SORRY if this is a wast of thread but i need help very badly
MY PROBLEM IS SOLVED CHEK THE LAST POST FOR DETAILS THANKS
i tried to update my ROM with helgees ROM through SD card it did not happen so i used stylus and restarted the phone now its dead not coming on
NEED help any suggestions pls
Note : i said this many time and im repeating when such thread are opened pls re visit the same and do report when the problem solved this would help others who would latter on come to the same thread and try to help u if they know the problem is solved then u have saved their time and energy and they could use the same for some more Usefull purposed (that why i revisited and posted that my problem is solved )

and i got all my contacts on PIM now how do i get the same i need these contacts i have not synked with the PC i only have PIM backup

Connect your Phone to PC, press and hold camera then power, it will go to bootloader (three color), if it's not work, press and hold camera then reset, it also will go to bootloader, then flash your phone with other ROM by PC.

Do the same that Besfen told you , and atleast, once remove the battery and then press the key combination(Camera + powerbutton) and then put the battery again,then try what Besfen is saying
(I am assuming that your phone is not off because of the drained battery)

my phone is not comming on i am getting only the green and red color if i stik the stylus in the reset button thats all i did try wat u said nope its not happening
can u at least give me an idea if i can view the PIM bakup i got like 600nos and i need them

batt i have more than 70% i tried to flash bu SD it was stuk in the screen long time so i used stylus and re set phone now i got this black screen
at least give me an idea to get the PIM backup at least on my comp
i need the pone numbers i dont have active synk backup

that removing the batt u said i think did the trik thanks guys a million my phone is up and running

You can see contact in pimbackup only if you restore it.
remove the battery, then press the power for 10 - 20 seconds to remove residual power, then insert battery, connect your phone to pc, press and hold camera button, don't release it and reset, release reset first but don't release camera, you can release it if your phone in bootloader (Three color)

That is really a good news,when you said that your gene is dead literally u won't believe i felt that the problem is mine and i lost my gene.

It's Ok yaar.
Tonight i was planning to flash helgee's new rom,but now no more SD card flashing for few days.
Right now i am using besFen's m2d rom.
quite happy with it ,no pros till now. but some features are missing
(Not a complaint)as BEsFen already stated that it's a clean rom.
For a moment I though haree is gone ha ha!
Yupe the problem in sd flashing is that if we flash the wrong rom, then there is chances of getting brick. what do u guys say.?

i realy S Briks yesterday and its gona take me along time to try SD flashing again but i did flash the rite ROM may be got a little impatient with the Flashing i think
if u Flash wrong ROM even with ROM utty u are in trouble no juts SD card
Now i need to save all my phone contacts on my comp im not sure if we can do active synk can any one pls give me a SW or idea to save all my contact at any other place so if i get into the same problem again at least my numbers are safe
or is their a SW to read the pim backup on the comp

hey hari...
use active sync man so that you contacts will be saved in MS outlook....if you need a copy of your contacts it will always be there in outlook..simplest way as far as i know...
also once you contacts are saved in outlook you can export them into a excel file and save it safe some where....

i jus installed x recovery and copied the FreeX10-beta1.zip on the sd card after downloading it frm this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=900441
i managed to install it but its not working properly.. i installed the hot fixes for it too but there wifi is not working and there is no network service... and the screen flashes aftr few seconds..
i dnt knw wat to do.. please help me as soon as possible..

and one more thing the screen is automatically responding as if its being touched.... though im not touching it... i hope u get what im trying to say!

If I am not mistaken, this ROM is still a beta version. So these bugs are to be expected. You can post on the thread and the OP should respond to you.

Like said, follow the instructions on the thread as to how to report bugs. Hopefully, they can help you out.
see the rom may not be for usage purpose doing it was not at all a good idea .u can try using se pc suite and enter the firmware upgrade mode then connect to the p and then automatically the pc suite will regonise your device and will downgrade to 2.1 which would be functional .
it happened with me too
this has been discussed over and over and over and over again...
you have to open adb shell and then killall servicemanager
oh and by the way. dispite It´s costum rom it work almost perfectly, except the camera part of course.

it has passed 1 year without any problem except purple fringe for which my phone was swapped...
It might be soft bricked don't do ofently

I do flash it alot ! As far as my exp it won't damage your phone ! What that might damage your phone is overheating :thumbup:
so heres what i did.. i flashed the rom called Checkrom RevoHD and i didnt want it ...its so outdated i went to its recovery menu it was also outdated i could only choose install zip from exsdcard.. i tried flashing other rom it wouldnt work.. so i tried diffrnt kernel it didnt work then i tried Installing Philzz kernel and it flashed it then i reboot and now its not working anymore.. no recovery menu and no start up ,samsung logo appears then it gets pixelated bad picture and nothing more..
*i can go into Download mode..* pls tell me will it work again if i use stock..? im downloading a stock rom :C and after that what kernel or how can i flash into Jelly bean again i dun want to brick it .

Yup i do..
Try flashing another Safe Kernel like SpeedMod than do a Full Wipe and finally Flash a Jelly Bean ROM :good:

i love the risks sometimes but for a second there i was so depressed i was like oh **** no.. my poor phone damn its working again and im all happy DX i should stop flashin so much urghgh its a disease
