Dead Space on Rez - HTC Rezound

I just downloaded the new Dead Space. It is a little pricey at $7, but it's well worth it. It runs super smooth on the Rez, and the controls are super easy to use. The graphics are insane. Probably the best I've seen from any game on a phone. Definitely worth checking out.

Eh, the graphics are great except for the enemies. Those are just terrible. It's like late PS2 graphics around you and early N64 enemies. Bleh. Shadowgun looks great on it too.

I'll agree. The enemies could be a little better. But overall I think the graphics look pretty good. I'll have to try out Shadowgun. I've heard some good things about that one.

Looks good and runs great. Shame GTA doesn't run as smooth, but I'm sure that'll change once they update the app more.

This game causes my battery to overheat after about 45 minutes of play. Does anyone else have this problem?

The longest I've played this game is about 30 minutes maybe, and I didn't notice any issues. I would think that having your phone run anything this intensive for 45 minutes straight would cause your battery to heat up. How bad are we talking here?

Over 130 one time.

I played this game today for about an hour. It was at 133 when I finished. I really don't think it's that big of a deal since it was back to about 80 within an hour. I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it stays up at that temp for a long period of time. The battery is working overtime for this game and keeping the screen on for that long.

I downloaded this game the other day and have been very frustrated ever since! I'm having trouble getting the character to move. He only takes a couple steps at a time and sometimes he won't move at all. It's like he's stuck by something but there's nothing in front of him?

ya i agree some dual core optimazation would be nice

[GAME] Drag Racing = Awesome

Found free game on market called Drag Racing. This game the best game I have found free or paid. It is completely addictive! As an added bonus it is far cheaper than drag racing my own car and almost as fun. Danger is half the fun of racing.
gotta check it out, thanks
is there more to it? Seems like I was just holding down the gas and shift at red line.... I didn't see how to improve, or why I would downshift... am I missing something? Hold a button down?
^ thats basically it.
I'm addicted too some how.. lol.
I played for 10 minutes but I couldn't see me playing any further. It loads really fast though! Definitely a time killer, but not for me. I remember a game like this on NewGrounds back in the day. Lol

Zenonia 4

Zenonia 4 is out with much improved graphics from 1-3
Its free and plays better then previous ones

game isnt the cause for the reboot, its thanks to the .14 firmware
idunno, gameplay is kind of annoying for me, ranged attacks mean you have to be lined up with the mob your attacking... items that fall on the ground dissapear too soon IMO, overall i dont think im going to be putting a lot of time into this game.
I played the 2nd one way back when I had a crappy phone with a small screen and I wished I had a better device. I was looking forward to playing this new one on the Prime, so I checked it out. First time I died I saw the screen where you can either lose gold, xp, equipment durability to revive or pay for some cash item...
NOPE.
uninstalled.
Great graphics and the gameplay speed is awesome, but the battle controls are annoying. I keep accidentally hitting the home icon trying to run downwards.

That happens to me on almost any game with fixed controls

I've been playing it on my DX for convenience. The death system is the same as in Zenonia 3, and it isn't a huge problem, although it's a bit annoying. You can get by without paying anything for the game, but I ended up putting a bit down to make my bags bigger. Worthwhile in my mind for a well made game I"ll probably replay at some point.

Transformer Prime runs warm?

I just got home earlier tonight with a new Transformer Prime. I've found that the back of the tablet runs kind of warm. It is not worryingly hot at all, but noticeably warm. Is this normal?
Thanks!
if you doing something very intensive, like heavy duty games its normal. it doesn't get 116 degrees F hot like new Ipad though..lmfao

Mine in system panel runs around 27c with a movie playing, and yes it is warm but nothing to worry about.... you can always monitor the temp in system panel (paid app but worth it).....temperature isn't really an issue with the TF201.... as a comparison...my galaxy phone can easily run at 38c
Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Glad the warmth is normal. It is primarily on the top of the tablet, along the edge with the cameras. But agreed, I definitely would not call it 'hot'.
When running Navigiation on my Desire HD in my car on the dash, I could easily fry eggs on it after a long drive on sunny day.
Ok, not quite, but it is too hot to even put in my pocket, even uncomfortable to touch.
Naturally, when left in my car it gets warm... but out of regular usage? Never. Even playing graphic intensive games this thing doesn't ever warm up for me.
I've had it get warm, nothing alarming or anything. Now my phone, that's a different story... Got this baby up to 140 once lol. It hasn't gotten that hot in a long time though.
But yeah, the Primes temp isn't anything worth being concerned about at all.

Do you mind explaining how you fit your transformer prime in your pocket in the first place?

Real Racing 2 80% off

Real Racing is on play Store at 80% of discount. Has anyone bought it? does it work fine?
I downloaded it. It occasionally crashes. Pretty good game aside from that.

Argh, I was going to buy it right now and the offer has ended
I haven't played it on the tf300 yet but I'm rinsing the balls out of it on the One X. It's quite simply the finest racing game I've played on any portable platform. It looks amazing, handles beautifully, great choice of cars and the tracks are good fun. My only criticism, other than the waiting for a download the past 4 months while EA get a server that works, is that the races are way too easy. There really isn't much of a challenge from the AI and whilst a 1:49 lap time puts you 16th on the grid in qualifying, it's still enough to see you win the 3 lap race with a 30 or 40 second lead. But who cares, it's feckin epic!! Haven't had this much fun with cars since Gran Turismo

[Q] Overheating

I got the phone form At&t about 3 days ago. The phone is perfect and everything work just fine no lags or anything. and the design is really really nice. However, The device have this overheating when taking picture or when I charge the phone. I know Verizon users have been complaining about the device overheating when playing game. Does anyone else have the same problem or do I need to get a new device since I am still under the 14 days exchange policy?
Mine warms up if I'm taking a lot of pictures. I have also experienced it getting warm playing a few games too.

Being constructed out of aluminum, the more you use it for extended periods of time or have you brightness at higher settings, the more often and much quicker it will heat up. That being said, if your just snapping a few quick pics, or texting a buddy for a few minutes without putting your phone back to sleep and it feels actually hot not just warm, then you might have an issue. It really just depends whether you can live with it or if it's going to be something that will bug you every time you notice it. If the latter of the two is the case then I'd suggest exchanging for a new unit.
Hope this helps^^^^^^
Thanks

I'd like to mention that the aluminum body also makes a nice heat sink. So it doesn't surprise me that you feel the warmth on the body of the phone. Plastic doesn't transfer heat nearly as well.

Yeah I know that. I'm only adding in my experience because I've seen so many people on here saying their M8 never gets hot. It's always going to vary from user to user but I don't want the OP to think he's the only one

One thing I do to save battery (and reduce heat) is Under Clock the kernel.
This device is pretty darn fast, and I don't notice the under clock in every day use!
