on and I get a call.

Awesome thanks... Im only gonna use them for music as well and a call here or there... Is there a dedicated button that activates voice dialing?
Now I just gotta find out if/how well OK Google works with them.

I have the same headphones and there is a dedicated “Activate Voice Dialing" button in them. Its the first bitton on the left side at least it is on the LG HBS750s. It is a somewhat textured button. The play/pause button is on the first button on the right side.

It doesn't perform the “OK Google" function but I do believe there is an option for “OK Google" to work over Bluetooth in the voice settings in the Google Search app.

Blue buds all day
Just got the Plantronics BackBeat FIT Wireless Headphones. I had Jaybird freedom headphones before they recently got broken(kids I think). So far I really like them. Fit over the ear and they sound great...better than the jaybird. Batter lasts about twice as long too.
Yurbuds all the way
I use the Yurbuds Liberty Wireless over the ear. Great for workouts. Microphone and everything. Water resistant.
