Not sure how to word this lol... I am looking for app to use my phone data on my laptop, my mate as a Nokia and he as one called joikuspot.... just wondering if there is one available for this phone, without doing any major mods to the phone??
As I good understand you would like share you cellular internet to laptop, so you need "internet shering". It is avalilable in the newest HTC update 7740. Connect you phone to PC open Zune and check for update. If you have 7740 installed and don't see internet shering in Settings I don't think you will find any software for this.
You need the latest firmware. Its not 7740 that allows it.

Usually telephone companies for Branded cell release an update (is not a firmware update) that add toy your Setting menu the voice "Internet Sharing" so you can share your connection via USB or Wifi as hotspot.
For me.. (i have Unbranded cell) 1 month ago Zune show "HTC update available".
Try via zune or try to call your mobile Op. if not you have to Flash your phone with Custom Rom (on base have Internet Sharing)

I think that not only I had problem with PS Store.
Sony Tablet S - Playstation Certified device.
Ohhh games.. niiiiice.. Hmm.. where are the games?
In my country/region - unfortunately PS Store
is just not available. I searched for it in Market/Sony,
without luck.
There is an easy solution to get it working
How to enable PS Store:
ROOT is required.
Download newest PS Store App and install it.
Download 'Market Enabler'.
Run 'Market Enabler' and click and hold US T-Mobile - choose to fake other region, accept SU.
Run installed 'PS Store' - it will notify about update - will open market
with 'Account Manager' app - install it (normally its not available = now we can do this).
Create PS Store account with UK as country.
Done!
After installation there is no need to fake other region with 'Market Enabler'
any more. But it could help in future - if some updates will appear.

Hello Condi, Can you please tell me how to unlock my tab which is locked to docomo? Its asking for a code. And I didnt see any Site that offers unlocking for this tab.
Maybe if I fake my region like above with the prop and re flash software? but since bootloader is locked anyway that I can do this?

We could try to change your region, but apparently it will not affect your simlock. But its still good to try.

i live in turkey and as i lost my phone during a business visit in china i had to buy a new phone there (sm-a7100)
as its a china based phone i can neither add my own language (as language softwares need root access) or install & use any google products (google play, hangouts, gmail, youtube, maps, etc..) i tried all root apps such as king root but no result. I also bricked the phone once while trying to root and i spent weeks until i find recovery file which only exists on chinese forums. (ifyou need the recovery file please contact me on qq for me to send you: Qq: 2259336455)
the bottom line is, if any of you, know how to root this device or have the root file, for god's sake please contact me or i will need to buy another phone.

Man I know root file also exists in some websites but you need to pay like 40 RMB for the download. The problem is those websites are chinese as well and in no way i can sign up to the website. If you think you can download i can split the cost with you

From SamMobile I downloaded the Hong Kong version of firmware for my A7 2016 (SM-A7100). And I flashed it with Odin. Now it works perfectly supporting all google apps and many others. Thanks a lot for the idea!:good:

Login in the Samsung App Store,download a app called CROM service ,and use it.
I can confirm that this method, flashing the official Hong Kong rom, is working to have google play and also OEM Unlock in dev settings, so you can install TWRP & root
Hi All,
This is my first Oppo Device and i have just received the Indian variant which i suppose is the global variant for this device.
The device is gorgeous in terms of look and feel and i am yet to explore the software which i suppose is the sad part of this device.
None the less, any quick tips & tricks will be highly appreciated :fingers-crossed: I will try and compile it all in this thread.
Greeted with an OTA at start, so hope Oppo keeps improving the user experience

These are some of the useful settings and apps that i installed:
1. Nova Launcher Prime Version:
No need to uninstall the stock launcher, just install Nova > Restore your previous backup and done, The Launcher also works with the built in gestures and no need of a separate app to be installed for the gestures.
2. AccuBattery
As ColourOS does not show battery stats and SOT, i will use this app to monitor my usage.
3. Andromeda & Substratum
I use to heavily theme my devices when it comes to devices like OnePlus but as there is no way to root for now, i use Andromeda & Sunstratum for theaming some of the apps. My setup is usually blacked out and it looks awesome on the amoled screen. The theme i can recommend is Swift Black for a blackout experience.
PS: Avoid Android System and System UI Overlays as the theme is not Oppo compatible but you can blackout the apps.

Indeed this comes with playstore and play services pre installed just like usual Android phones, screen attached.

Sadly it also has 5 app auto run limit, so no escape from that for now unless we have root, I don't see a workaround.

Well Flipkart does not deliver outside India but you can create a virtual PPO box address and get the device delivered in the US http://www.ppobox.com
I remember i got my OnePlus One this way in early 2014 when the device was not launched in India.

They (Oppo) do not have their latest firmware on their websites. In ANY country.
They have old firmware which is not what you are looking for. Am I correct to say you want latest ColorOS7?
I don't know of any website that hosts the latest ones yet

i have had 3 versions of color os 7 by far this one is latest and most stable version cph1919tw_11_ c.27. for the oppo 10 x zoom

to update to lastest version of color os (cph1919tw_11_ c.27) download a free vpn app en set to india and your phone will automatically get the latest software update . notice if your phone start downloading the update u can shut down the vpn. :good:

As this device cannot be successfully rooted, the firmware cannot be captured. Your only options at the moment are to connect via VPN to wherever is ordering ColorOS 7; wait for your territory to release it OR wait until we can root the device and have someone grab the firmware.
Your "fare share of searching" should have revealed those little nuggets of information. Not hard.
