[Q] Haptic feedback strangeness - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all,
Bit of an annoyance rather than a real problem but lately I've found that when typing occassionally the haptic feedback will act strangely. Basically rather than a tiny vibrate on key tap it creates a longer one and in doing so the phone stalls for a second and then carries on as normal, it's like it gets stuck temporarily while processing the feedback, it's not on every press but at least once per SMS if not more often.
Has anyone else experienced similar?
Thanks
Russ

(Sprint) Major Issues - Personal Opinion

Hello all,
Here are some of the things that have been bugging me since I got this new phone.
1. SMS Wakeup. When I get a text the screen wakes up and it just starts pushing buttons while its in my carrying case.
2. When I get an incoming call, sometimes I don't want to answer it. When the call comes in I get 1/2 of a ring and the touch screen answers the call, sometimes it ignores it, but most of the time it answers it.
Any fixes for these problems?

You could try S2U (Slide to Unlock).
Wake Up on New SMS –> HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL : DisableSMSWakeUpEvent <– set to “1″ by default. Change value to “0″
The Raphael (and the diamond on 1.93) now ring and vibrate for incoming SMS, so this is not really necessary, but will turn the screen on if that’s what you want (I personally don’t).

[Q] CM7 Screen Temporarily (5-6 seconds) Black When Placing Call

Intermittently, when initiating a call, the screen goes blank/ black for 5-6 seconds, or longer, and does not wake up. During this time, the phone does not respond to any tactile or soft input, but ringing and other audio continues to emit from the earphone.
I do not have any sort of screen cover/ protection, or any other obtrusion to the proximity sensor.
This is extremely annoying, as sometimes, I would like to immediately hang up, or place the call on speaker, but cannot do either as no input registers.
Is this an isolated issue to me, or CM7 on the AT&T SGS2? I am not running any special apps or background services.
It 'feels' as if this is mostly caused by some sort of lag, as it does happen intermittently. i can't pin down a particular pattern during which this persists. Anyone else experience any similar symptoms?

this same issue is what made me drop cm7 and go to UnNamed
I had it and would just hit the power button to turn it back on.
Dropped this on their forums:

CM9 Swiftkey problem

I was wondering if anyone else was experiencing this really weird problem. I'm running CM9 and use swiftkey. I have haptic feedback turned off for everything but whenever I enter text with swiftkey I still get random vibrates whenever I press a key. It's like a minefield, I never know which key is going to set off haptic feedback and it's extremely annoying.

[Q] Capacitive Buttons Freaking Out Randomly

Completely stock user since day one, this is a problem that has only come up recently. Unfortunately I can't illustrate a timeline between what updates/app installs it began happening, but the problem is no more than 2 months old.
Whenever I'm using the phone for Internet/Facebook/Reddit (95% of the time) there will occasionally be a freak occurrence where the phone will vibrate like crazy as if the capacitive buttons are being pressed rapidly and the apps will react as if the search/home/menu buttons are being pressed.
Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions? Thanks in advance for the help!

Holding phone to face for a call starts random apps or hangs up.

Has anyone experienced this frustration with the Mate 10 Pro. When I'm on a phone call and holding the phone to my cheek, sometimes the mute button will get pressed, the hang up button will get pressed, I'll end up in Bluetooth settings screen or on the notepad app and my cheek will have typed a few characters??
I thought the phone sensor is supposed to know when you have the phone to cheek and keep the screen off for battery savings as well as to avoid accidental hang ups, button presses or other things like this.
If there is a setting I have missed and someone can please help me, I'd be forever in your debt. Also want to know if this is something others experience too?
Thanks so much for any help.
