This is from when I complained about the Thunderbolt booloader awhile ago. I have a Rezound now, I loled when I read this letter. Looks like we'll just have to hope on s-off from the community. My scanner is broken so I had to use my phone to snap a shot :X.

Well, if all goes well with the EFF and their DMCA exemption requests, it won't matter after that (they requested DMCA exemptions for unlocking the bootloader)

Just thought I'd throw it in there
Verizon **ckless at it's typical bullsh**. They're always up to no good to prevent their customers from getting the "most" out of their phones. $$$$$$$$$ . Hopefully someone successfully hacks the bootloader.... Or Htc gets on VZWs case enough to unlock it. Hmm, I have my doubts.
Yeah I think I've decided that if we don't get s-off by January 14 I'll be trading for the nexus... I'm not a fan of any kind of skins, including sense. Even though I may be in the minority I really want stock ics... I was just hoping to have it on this phone.

Moto makes decent phones, its just blur,.bootloaders, and moto's hostility towards devs that kills the brand for me. Hopefully Google will turn their attitude around.
If anything Google can singlehandedly turn Moto around, no locked bootloader, stock Android, etc. I've just hated Moto for their attitude towards the dev scene.

Came in here to post this...
And just because Motorola wasn't that great doesn't mean Google won't turn things around. It will be interesting to see if they keep MotoBlur around or just start producing vanilla android phones. It will be very interesting to see what happens over the next year or so. Also will be interesting to see what happens with other companies like HTC and Samsung.
They did it for patent reasons, which makes sense. Now I can't wait for Apple vs Google lawsuits(Motorola). Man its crazy to think where Google came from, where they are now, and where they're going. Between Apple,Facebook and google, Skynet is coming!!!!!!!

Not specifically. Andy Rubin has come out and said the Nexus phones will continue to undergo a bidding process, rather than defaulting to Moto:

This is huge news for the mobile patent wars. Moto's telecom patent portfolio is pretty significant. Hopefully Google will be smart and use this newfound ammunition to defend their partners and strengthen Android.

Why would you want an IPhone? The EVO 3D is so much better that an IPHONE. I love the fact that I can customize my phone any way I want. From custom ROMS to just custom screens it is so much fun to use. Granted I recommend IPHONEs to people that just can't seem to grasp the concept of customizing their phones.

In terms of a business standpoint. Its good for Sprint.
For us and anyone coming from other networks. Its gonna be bad. I remember what happened when the iPhone 3G dropped.
Speeds, reliability, calls dropped for several weeks. :-(
Not looking forward to it from a customer stand point.

They make some sweet cases with batteries built in. I emailed them a couple weeks ago and finally got a response. First email they sent back was kinda funny. They didn't believe I had the At&t version. Said they didn't think it had been released. Made it funny because I was using my phone to email them.
The model for our phone should be up for sale November 10.

That looks pretty much ideal.
How much though?
I am ALL over this! Hopefully the case will look nice. By reading the description for the Tmo version, it sounds like the case will be silicone?
probably, the one i had for my inspire was silicone, but the price is nice
Still not out yet. What's up with that!
Maybe they got wind of the Skyrocket and decided to put their R&D effort that way
Just sent them an email asking why it wasn't available yet.
If you are planning on getting one you can sign up on their website to get emailed a discount code when a case is first made available. I imagine once it comes out officially you won't be able to get the discount.

I emailed David a long time ago to confirm the date and never got a response...
I emailed him today and got a response which stated the case would be available on the 25th but in the email he referred to it as the Skyrocket so its probably not for our phones.
Well you see his response to me. Here was my email to him
And yeah, no discount code :-(
They already got the phones mixed up once. Who knows if they got it right this time? Guess we'll have to wait and see. Again.

These cases got horrible video reviews on YouTube. Did anyone actually try these?
Based on their responses (or lack thereof) and not being able to distinguish the Skyrocket from our phone, I am not putting any faith anymore in this vendor to be honest.
Too bad -- seemed like a decent alternative.

I highly doubt that E-mail is leigt, Google supports OPEN source/devices. I looked at the other forums and there's not much going on over there as in terms of achieving s-off. Unless they have all gone under the radar, also saw a post stating their head hauncho was passing it off to another member on their team. Just gotta keep hoping for s-off.

Yeah, if VZW / Google was concerned then why is the G-Nex so easily unlocked?
Venture a guess that they don't want a bunch of bricked new phones still under warranty or they are afraid people coming from custom rom may blame them if something were to go wrong when flashing ics whenever that train comes.

Hate that so much. The lens on my Evo 4G was scratched up a couple of months after I bought it. I suppose I could lay it screen down on my desk, but then I have to keep flipping it over to see anything. At the very least, make the lens scratch-resistant, or recessed enough to not scrape across the surface it's on.
And I prefer the looks of the AT&T version of the One. The Sprint version is just another plain black slab -- why do we get such ugly phones on Sprint?? Still gonna get one though
See the thread located HERE......
How do you figure that. Rim isn't going down hill because of bad hardware. There going down hill because of outdated software. Rims 9930 is a solid preice of hardware. Now if they catch up on the software front that would help them tremendously, maybe look into bigger screens for there next Gen phones. HTC has solid hardware and beautiful software. Just to much implementation of sense IMO.

HTC had a huge hit in 2010 with the Evo. They had a down year in 2011 (how do you follow up the Evo???), but they're generating a lot of hype with this new One line. I don't think they're going the way of RIM. And by the way, smart move if they're going to concentrate on a single line of phones rather than pushing out a new, differently named phone every month.
