cyanogenmod add 10 sonyericsoon devices in supported ldevices list including mini and x8.so why not our ace ace is better than x8 and mini so i want to ask ho can we comminicate with the dev of cyanogenmod and i have also see cyanoace and kang unofficail rom are downloaded by 1600+.
From my understanding coolya is still working on his CM7, that will be the official one.

Android isnt developed in a single version tree, the source tree gets updated
by any time - so every new version is a update/bugfix or upgrade.
the only reason to open a new tree like from froyo to ginger, or maybe from ginger to HC/ICS is incompatible
code - this isnt the way developers works on big projects, and, google has sayed the ICS is backward compatible.

even if it did come to us, would you flash it? im sure that any custom made rom (in this case cm9) is always better than its stock version.

Yes, I will flash it in the day it comes, the official version for Optimus One, unfortunately, will come after half a year, like GB did(Romania was 1st), but this may never come... So I am surely flashing CM9, but mik must do it.

i too am waiting for the day when cm9 is ported onto our phone
and why only mik? im am not doubting his developing but if all of our developers come together, im sure the process will be much faster
i think the following developers would make the dream team: mik, andy, ciaox working on porting ics, and franco working on the kernel.

Yeah but even if ics is leaked LG would take time to give us a ics even if they were going to do this it would suck, they would destroy the whole ICS

this is what i mean - what do you think sayed google in many official statements
why this android version isnt supported? do you think you can copy some libs
from lg ginger to honeycomb and YOU can break the google statement and even
the not working hardware with this version? sorry, i respect every work here -
but THIS android version CANT work with our device, spend your time in useful things
like your MIUI project, this has a chance to work with the P500 device instead of useless
honeycomb!
Just a personal request as I enjoy Samsung services that are current not present in both CM9 and AOKP builds. Hope that this can be done and thanks in advance!

Porting Newest Touchwiz-UX ROM
I know that this is a really old thread to bump, but with the new Touchwiz-UX of the GS3, it is even more appealing to have. I really hope someone would port this, even though we have a Remics-UX ROM that replicates the newer Touchwiz.
Please reply if you are interested.
I've actually worked on this with my dev team and v2.x.x of RemICS-UX was supposed to be based on Samsungs ICS. However we've kind of abandoned the idea as it was too difficult to implement. It only works on devices which already have an ICS ROM from Samsung as that make a lot of changes when compared to AOSP

Hey guys i have been checking the differnt forums witht the phones i have and noticed that a dev is porting 3.x kernel to the lg optimus me p350 and its working.. how come no one whnts to do it to this phone. Im now convinced that it can be done. Imsure that if a phone worse and slowrr than ace can get it im sure we can.. i would like to try but its way out of my knowledge
