Anyone find a way to remove this annoying icon. I got it off one stock ICS leak, but now with a debloated rom and the addition of the ICS keyboard, it appears you can only have one keyboard installed in order to not see this icon. Thoughts?
*EDIT*
So it seems renaming the AxT9IME.apk to AxT9IME.bak solves this annoying icon issue.
It still shows up even though I renamed that and rebooted. Hmmm.

Which keyboard are you using. If you have a market kb installed you need to disable the ics keyboard as well. I am using ICS, so disabling the Samsung keyboard fixed it.
I'm using tablet Swype beta. I'll try disabling the stock one
Edit: that did the trick, thanks!

Just tried to pull out my Spen for pop up S Note (or normal S Note) and it wouldn't write. I've cleared cache, cleared data, and rebooted. Thought it was weird that it only doesn't work on S Note but works fine anywhere else. Wondering if anyone has this issue and fixed it or if someone could post the apk.

Works fine here. do you have the right mode selected in the toolbar?

Isn't it like jb 4.2 keyboard?
yes and No
the Note 2 keyboard has the number on top of the Keyboard which is something i like most about the keyboard
4.2 keyboard has built in swype tho which is a plus
So does the stock Samsung keyboard for Note 1. What's different?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using xda premium
I've been looking for it as well... it has built in swype just like the JB keyboard plus the numbers in the top from the Samsung keyboard and automatic s pen detection.

Please do!!! I found a zip for the S3. I tried flashing it but no luck.

A good remedy in the meantime could be lowering the longpress time to 200 - 300 ms on swiftkey flow.
You get the swype feature and the numbers on top with a very short long press. Kinda ironic.
Works for me!

I'm going to take a look at the ATT & TMO stock ROMs to see if I can get this running on the NOTE1.
There is an old thread that lists the following as dependencies for the Chinese keyboard:
/system/app/SamsungIME.apk
/system/lib/libhandwritelib.so
/system/lib/libjni_secime.so
/system/lib/libXT9.so
/system/lib/libXt9core.so
The lib files for the version of MyScript used on the NOTE 2 keyboard are located at:
/system/lib/libMyScriptEngine.so
/system/lib/libMyScriptEquation.so
/system/lib/libMyScriptHWR.so
/system/lib/libMyScriptShape.so
/system/lib/libMyScriptSolver.so
Of these '/system/lib/libMyScriptHWR.so' is the most likely dependency for the keyboard. The other libs are most likely SNote/SMemo related.
I was able to get the new Android keyboard (JB_MR1) working on the Stock ROM by completely uninstalling the old one then installing the new via TB. It didn't work for me by simply updating the new on top of the old.
IDK if this is what you are looking for, but number 7 works for our phone also!!!

No go from my end. Put in the lib in the correct place rebooted and nothing. Here is the file in case someone wants to move or test it some other way. It is the lib file from the last reply. http://db.tt/5Jk97V6r

So your using SecMMS.apk then. MMS.apk is aosp MMS.. Which is what you will normally flash to get. I'll mod the SecMMS.apk for you after I get off work.
I'm using the one that came with the rom. SecMms.apk is what es file explorer says. I appreciate you doing that too!

Here you go bro. Rename to SecMms.apk & replace in System/app.
Thanks man. Appreciate it!

You can use root explorer if you own that app or root browser lite, which is free to navigate yourself to the system folder and then to you app folder so that you replace the old SecMms.apk. Since I'm not a big fan of deleting system apps, when you navigate to system and then to apps, you'll see the apk for the old mms app. Rename that to SecMms.bak and then copy the modified version SecMmsModified.apk to the same sytem/app location, rename it SecMms.apk, reboot your phone and you're good to go.
Cool. That's easy enough. Thanks man!
No problem
Hey guys, a few questions...
1. When I flashed the rom using the appropriate method (format system / factory reset / wipe davlik) my previous SD card data "disappears" I can't see it in astro but I do through boot loader.. What is going on? How can I access that data?
2. When I tried to install black mart, an apk file it doesn't let me press the install button. I do have the unknown source option checked. How can I fix that??
3. I restored my backup, stock rom, and everything works fine for now... Is this safe?? Can I just restore PAC-man and continue using it??

1. Its in /data/media, this is covered numerous times, its a 4.2 change. Copy your files from /data/media to /0.
2. I won't help with warez. Aside from that is it the only app this happens with?
3. Restore wipes before restoring, so its mostly fine, but I wouldn't flash PAC over a sense rom since they are all 4.1.

Have you tried any non pay valid apk files? Like even in TiBu or something? It can be anything from the play store that is free, just wondering if its a paid app issue or any app.

I figured it out..
1. The files are hidden.
2. Astro didn't see the files, even when I selected show hidden files.
I used a different app, perfectly....
Thanks again.

This is the second time I've seen astro fail to see those files, they really need to update. I use solid and it sees all that stuff first e right off the bat, no settings needed. Its not free, though, so I try not to suggest it as it has a trial period last I checked. Es file manager should also work well.

I would give ghost commander a try. It is feature rich and root mode compatible. Just make sure to customize the toolbar...
