It seems to depend on the user/hardware. I haven't seen the lag or synch issues on my TP running xron cm7.
How's your wifi speed?
I think netflix just updated the app as well.

im having the same problem. so i went back to cm 7

Same issues here. Running Xron VB2. Tried my wifi connection as well as 4g off my phone and quality was not so great. I also have the newest netflix app.

Check out the XRON thread in the developer's forum. He's up to B2.2 now. I just rechecked my netflix and it ran flawlessly.

Netflix app on rooted 1.2

I am on rooted stock 1.2, netflix app does not properly login or when it does, it plays at like 3x speed, so what can I do to fix this?
You need to update your build.prop file. There are a few other threads on this as I was having the same issue. Sounds like Chipmunks movies...
Here are a few...

Hope this helps.
I used the following and it worked...
CM7 nightlys + Android 2.2 ROMs(Stock, Froyo, ect...)
ro.product.model=HTC Vision
ro.product.manufacturer=HTC
Also, I'm not 100% familiar with stock 1.2 and Netflix. I am running CM7 nightlies with Dalingrin's OC.
I finally kinda got netflix to work on my mn'd 1.2, except the lack of video is kind of a bummer. I did the full build prop fix, which got me further than some of the other build fixes. Any thoughts?

I just got mine working, amazingly enough. I had the chipmunk sound issue with no video. Then I updated my build.prop to HTC Vision and it fixed the sound problems, but still had no video.
I found this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1105681
I left my build.prop as model: HTC Vision and manufacturer: HTC and installed the apk on the first page of the thread, mediaclient-1. It is working great now!
I guess everyone has difference configuration on their Nook Colors. I have rooted stock 1.2. From what I've read it seems to work easier for CM7 users.
My rooted Nook seems to loose the video depending on what day of the week it is. I can get it back by going into Manage Applications and hitting Clear data and/or Clear cache. However, I've yet to loose the video running under CM7 from the SD card.
Running Phiremod 6.2 the market version of Netflix plays flawless, audio & video.A little grainy for first few seconds then picture is great.

I'm also on a rooted NC 1.2 and can't get it to work. I get video but it plays chipmunks. I tried the build.prop change to HTC and HTC vision but no luck. I also tried the media client in the other post but it still doesn't work. *sad*

CM7 Netflix and Flash

Running latest CM7 and have tried about all the netflix apk out there.
None worked so I gave up.
Closest I came was audio working, black screen (no video)
Today I was browsing the internet and the same problem occured when trying to play an embeded youtube video. (audio but no video)
So now Im assuming its a problem with flash?
If anyone could help me out I'd greatly appreciate it!
Thanks

Netflix doesn't use flash on android, they stream stuff natively using stagefright and the OMX media framework. Though those 2 problems could be related, it's not due to flash. It's probably a problem with the system media libraries, but plenty have gotten media to work just fine on cm7.
So how do I go about making it work?
No idea, I would read through the CM7 development thread for related issues to yours. I don't use CM7 right now since it's too unstable so I can't debug and tell you directly. I just know what it isn't from my own messing with netflix and debugging it from trying to port the needed libraries to froyo. Some else might be able to chime in and give you a solution
Are you running the latest version of CM7?
yes running latest version
I got CM7 and NetFlix works perfect for me.......
CM7 06152011
Kernel - 2.6.35.13 Nerozehl Dream 2.0.3 Beta_AOSP+
Baseband 1.16.00.0223r
Netflix - Ver 1.2.1 build 843839-1.2.0-30
Hope that helps!

[Q] Anyone having problems with netflix.apk?

Hi everyone, I am running kahlpowers miui v4 (yes I know it is an old rom and am about to upgrade) but I am having problems with the netflix.apk from the market. When I play a video, it doesnt play smoothly at all. The video buffers fine but the video looks REALLY laggy and the audio is out of sync. My connection is fine because I am connected to wifi. Is anyone else getting this issue too? and if so, what rom are you using?
THANKS...
[Netflix app version 1.3.0 build 246]
I have switched in the last day to CM6 and I am still getting the same issues in that rom with netflix.

Youtube app playback stuttered / jerky

i'm not having this problem with youtube.. but i am with netflix someone suggested trying an older version that plays better with HC and it fixed it.. idk if it's the same thing with your youtube app but mayb check to see if it updated recently and try uninstalling the update to see if it fixes it... just a thought

after few days of jerkiness, today Youtube seems to be ok. Its weird though. My iPad2 and Flyer connect to the same wireless router but iPad play smoothly while Flyer very jerky. This happened yesterday. But today, everything seems to be working fine. I didn't see the youtube app being updated today.
Very weird...
I have had some problems with YouTube app as well. Tried WiFi & 3G. Plus I get a lot of force close errors.

Youtube Really Slow?

Is anyone having loading issues with the Youtube app loading really slow on wi-fi?
The advertisements are loading just fine, but the actual video is really slow. I tried the same video on my phone using wi-fi and it loaded very quickly. I recently flashed NX Fire (and rooted) my Nook Tablet. The Youtube app worked fine until after I converted to NX Fire.
Is this a known CM9 issue and should I try one of the newer CM10 roms?

Depends on you rom and what version, most likely it's because the version you used didn't have the Ducatti (read hardware accelerated video's so anything above Standard Definition is going to have problems) features working yet as that was a recent change thanks to the work from our intrepid and tireless developers.
Try the CM10 roms and see how they work, they're all a little bit buggy yet of course as they're all built on a slightly unstable kernel that is still in major development, but it might be worth a shot for you.
