Not sure how to word this lol... I am looking for app to use my phone data on my laptop, my mate as a Nokia and he as one called joikuspot.... just wondering if there is one available for this phone, without doing any major mods to the phone??
As I good understand you would like share you cellular internet to laptop, so you need "internet shering". It is avalilable in the newest HTC update 7740. Connect you phone to PC open Zune and check for update. If you have 7740 installed and don't see internet shering in Settings I don't think you will find any software for this.
You need the latest firmware. Its not 7740 that allows it.
I have just updated to to latest software but still cant find it..

Usually telephone companies for Branded cell release an update (is not a firmware update) that add toy your Setting menu the voice "Internet Sharing" so you can share your connection via USB or Wifi as hotspot.
For me.. (i have Unbranded cell) 1 month ago Zune show "HTC update available".
Try via zune or try to call your mobile Op. if not you have to Flash your phone with Custom Rom (on base have Internet Sharing)

It's Samsung version of Apple's ITUNES and it allows you to SYNC directly to MS Outlook.
It may or may not be useful to you but it's tremendously userful for me. The UNIT has a stripped down version of KIES called Kies AIR. The original/internation version has the software bundled with the phone, whereas the barebones AT&T version only gives you an AC adaptor and USB cable... No software...
Thanks for the info lonewolf69. I use neither iTunes nor MS Outlook.
So I never opened the Kies software.
The only reason I installed it is to get the driver.
And the driver is working perfectly. Every time I plug it in to flash the phone, there is no problem.
What is the benefit to update? Just feel better?

To Bardo and JConfus,
It's the NATIVE default system software for our phones and AT&T should have included it but in their infinite wisdom decided AGAINST it. If you click on my orginal link you can see what KIES does. It's so much more than ITUNES and Outlook SYNC.
Backup/Restore your phone
Sync to other applications other than MS Outlook
View data content of the phone via Explorer (like) browser
Download latest/greatest version of FIRMWARE
Watch the video/tutorials from the Samsung website... (Here):

lonewolf69 - thanks again. I will look into kies for sure. I vaguely remember someone somewhere saying something about Samsung unified usb drivers and I thought they said to uninstall kies before installing the latter. Maybe my memory is off. I didn't know what either did so it didn't make much sense to me. Perhaps the two things have nothing to do with each other. Any insight on that?
Finally within the link Samsung changed the version on the hp - it's the actual version now.
It could be just me but I updated and now it doesn't work thanks KIes.

Update is imminent...
Nokia Bluetooth Share has been updated and it´s speculated that the update is for 7.8. I havent been able too download it before but today I could.

I flashed 885.136 (12460) from NaviFirm Plus yesterday but I don't have Bluetooth Share or Ringtone Creator
(Lumia 710) Have I flashed an incomplete ROM ?
EDIT - Visiting this page on my phones browser and clicking the BT FT link sent me to the correct market page and let me install it, no dice on the ringtone maker yet though

I donno but, when I use the hacked version, wifi is working.

Can you please check with AIDA64, CPU-Z, or an equivelant app?
I have a suspicion that the drivers in the official version aren't functinal, and that the drivers in the unofficial version are subpar, which is to be expected with Realtek.

This is probably due to missing drivers.
My recommendation is trying out Phoenix OS, or trying to find drivers for the MT7630E which are built for version 4.4.x of the Linux kernel (if you decide to go this route, you may need to compile the drivers yourself).

here also was not connecting, try to go into security mode and connect to wi-fi then reboot normally and the wi-fi will already be working It worked here, I hope it works for you too.

Unfortunately I still get "No updates available" even with a HK server or an Indian server (NordVPN and Turbo VPN).
I think that MIUI detects that I'm in France and prevents me from getting updates from the Chinese servers.
I'm still stuck on 10.3.11.0.
Not really a big issue, I will flash the latest version manually when my bootloader will be unlocked.
