So im sure some have noticed that the Market for the sgt stays in landscape mode when holding it in portrait (at least it is for me lol). So is there a way for me to fix/change it so that it can rotate to portrait.
I have the 7+ and mine was doing the same thing. This afternoon I updated it with kies and during the update, it asked me if I wanted to download a new market app...problem gone, so try updating

I5500 here...
While I did not had this issue with stock 2.1.1 ROM, I had it with 2.2 (tested with NEE, XEU & PHB). After putting the battery back in and restarting the phone, my icons and widgets just disappeared from all of my virtual desktops on device. After trying to browse all my installed apps I go the loading beach ball of death. I've waited for half an hour and finally fixed the issue with a factory reset. No it was not the redraw lag... icons just disappeared and refused to appear again no matter how much I waited for them The same thing also happened after my phone self-restared itself without any intervention from my side
It looks like it could be a better idea to stick with the MAD Team releases of FroYo which have some issues fixed. As for me - I switched back to 2.1.1 even it is somewhat limited by features comparing to FroYo. It was maybe some incompatible app that messed up my FroYo, but it is strange that one week after going back to 2.1.1 I had no issue like this even using the same apps. Time will show ;-)
To moderator : double posting. could you please remove this one...
i have same problem with my Galexy 5 (GT-I5503),my phone randomly power down,my firmware version is 2.1-update1
please help what was happend for my cell phone
I just downloaded skype onto my phone last night and started a video call. I was disappointed to see that I could only have a video call in landscape orientation. When I held my phone portrait orientation it would just show me as sideways to the other person.
Is everyone having this issue or did I just somehow get unlucky? I've tried a factory reset and uninstall and reinstall and that didn't change anything.
Does anyone have a fix for this?

I can't help you as I only use Google Talk - Skype is such a horrific battery drainer that I will never again install it on an Android device.
I can't stand skype myself, but trying to get the others to switch is a different story....

I was just using skype today on my phone and I was able to get it to work. I enabled the auto-rotate screen option on the phone itself and it worked.
The newest update f'd everything up. I had to revert to an earlier version via TiB.

although this is not a fix (I'll leave that to the skype devs), I'll suggest either using GTalk or Tango. I use Tango and my battery does not drain and it works great. I will not go back to skype until they fix the battery drain issues (if that ever does get fixed).

I receieved my Transformer Prime 2 nights ago and the accelerometer seemed to be sticky, after some use it started operating (post ics update). Today it seems to have stopped working again, I've emailed Asus for support but wondered if anyone here had a fix for this. I tried using the Tablet Info app to verify it was in fact the accelerometer and as I suspected, there is no data for the sensor. Please Help!
I would suggest doing a reboot. if that doesn't clear it then a factory reset. If still nothing, then do a fresh reinstall of ICS firmware from Asus website. I always leave my rotation off and n permanent landscape mode. I hate when it rotates when I don't want it to. my rotation works fine after update though.
I just got a refurbished phone from Verizon. I never messed around with it or anything and I immediately rooted it and installed the Jelly Bean leak.
I had issues with contact photos showing up in the Favorite Contacts widget and I had problems with my phone not switching between landscape and portrait mode.
So I did a factory reset and reloaded everything, now the issue is happening again.
Could it possibly be a software problem? I've downloaded a few different apps to test it and I'm almost certain it isnt a hardware problem. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

settings/Display/auto-rotate screen see if it is enabled. also you can install a custom rom to see if it's persisting
if those doesn't work, go to warranty
Woke up this morning to a notification for a new update. I am stock, unroofed and only use this device for work, so I was just curious as to what this update was for.
Installed it but I notice the airview stuff doesn't work. Phone detects the stylus near the screen but can't pull up the airview menu (yes- it is turned on in the settings)
Again.. Mostly curious.
