If i unlock my bootloader, flash cwm, and then relock the bootloader will cwm and 4g still work?

you would have to flash cwm back to stock recovery, and the kernel would also have to remain stock...
there is also a thread in development that will tell you how to have 4g with non stock roms.

My Atrix will not boot into Android Recovery mode. It says "Entering into Android Recovery..." then gives me the Android with the caution sign. I rooted my device, then used ROM manager about a week ago to flash CWM. I then unlocked the bootloader, which reset my phone's data. Before I unlocked the bootloader I had the same problem, and figured the bootloader wass the problem. ow that it's unlocked I still can't boot into it. I'm running 2.3.4 on the device, the stock model.

Flash CWM from rom manager again. That's what I had to do.

When I unlocked my bootloader it wiped everything, including Superuser. I'm assuming I have to reroot it to flash it successfully?

I say yes. You have to be rooted to use rom manager anyway..

My phone is a EVO 3d gsm hboot 1.49.0018 htc unlock s-on og the stock rom and stock kernel

Boot your clockworkmod by computer via fastboot method. Thats why i hate 1.50, i need computer or notebook with adb installed to flash anything.

Ok. So I sould flash my nandroid, then use adb and flash the stock kernel there?
I think the CDMA and GSM work somewhat the same via S-ON when it comes to kernels..
You should go and wipe find a rom that is close to stock that uses the stock kernel..
Then throw it on your SD card
Now turn debug on.
Now use ADB
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot boot recovery.img
Wipe and flash the rom
Your set..

Read the problems thread in general. They have a lot of trouble shooting methods over there.

Having the exact same problem. I had the phone rooted and had clockwork recovery. I relocked the phone and went back to stock recovery (using an img file posted here).
I can download the 299mb file just fine, but it reboots to fast boot every time. Thought a factory reset might help, but my phone now won't even do a factory reset. Again, it just boots to fast boot.
I think I figured out the issue. I relocked before I used the all in one toolkit to flash to stock recovery. You need to be unlocked to flash stock recovery. So I had to restore the phone to an unlocked state, flash the stock recovery, and then relock it again. Now the update seems to be going through okay.
Hi, i need help!!
Do i need unlocked bootloader to install CWM?
Try to install CWM via stock recovery, and it stops this image http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...0&postcount=65
can you tell what should i do?
Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2001655 everything you need is laid out for you. Two recoveries to choose from after FreeGee, CWM or TWRP.
Support the dev and buy, it makes everyone happy and it's a simple process. I'm going to trust that you're rooted already.

There is a guide stickied in general. This phone is locked, you can't just flash things out of the box.

Thx, of course i've read all manuals, but there is not saying that i need unlock to flash CWM. Thought there is the way to flash CWM without unlocking.
