Hey guys I have overcome rom on my galaxy tab 10.1 along with the overcome recovery 5.1.2.6. I was curious is it okay to flash none overcome roms with this recovery or do I need to put a generic cmw recovery on it? Thinking about flashing and trying out galaxytask on it for a bit.
Okay.. I tried to install galaxytask again and as soon as I get it started up and let it sit a while it starts locking up. So I used odin and flashed the recovery that comes with the root.zip and wiped completely then installed galaxytask again and it started to lock up again. It will freeze and the screen stays on and becomes unresponsive and the only thing I can do is a hard reset. I am installed my backup of overcome rom now hoping that works. I tried galaxytask 6.6 and 7 also in the past and they also locked up on me. Does anyone have any idea what could be locking it up every single time I try another rom?

Hi all.
Hope everyone is having a good day!
Lets start: in simple words, it appears I've got two CWM installed. Know it sounds crazy but this is how it looks.
I run Villain 2.4.2 with nynmphetamine 2.1.3 kernel and "some" CWMs
Previously I had also Villain but on CFRoot kernel that preloads a custom CWM
What I've done:
I tried to install CM7 "easy" way so installed ROM manager and when it asked me if I wanted to flash CWM with the newest one I pressed "yes" and stupidly overwrote it. Then downloaded CM7 and when ROM manager attempted to boot into CWM android logo with an expression mark appeared and the phone hung. I rebooted into recovery and it showed me I run CWM 4.0.0.2 (i think that's the custom from CFroot) but the ROM manager says I've got 4.0.1.5.
When I tried to install CM7 via 4.0.0.2 the installation itself went fine but the phone stucked on Samsung logo during post-instalation booting.
Could you give me an advice on how to sort this out? I mean to get properly set up kernel and CWM after some serious messing up
I'd be grateful for any help.
Cheers.

I dont know if its possible to have 2 CWMs (maybe app version is different), but this happens with CM7. You should wipe dalvik, factory reset, flash cm7 and boot. Phone will get stuck, shut down long pressing power, reboot in cwm and reflash (no wipe needed). CM7 should boot now.
Hey XDAers I have a big problem i cant find a fix for i updated from 2.3.3 on my galaxy s2 to 4.1.2 jb with no probs everything great then rooted my device all fine and everything perfect then i was looking at nightly cm10 builds and flash it on my device now i have lost my root recovery and i am stuck on my logo screen now i can get my phone into download mode BUT no matter what rom stock or custom i flash i still end up stuck in same place is there a fix for this if so i would really love the help as i have been looking everywhere but found most people with my problem flash again ant its fixed in my case its always freezing on logo page help anyone please...
thanks for your time yours thankfully BaileyDroid
You say you lost your root recovery (CWM), but do you have the stock recovery? If so, do a factory reset in the recovery and wipe cache.
Hi All,
I've been having issues trying to install the CyanAOSP rom on my vibrant. It originally said the partition isn't compatible, but to click update again to install. I assumed it would re-partition for me. Anyway, i've booted to recovery, wiped everything, installed the zip and it just almost instantly goes to the samsung vibrant boot screen.
I've had to Odin back to stock twice now. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Hello!
I have a Samsung XCover 2 (GT-S7710) and I've tried to flash a CM-Rom for quite a while, but without success. At some point my phone stopped to boot a single rom I installed. It automatically starts into CWM Recovery, even with my backup (made with cwm). I thought cwm could be the bad guy and I flashed the Stock Rom with Odin, but same problem here. In Odin everything is fine but again it starts in recovery automatically.
I've read that the bootloader could be the problem and you need to flash it with Odin, but I don't know which one to take, since all treads were about other phones.
Does anyone know which bootloader I have to take or if there is another solution?
Greetings!
Hello. I have a Galaxy Mini 2 (GT-5600d) more specific, and I installed a custom OS which the phone couldn't support well, so I wanted to turn back to my stock ROM. I found the ROM and installed it using ODIN 3.09 and the only problem I have is that I have to do a data wipe from the recovery menu. Problem is, the recovery menu is jammed for some time now. I didn't need it much before and never taught it could screw up. Seems that now I am stuck with the phone in a continuous boot loop. Any suggestions?
