Will This work on H20 or Crickett - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Does anyone know if the SGS2 unlocked will work with H20 sim card and get 3g and 4g or what about Crickett Wireless...I live in the USA

For H20, the international one as well as the AT&T one will work just fine (no need to unlock for the AT&T one). The T-Mobile one will work as well but only 3G Using the 1900mhz frequency but you'll need to unlock of-course.

As far as I know, the Galaxy SII from Sprint (Epic 4g Touch) is the only one that will work on Cricket's network, but you have to flash it to work on Cricket. I don't know the specifics though. You'll have to research it.

flash to cricket
does anyone have a noob proof walkthrough on doing a full flash from sprint 4g version to cricket?

No i9100 user would have a reason to have one. Why don't you try the epic 4g touch (SPH-D710) forum.

[Q] What's carrier can the Galaxy S II be flashed to?

Hi a friend of mine wants to trade his Galaxy S II for my Evo Shift. I'm pretty sure it's worth the trade but before I do I wanna know what's possible on it first.
What all carrier(s) can the Galaxy be flashed to?
What's the best performing/fastest carrier available?
And is the flashing process easy?
Thanks in advance

What country? And what model of Galaxy S II does he have? What carrier did he get it from, if any?
There are over a dozen different models of Galaxy S II, and they are all different. Some are GSM, some are CDMA. Some have LTE, some don't. So what carrier the phone will function on will depend on what model it is.
EDIT: You say you have an Evo 4G Shift, which makes me think you are on Sprint, in the US. Is he also on Sprint? If he is, then the Galaxy S II he has is not the same as the one this forum is for.
THIS forum is for the GT-I9100, which is a GSM phone... which means it works on AT&T and T-Mobile (but only with Edge on T-Mobile) in the US.
The one from Sprint (a CDMA network) is the SPH-D710, also known as the Galaxy S II Epic 4g Touch. (Its forum is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1281) If this is true, then I've heard you can flash the Epic 4g Touch to other CDMA carriers (like Cricket, Verizon, US Cellular, etc)... but I don't know the details. If he indeed has the Epic 4g Touch, then you would be better off asking in the forum for that device.
Ok I was not aware of that. But yes it is a sprint version which would make it CDMA. I didnt realize there was a difference between carriers. But thank you anyway for the help!

Galaxy S3 International works on Rogers?

Hi, I've read that the international quad core version of the Galaxy S3 can be used on Rogers.
I know absolutely nothing about phones so I was wondering how this can be done?
Do I just buy the international version without contract and take it to a Rogers service store and add a plan on it? What type of plan should I be using with the international version? I don't need LTE or 4G. I'm fine with the 3G network as long as the phone works without any issues. Is there any trustworthy sites where can I buy the unlocked international version of the S3?

I am not super familiar with how things work in the US for mobile phones, but here are a few threads that might help you:

Rogers is in canada not US
@OP I am 99% sure that international GSIII will work on Rogers. I had GSII with me and I used it on rogers with a prepaid plan

From a little bit of research, everyone is saying the international GSIII will work as long as it's on a 3G data plan. Is there any downsides to using the international version other than being limited to 3G? Is it as simple as buying the unlocked GSIII int'l phone and using a 3G plan on it?

I don't think there is any downside apart from not being on LTE. Yes it should be as simple as buying an unlocked phone, putting the sim card in it with a 3G plan. In case if your data does not work check if APN is added. I remember it was added automatically for me on GSII
I'm on rogers with the 9300, works fine. Obviously no LTE, but the HSPA+ is fast enough. Not to mention Canadian bandwidth restrictions making LTE a huge turn-off for me. 6GB a month for $60+, no thanks
EDIT: I could be wrong but I don't see a problem with what you mentioned in the OP. Get the phone and just buy a regular smartphone data plan, or whichever plan you want. As for myself, I kept the same plan as my X10 and just cut my sim up because it wouldn't fit and it works fine, no change of plan or anything.

Can You Modify Your Rogers Galaxy S2 LTE to work on aws 1700/2100?

Hello Everyone
I don't know if this has been asked before, but I searched and found no answers. Basically, Me and my dad want to switch from Rogers to Mobilicity (which uses the 1700/2100 frequency), so we went to the mobilicity store and tried my dad's galaxy s2 lte (rogers version) with the mobilicity sim card, and the phone didn't detect mobilicity's network (it goes into Rogers roaming mode i think). So I started looking around, and I found this advertisement on Kijiji Calgary about modifying the S2 LTE to work with Mobilicity's frequency. So, Is there a way I can convert/modify the phone by myself to work with the AWS 1700/2100 frequency? I assume the phone has to be rooted first if such thing is possible?
Thanks!
I don't think so as it's HW related.

[Q] Will ATT One work on Sprint network?

Long story short. Will a HTC One AT&T work on the Sprint network? Google has Sprint to AT&T, but not the other way around. I read about different bands and 4G and all that, but simple yes or no, will it work and what will work...

Sprint Phones do not use a SIM card. So any phone that uses a SIM card will not work on the Sprint network. The One uses a SIM card.

AT&T Galaxy Mega (SGH-I527)

Will an unlocked AT&T Galaxy Mega SGH-I527 work with T-Mobile's 4G LTE or just 4G? Also, outside coverage area, will it use AT&T's 4G LTE?
Thanks!

Nice, thanks!
Another question. I just switched to MetroPCS (uses same towers as T-Mobile) when I go roaming, will it roam in AT&T's towers? Does that mean when roaming I will also have 4G LTE instead of Edge? Or does AT&T recognize the phone it's from MetroPCS and lower it to Edge? I ask because I noticed T-Mobile doing all this reframing to use same bands as AT&T could it be possible that an unlocked AT&T phone have 4G LTE while on T-Mobile's network AND while ROAMING where a T-Mobile phone wont and that would be whack... T-Mobile charge $80 a month and not have 4G LTE while roaming while MetroPCS charges $60 a month AND have 4G LTE while roaming if using an AT&T device?
