Hi, as we all know nobodyAtall has recently published the new nAa-07 kernel. I am currently using the previous kernel nAa-06 and want to upgraded to nAa-07, do i still need to unlock the bootloader? I have done this before to get the naA-06 kernel.
Thanks
You don't have to unlock the bootloader again.
You just need to flash the kernel again and its done
naA kerne07
Hi i've noticed that the latest naA kernel is on a zip file and not on .ftf extension how do I flash
The kernel to my X8? Do i just change the extension to .ftf? Should it work?

I think a the kernel is in a zip, because you need to extract it to find a .ftf file, and dont try flashing on X8, I tried on x10 mini pro and it gave me as gift a dead touchsreen

Hey everyone,
Do anyone have the stock kernel in a zip format which i can use to flash? Many thanks in advance
To return back to stock kernel you just need the right chargemon file..it dipends on which recovery are you using..pay attention cause if you flash the wrong chargemon you will break your recovery and you need to reflash original firmware with flashtool..anyway you can find chargemon file for stock kernel in doomlord custok kernel thread..take a look..i can't give you a direct link cause i'm in mobile..but you can easily find it yourself! if you find it,don't forget that this is for freexperia recovery only..so don't flash if you are on xrecovery! Hope this help

Installing FreeXperia recovery from Flashtool will do the trick
Hello,
I'm a little bit stuck right now.
My phone is rooted, I installed Wolf V6 stock version, and now I managed to unlock my bootloader.
I haven't installed doomkernel yet.
Some questions:
-If I flash doomkernel v5-fs , should I choose loader.sin or kernel.sin @ flashtool?
-Do I first need to install Wolf V6 Custom before I flash doomkernel or otherwise?
-Is doomkernel consuming more battery (v5-fs not overclocked)
-Can I just leave it this way? (V6s, unlocked bootloader, nothing else?) and is this the best choice concerning battery life?
Thanks in advance!

Answers.
- Both
- No but you need to make changes to the chargmon file to use doomkernel
- Any overclocking will consume more battery power, just use it sparingly
- Yes - You can test it out by actually just flashing V6c over your current ROM as it uses DoomKernel
About question number 2,
Doomlord mentions this as installation proces:
1.the kernel is now a ftf file so flash using flashtool
2.flash wifi modules using recovery
He doesn't mention anything about a chargemon file ?

You don't need to change anything with your ROM's chargemon files to install his kernel. But any rom that uses a custom kernel comes with modifications to this file. The modifications cause the main kernel (either stock or dommkernel) to crash and then continue to load the kernel that is included with the ROM.
If you want your ROM to run with doomkernel then the modifications have to be removed so that the phone continues to use it rather than the one included with your rom.
I can't tell you exactly what needs to be done because I haven't unlocked my bootloader yet. If you search the doomkernel thread the answer should be there somewhere
So let me get this straight; I'm using V6stock, stock kernel, unlocked bootloader.
I have following options:
-I flash Doomkernel v5-FS with flashtool on my V6Stock Wolf ROM --> No changes are needed?
-I install V6Custom Wolf ROM (wich contains doom v4) --> No changes are needed?
-I install V6Custom and then flash Doomkernel v5-FS --> Here is were the changes in the chargemon file are needed?
So why would someone choose the third option, as the second one contains a custom kernel(Doomkernel)?

Faster boot because you're only loading the kernel once. XRecovery is built into the kernel so if you get a bad Rom flash you won't loose access to it and have to start over with flashtool.
Since I'm not a flashaholic and I may reboot my phone once a week, I've not bothered to unlock my bootloader to install the custom kernel.

Just flash any choice of DooM's kernels then flash wolf's stock version of v06.

Plus on dooms v5 it has a dual recovery, xrec and cwr, and battery is prety good for me... you can try and always move back if you don't like it...

Good day everyone.
I accidentally flashed MiniCM9 on my X10 Mini.
nAa's thread in X8 forum said "MiniCM9 is built for the X8 / x10mini / x10minipro range", but in fact it only works on X8.
I was able to re-flash nAa's v11 kernel for X10 Mini back using Flashtool.
But the problem now is, how do I flash a ROM using Flashtool?
I tried to re-flash the latest MiniCM7 RAR file, but Flashtool cannot read the file.
Can anyone direct me to a ROM file for X10 Mini that Flashtool can detect?
I can't find any link(s) to X10 Mini ROMs using Flashtool.
EDIT:
BTW, do I need to flash a stock kernel instead of nAa's custom kernel?
In that case, can anyone re-direct me to the download links for X10 Mini stock kernel flashable via Flashtool?
Thanks.

just install MiniCM7 via cwm after u flash the nAa kernel.. but u must wipe data/factory reset first.. then install zip from sd card.. navigate where u put the cm7 .zip file
SOLVED!
After flashing the nAa kernel, I was able to access CWM via holding Back button after reboot.
I was able to restore a NANDROID backup of MiniCM7 (I made sure to backup before flashing to MiniCM9 )
Now everything's back in working condition.

Could someone please host xperia mini pro sk17i 4.0.2.A.0.58 stock kernel, just the kernel. I've made a nandroid backup, but when i'm trying to restore it, i'm having a bootloop, i guess i need to flash the kernel after i flash with a custom one. Tried to search in this forum, but no success. Or is it any other method to which i can extract the kernel from nandroid backup? Currently i'm using kamarush v3 kernel with cwm v5.0.27. thanks in advance.

I searched for the kernel, too. Just flash the kernel.sin from the .58 ftf.
Or try Rage Kernel for 2.3.4 or X kernel
Download this ftf file
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1341460
and use Flashtool to flash just kernel.sin .(uncheck everything else )
That should be equivalent to flashing stock kernel

i've read those thread, but that's not what i'm looking for. The whole ftf file is 260 mb while the kernel only would be aroud 10-15 mb in size. What I'm looking for is stock GB kernel only.

Yes it works with rage kernel for 2.3.4. It works great, I tried it!
The thing with the kernel is okay, but if it doesn't work flash the whole rom, don't exclude anything, your phone will boot up. Root it and install cwm. Then you can restore your old backup...

i got a locked bootloader, and they said the kernel included in the rom so i don't need to flash it alone
