Thanks
Follow the debrand guide by Casey in the sticky. Had same firmware and it worked for me.
Your HTC7 Mozart is same as mine? And it works, wich branded rom you choose?
I used the roms within the first post, and it debranded my Mozart, although there was a slew of updates via Zune after.
Use the two linked roms, and your Mozart will be debranded and only HTC will be seen.
Edit: Yes, my Mozart had the same version firmware as yours. Follow the debrand instructions and you will get the update for tethering.
Thanks bazza155 ,ill gonna trie then i out here the feedback
Okay, need anymore help, don't hesitate to ask. When doing the Mango update it takes a long time. The progress bar on the Mozart looks like it has stopped. I assure you it hasn't, just be patient.
okay...i´m portuguese and im patient
The Mozart will be in US English, wouldn't you prefer Portuguese?

It is the European rom you're using to debrand, but as far as I can tell, you can't select Portuguese with the display language. Only ones available are: Deutsch, English, Espanol, Francais, or Italiano.
All other settings have Portuguese available.
EDIT: Looking for a ROM that will have your native language.
I did not understand, the ROM is ready or not. If you are ready where I can find it?

Sorry, there is no Portuguese displaying ROM (As far as I can tell). You might be able to find one... Or if you're happy to use English but have everything else in Portuguese (Keyboard and locale), then you can just carry on using them roms within the debrand thread.
i put this same question in the "General " but i ask you cause i thinh i know, here she goes:
"i've a new HTC 7 Mozart with windows phone 7.5, OS version: 7.10.7740.16,Radio Software version:5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U,Rádio Hardware Version:A.102.0.D4,Bootloader version:5.11.2250.1(133487) and firmware version: 2250.21.51101.401,buy on uk(Ornage)but its unlcok. How Can i Custom Rom
Help me please,i dont want brick my new phone, show me some tutorial
i´m portuguese,is there a nice rom whith PT language? "
I'll look for a custom ROM that may have Portuguese. But not sure if I can find a Portuguese guide. You will need to use the Orange UK 1.22.061.10 from the original debrand thread, before any ROM anyway.
And how i do that,is there any tutorial?

Sorry, I didn't read everything you typed. It appears you have done the debrand already, but have the latest bootloader.
I was under the impression you were still not sure on what to do, and were waiting for a Portuguese ROM.
As far as I know, there isn't a way to put a custom ROM onto that bootloader version just yet. It will be coming I'm sure, but not sure it is out yet.
You could always go into settings and under location select Portuguese for as much as you can.
You will have all the functions of that phone now, albeit not in your prefered language. I was still looking for a ROM for you.
No my friend,i dindo do anything, because i never had mobile with windows, only android,i dont know how to debrand and thats the first thing, then i want to know how to install a custom rom,are understand now?

Your Orange UK phone has bootloader 5.11.2250.1(133487)? I believe I read it was 4.6..... or so earlier?
You can try this in this post for your bootloader: How to downgrade SPL
Once you've done that, you should be able to install the needed HSPL/RSPL for the custom ROMS.
ok,i´m gonna do that but tell me what is the "HSPL/RSPL"
(i´m sorry,i´m noob here)

HSPL/RSPL Thread
It is required for custom ROMs
Remember you must not have SPL 4.XX or above.

Dear TyTN/Hermes owners
I've just uploaded the PTG (Portuguese) ROM that came with my device.
The instructions I followed can be found in the Wiki: How to dump ROM.
Check the Wiki page for available Dumped ROM's and more information about the ROM.
You can, in alternative, download it here.

Same thing here, I have a htc tytn with the portuguese rom (bought to TMN)! And I have some problems in my wireless connection when I connect to a wireless network that requires a certificate! ...... without the portuguese rom we are stuck.. because If anything goes wrong in the upgrade process we don't have any manner to downgrade to the original rom.. and by the way we loose the guarantee..
I'm new to the forums so please forgive 'newbie' type questions. I have a friend in Hong Kong this week looking for a Hermes based device for me to use in the States. He found the Dopod 838 Pro at a decent price. Only problem, they are out of the English versions. I don't mind not having the manual however he was told that when powered on the device will be in Chinese.
So, is there more to switching this to English then just changing software configuration? Will this need a new ROM image installed? What other downsides are there to buying a chinese based phone and converting it to english? keys? handwriting recognition? Am I better off holding off and looking for the english version?
If someone knows of a place to pick up the English version of the Dopod 838 Pro, please email me.
Thanks
David
You can flash an english (WWE) version and all the software will be in english. Your hardware keyboard will have chinese signs, but it's a standard QWERTY keyboard that can be used also in english without problems. The English manual is on the FTP in pdf format, and handwriting recognition is something handled by the rom (software) so after flahing an english ROM into it you will have a complete english device. If the price is ok, I'd go for it without hesitating. I also recommend you to spend some time reading the wiki:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Hermes
Thanks for the quick response. I'll look for the FTP (new to forums so haven't figured out where to find everything yet). Only concern I have about this, is when turning on the device it will be in Chinese. How do I navigate through the first time setup menus and then get to wherever i need to be to accept the rom upgrade?
Do each of the ROMs posted come with the installation tools as well?
Thanks again
David

The wiki has almost everything you need to know, and best of all is that you can EDIT the pages and add the information you believe is missing, it's a collaborative tool, so I encourage you (and everyone reading this) to edit the wiki pages and fill them with info, so everyone can benefit.
Start by reading the section "Hermes for beginners" which will help you getting started with your new device:

You don't even need to turn it on to perform the rom upgrade, just put the device in BOOTLOADER mode (instructions also in the wiki):
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Resets
Connect the device to your computer using USB cable, and double click on the EXE file to perform ROM upgrade, its a typical windows installer were you just have to click "NEXT, NEXT, NEXT..." several times.
All available ROM upgrades are also in the wiki:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_Upgrades
You need to download an WWE (World Wide English) version.

Yes, it's a very easy proces which will take about 20minutes.
As I said before, the wiki is your friend, After you've read the "Hermes for Beginners", you can go to the "Upgrading FAQs":
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_UpgradeFAQ
And if you have any problems upgrading, read the "Common upgrading problems" page:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_UpgradeProblems
Good luck!
Thanks for the quick and detailed response! It sounds like I'll need to see some prompts on the device ino order to get it to bootloader. As it is in chinese and I don't know chinese at all I'm not sure I'll know how to navigate through it.
I also understand some of the physical keyboard buttons are different than the english version.
My friend in Hong Kong is waiting for the 'thumbs up' to buy the non-english version. I'm still a bit hesitant ... need some convincing today so I can tell him what to do before leaving Hong Kong tomorrow. Unless, someone knows where he can find an english one??!!
Thanks
David

Bootloader is in english in all the devices, the operating system (WM5) language it's just software, it's on the ROM. But when you enter in the bootloader the OS has still not started, so it will be in english even if you buy a chinese, spanish, german or whatever device.
What about the keyboard on the Chinese version of the Dopod Pro?

Ask your friend to buy O2 Trion instead in HK... they will flash it for you and the price is much lower than dopod838pro.
Since you live in US... warranty dont matter..right ?
A new test ROM for the HTC Oxygen is available on XDA-Developers!
Rom Version: 1.5.401.2 (WWE)
Radio Version: 4.1.13.28_02.67.90
Bootloader: 1.05.0000
CID: HTC__Z12
You can find the ROM on XDA-Developers FTP:
RUU_Oxygen_1.5.401.2_R3_4.1.13.28_02.67.90_HTC_EUR_Test.exe
For the curious out there, the ROM is shipped in NBH format so you can extract it if you want to look at the ROM components.
I don't own an Oxygen and I can't test it so I don't know what's on this ROM, if you try it please post details about it.
Enjoy!
Can anyone help i have just got a HTC S310 (Orange SPV C100) from orange france and am desperately seeking an english language rom. found one rombut get the incorrect vendor error. Seems like a great phone but i cant read french.
Your phone is CID locked. AFAIK there is no free method to CID unlock it.
...unless you will downgrade your phone's bootloader with bootloader only upgrade for HTC Oxygen that is available from local ftp first.
that bootloader should let you flash any rom of your choice.

What languages set is in that ROM?
Hello,
I would like to ask if this is a ROM with Russian/Polish version of WM5?
Thanks in advance for your answer (waiting for Polish version;-) )
Best greetings
Abram
Russian/Polish T9
I supposed the dictionary does support russian/polish T9 since this is more like an European ROM to me. Russian and Polish language are found inside. No chinese/east asian language though.
Additional question for you Sir
Thats a great news for me that you have found that Polish language in that new ROM file.
But - please - make me sure - you mean there is a Polish language to choose not in 'Regiona setings' (date, currency etc) BUT in system - so I will see Polish words in menu, in alerts etc?
It wold be a Salvation for me, really;-)
Best greetings,
Here are the languages available on the shipping ROM.
--
UK English
Magyar
Francais
suomi
US English
Dansk
Nederlands
Norsk
Svenska
Slovencina
--
So... thats a Zonk...
As I can see there is no Polish language in that ROM.
Upss...
Anyway thanks for your help!

Can I just flash my new htc touch2, which ROM is on German language, with Europe ROM from htcpedia.com, for switching to english language . Is it enough?
DONT TRY THAT, you can brick your phone. You must wait for HSPL first.
