Cheers mate, I tried resizing some last night but they didn't work right!

These lockscreens are awesome, much more fun than widgetlocker. The only problem is they all need resizing to fit our screens.
I've been trying but without a script and my lack of knowledge its hard work. If you rename the. mtz to .zip then extract it and find lockscreen, rename that to lockscreen.zip and extract that you can edit manifest.xml and resize everything to fit our screens, Ive been dividing all the sizes by 50% to make everything fit on the screen and then trial n error to move everything to the right place. Does anybody know an easier way??

Arrrggghhh so close, this is frustrating !
This one is VA 3way minimal lockscreen, it has a white animated line that should move down between the 2 slider icons when there in the right place and when pressed a phone and sms icon appears at either side which you drag the centre icon to, took me an hour and half to get that close.
Edit: a default one I started last night but forgot to resize the images.

Aaaaaaargh lol it reminds me of the frustrations I got with chronotopia. Just a little bug I found with unlocking..... aswell as the volume and home button method I found holding the back button kills the app and restores original lockscreen too. It's a cm7. Back button kill option I know but for me a lockscreen should only have 1 method to unlock and this app has 3 and for this reason " I'm out " lol
" once its gone,its GONE."
True and I give up too, its too much work for me. this apps still in early stages so fingers crossed it'll get better features and hopefully someone else who is better than me will port all the lockscreens.

I think it's great app other than the fact that you have to resize all of the themes lol. Does it matter if there is 3 ways to unlock? Just use one And you can turn the back button kills app thing off right?
Anyway next phone I'm getting needs to have MIUI
Didn't for one second say it wasn't a good app!!
Yes it matters to me that there are 3 ways to unlock it.
No I can't turn back button kill off due to the fact I use this function.

Just said i thought it was a good app!! I'm sorry if you thought I was accusing you of thinking the app isn't good although you never said that!!
And yes I also use the back button kills app function so I can relate to that.
To be honest, the only two that caught my eye were the "Zipper" and "Fit the Puzzle" lockscreens.
Especially the puzzle. Both a security screen AND lockscreen, all in one!

ive tried to bring over the Dark Cherry theme from jaithemes, ive got most of it with a few other changes, for the most part all came from his site here ive always been a fan of his themes.and have also included some of his live wallpapers, its not as done as i hoped, but i know you guys are tired of waiting so im releasing it tonight. remember this isnt done yet. all of the menu icons within most of the apps show. as i/we fix and work things out there will be updates.
TO REMOVE THE LOCK SCREEN YOU CAN GO INTO ROOT EXPLORER
SYSTEM/APP AND MOUNT AS R/W AND RENAME HTCLOCKSCREEN.APK, WHAT I DID WAS JUST REMOVE THE .APK AT THE END SO IF I WANTED IT BACK ALL I HAVE TO DO IS GO BACK IN AND RENAME IT WITH .APK BACK ON THE END. THEN END AND REBOOT.
IF YOU FLASH THE GORILLA BUTTON YOU WILL LOSE THE THEMED ICON LAUNCHKEY IS STILL INCLUDED SO YOU CAN STILL REMAP IT
and the clock is from here
here is the thunderbolt boot animation with sound. (flashable)

Lol, I've been waiting all day for this to come up and so far, while it dies have a little more editing to do (ie, changing the rest of the to red), it looks amazing so far I am thoroughly pleased.
One suggestion for those using setcpu on this theme: set it to the Droid theme, which will match the Rom theme perfectly.

love this theme!!! Question though, in the pics the bottom right button on the home screen looks like a menu button. On my phone it's a G. I have programed it for what I want but how can I get rid of the g and have the squares?

aosp or sense lockscreen is fine, just as long as its not blue.
also, which version of the thunderbolt are you planning to use, the original or the modded version found in the themes area? I tested both, and while I liked the modded one's animations better, it kept looping on me (not permanently, just looped the animation several times till it booted). I think it was something wrong with the framerate of the animation being off or something. anyway, just something I thought I might alert you to just in case.

So I was motivated by a tweet from Anderweb (ADW developer). I watched this video and instantly set my phone up this way.
Anyone willing to make some cool wallpapers specific to our phones (ie, the name of ROMs or "Vibrant").
I posted a more generic thread here, but was hoping to focus more on ones for our phones here. In that thread though, I did link to everyone/give proper credit and give download links for the wallpaper and a transparent icon!

Mustangboy88 posted some new wallpapers (same layout). I really hope some new wallpapers are added soon...
Any of the vibrant themers willing to take a run at this? Specifically for a trigger background, haha.
Thanks for sharing this it looks neat. Was gonna take a stab at a W7 type LP.setup, but this looks very cool.
Don't blame me, blame my keyboard's autocorrection algorithm.
There are some new wallpapers being added in the other thread... I think I am going to take a stab at a Trigger one a little later.
Looks like I just found my next project. Been thinking about jumping into theming, but don't have the patience/time. This will be perfect.
There are some great examples of this buried on the main "post you homescreen" thread.

I have been using this concept on my phone for awhile, but I've never been a big fan of either LP or ADW (personally, I prefer Zeam). For my setup, I use Desktop VisualizeR for the transparent icons. If you are still having problems with FCs, give it a shot.

I've no talent with making wp, so I use various wp that I found on here. I tend to use minimalistic theming so I use the transparent Icons as a method of keeping my home screen clean while keeping it functional. What was shown in OP is far more sophisticated than anything I came up with on my own.

yesterday was my first day, so I certainly am no expert... but this is what I was doing to place icons and setting a shadow.....
open a new project, 800x960 I think?
ALT + Backspace makes it all Black
new layer, File > Place, choose icon, resize it, move it to where I want it and place it.
right click on the icon layer, duplicate, CTRL+T, right click, flip vertical.
Move it below the icon so it looks like a shadow and place it.
grab the eraser, change opacity to 30-40% and run over the bottom icon so it looks faded.
Once you do that, it looks like a shadow.... that is how I was doing it. I would love to learn how to just make a black shadow beneath the icon, because my next one is going to be glass shelves on a textured black background... with smaller/cleaner icons.
If I can get it back up and running, I've got some professional level 3D title/logo modeling and animation software (I used to work for the company), which would allow me to composite 3D icons drop them over whatever background I wanted. I'd be happy to share. I'll see what I can do about getting the software installed on my new computer this weekend.
All I'd need is .ai files of the icons with proper vector paths. I no longer have Illustrator.

I haven't seen anyone post about this, but I really want to know about the lockscreen. The thing is I love using the pattern lock, but what I dislike is that every UI I've seen, excluding sense, have removed their standard slide-unlock screen when enabling the pattern-lock. What I love about sense is that, it didn't remove the slide-unlock...
If anyone could shed some light on this, I'd be really grateful.
Thanks!

Ouch, fail. So you don't have a lockscreen and pattern lock? Lockscreen for quick acces, pattern lock after prolonged period of not using the phone...
Major major fail.
Man,if you are into lockscreen.
Nothing comes close to widgetlocker{Sense 3.0 is the only other thing which comes to my mind},so many different themes to choose.
Windows/MIUI/iPhone/SE Arc & bunch of other themes to choose.
Widgetlocker is the best way to customise your phone lockscreen
I'll add another voice supporting WidgetLocker. Without wanting to state the obvious having widgets on your lock screen is fantastic (calendar, etc) and it keeps the slide and then pattern, as you want...
+1 for Widgetlocker, wouldn't be without it.
...it also lets you activate the screen with the home button, which will be ideal for those who can't get on with Samsung's placement of the power button.

It's so easy to replace functions with third-party programs on Android, I really have to restrain myself not to litter my phone with every nice app I find.

Purchase widgetlocker from the market, after that you can get various lockscreen themes{include only the sliders} from xda android section itself.
Only the slider is there in the theme, rest all which you have seen in my lockscreen are the widgets
Yeah the widgets were the things that made it look good, do you just move them to the screen or what?
Thanks for your help

These are the only settings available for the security lock.

Hey guys I forgot who had requested a widget to show/hide the system bar In Honey Comb, but here it is! I had a couple people test it before I released it to the market. This is to be used by people who use the Hardware Buttons in HoneyComb. Enjoy
March 18, 2012
Version 3.0 has been released! It includes a smaller widget (1×1) that was requested by users as well as the ability to restore the status bar when the screen turns off. The latter feature allows the widget to be used by more devices that do not have hardware keys.
Along with version 3.0 I have also released a donate version. This version is exactly the same as the free version but costs one dollar for those who feel generous!
You can download it on the android market place by clicking Here for free and Here for donate
Feb 13, 2012
Version 2.0 brings along a new layout as well as more reliable code!

And just incase someone trys this without hardware buttons and opens an app while the bar is hidden the command you can run to get your bar back is:
Code:
am startservice -n com.android.systemui/.SystemUIService
If you feel like donating all money will be put towards my school loans

Edit: can the icon be themed?
This is a lot better than honeybar which gets in the way. Thanks!
Unfortunately, htc scribe apps still don't like the removed bar. Good for watching video and reading pdfs though.
EDIT: I have a small request. Can you please make the buttons or hitboxes a little bigger? Sometimes it takes a frustratingly large amount of touches to register a show or hide.
Thank you. Great app.

Actually, in that line, I would simply suggest a one-cell toggle (on or off). It was a somewhat curious decision to make two buttons instead of an on/off toggle.

I like the fact that the widget is a toggle, and maybe this is a silly question, but why do you make it take two icon widths (2x1) rather than just a normal 1x1 icon?

Pretty self explanatory. Rename the apk. Put the apk in /system/framework change permissions and reboot.
Now just to disable the capacitive buttons.
My DPI is 240 btw. On Dagr8 alpha2.
Feel free to mirror since dropbox has limits.
NavBarDualSettings
NavBar update.zip
SystemUI Blue buttons for manual edits
NavBar for dagr8's Hybrid RC2
SystemUI for Hybrid with menu always shown
This is experimental and has not been tested by me because I am running Hybrid with the tablet ui and not NavBar. Recommend nandroid before trying.
Stock framework-res.apk update.zip Alpha2
As always, feel free to buy me a beer.
I dont get this? Is it tablet mode or what?
Confirmed working. Thanks for the upload.
I'll let you know if I find anything crazy.

Dialer gets cut off. It is fine in landscape.
Sorry for the double post it wouldn't let me edit and add a pic on the app

Hmm. I don't use the dialer often so I didn't see that.
Screenshot isn't showing up.

No limits on this server. MOD Works.
Can somebody in simple language explain what this mod does?

Makes it into a tablet UI. sort of. Two columns instead of taking you to a whole new screen.

Change permissions to what?
Any way to get the soft keys to show up in tablet mode? Like when you change dpi to 213. There are no soft keys or notification area at the bottom.
Op. Just try to call someone you'll see the dialer. The problem is the buttons they shrink the native resolution that will fiddle with other misc apps as well..
Also unless running custom dpi this is not very practical..
You can mod phone to never turn on lights this will make you believe they are gone..
home button and the back button should pretty much be the only useful ones I dunno why google went with 3 or 4 in the first place.iguess it's just by design but even the back button is arguable.

Does this only give you the 3 buttons at the bottom or does it give you the time popup also with settings and toggles?
The navigation bar uses contextual buttons, so they'll change depending on the situation. the menu button only appears when there is a menu option. It also places the menu button in the unfortunate location if the dead zone in the very bottom right corner of the screen where a lot of people can't get the s--pen to work.
None of the Samsung Touchwiz apps work properly with the navigation bar. They don't adjust for the real estate the navigation bar uses. Also many of them don't use a contextual menu button properly so there is no way too get into menu settings in done apps. Others, like contacts, place them in bad places so they are fight to press because they are under another active button.
The solution is to replace the affected apps with modded versions, but I've had little luck with that. The ICS MMS app in the market works well though.
Im am truly in love now..... its a little shaky in vertical mode.... everything is bunched close together ... i wind up using go launcher cause touchwiz couldnt handle this change...using gosms for texting.. the phone and camera is affected .. no way around that...smh.... but in horizontal .... its works lovely.... is there a way for it to have dual sides only in horizontal .... and regular in vertical mode???anways... love the progress... now i defiantly have that icecream feel to it... lol.. thanks

you can download Camera ICS+ from the play store, works fine ($0.99), just the stock camera that's causing problems.

I knew there'd be issues but I had seen several people ask for it and it's quite a simple mod so I threw it together. I have my DPI set to 240. I also have my phone set to no lights on the capacitive buttons.
