[Q] Lost all data connectivity over gsm - XPERIA X10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I have searched and didn't find anything but apologies if this has been asked before.
For the last week or two I have not been able to get any data connectivity over gsm. Nothing syncs at all, email, calenders, to-do lists etc. all aren't working. As soon as I fire up WiFi it all works perfectly.
I am running Eric's latest EWJET rom on an unlocked BL. Wife's identical phone is working fine, same rom etc.
I also should say we are both on orange.
Anyone know if this is a settings thing or has my phone taken one knock too many?

[Q] 3G only available with WiFi

I've searched everywhere and have been working on this problem all night. I unlocked the Bootloader and Rooted the phone about a month ago and uninstalled bloatware. Haven't had any issues with the new Android marketplace updates or when it's updated apps on my phone. However, over the past 3 weeks, my 3G connection kept dropping off in the Marketplace and on different apps. It shows up as full bars but they're grayed out. They only turn blue when I connect via WiFi (At least I won't go over my data plan!) This sucks because I've been missing important e-mails because G-mail and other apps will only sync when I'm connected to wireless network.
I've cleared the Dalvik cache, went through and rolled back the Android Market place to the stock version. I also restored my APN settings but I'm at a complete loss since none of these things worked.
I haven't posted much because I'd prefer to read and search for the problem online but I'm coming up short here. Should I return it back to AT&T or is there something else I'm missing?
*EDIT: I also realized that I'm having issues with the Bluetooth connection, the GPS connection recently since the upgrade. Finally, I have not had the fingerprint scanner working since before I've rooted and unlocked the BL.

[Q] Needing help with S5830L

Hi, everyone.
After a slight fall, my S5830L started rebooting randomly. In some cases it just shutdown.
Looking for causes, I've found that when Data Connection is active ( In Settings - Wireless and Network Settings - Mobile Networks) it reboots.
If I turn off Data Connections everything is fine. I even can connect using WiFi when available, and synchronize accounts, send emails, access market, etc. All OK.
When I check again Data Connection option, sooner or later (rather sooner) it fails again.
Has anyone heard about issues like this? I need some help to deal with it. I can use almost everything, except data connection, and I really miss it
Thanks to all for the answers, any idea is welcome!
Augusto.
PS: Hope my mail is clear enough, since English is not my native language...

Hi, this is not normal, what firmware do have you installed?
This problem may be occur with any program installed and not for firmware problem.
I've flashed at least three different firmwares and with all the same problem persists.
Right now i've Android 2.3.6 (from Entel PCS, Chile)
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-perf- CL771662
Compilation Number: GINGERBREAD.UBKPL
Baseband Version: S5830LUBKPL
The problem started after my son dropped the phone downstairs, just a couple of steps, though...
I don't remember installed anything wierd, for that time.-
PS: I took the info about Entel PCS version from your web. Thanx. Nice Job!
I would have to agree that it sounds more software then hardware based. Usually if hardwares broken its very predictable. I would try to restore a different firmware stock or custom. I have an L and went with a custom rom. The data dropping might be a baseband issue but someone more wise than I would have to comment on that.
The wierd thing is that on the first connection it works, at some point the connection hangs, then while trying to reconnect it shutdown.
I was running a Samsung's 2.3.4 firmware when the problem started, then I flashed a Personal Stock 2.3.4 firmware (the original, that came with the phone), after that tried Entel PCS's 2.3.6. I keep this one because it's the newer version...
All behave the same way. The baseband should be the same for all, because the L (S5830L) is for LatinAmerica, and I've always double checked this.
Hi,
Have you tried to flash the original stock ROM again? You can download it from http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/
This site also explain how to use odin to flash the firmware.
My Android version is 2.3.4and Baseband is S5830LUBKPF and it works OK
I believe it might be hardware wise. Have you rooted you SGA already?

[Q] HELP Thunderbolt Rom V2 - Signal Problems

Hi - I am brand new here and have spent a couple of days working out a couple of problems I have had with Thunderbolt ROM V2 Jelly Bean. The first problem I had was no sound coming from the Samsung S2 dock, I read around tried a few different solutions but nothing worked. I did happen to find an excellent Playstore App called 'Dock Sound Redirector' and this did the job for me.
However, after leaving for some shopping today I have found a major problem with the ROM which is that I cannot receive a data signal for most of my apps, except strangely - Facebook. I get connection errors on my news apps, flipboard fails, twitter fails etc. So this is a major problem and defeats the purpose of having a smart phone.
I have an international Galaxy S2.
So - so far I have flashed the radio with at least 3 different zips and nothing has worked. I downloaded a network switch tool that allowed me to better access the protocols such as CDMA, GSM and so on. No effect.
Has anyone had the same issue and has any ideas about solving this one?
On install I just took the default kernel (although I have no idea what that means) which was the dream kernel.
Really appreciate it.

[Q] Weird Modem Issue on Cyanogenmod 10.1

Hello community, I'm having a bit of an annoying issue with my Cyanogenmod connection to mobile data.
I'm running version 20130624 nighlty of the CM rom and, after trying fixing my problem with different modems, I realised I needed someone else's help.
I'm from argentina, my baseband version is I9300UBLG5 and, even being somewhat of an android newbie, it was relatively easy to find out that I had to download the UBLG5 modem to get data reception after installing CM 10.1.
I did and everything was fine. But later on I realised that whenever I'm on mobile data and I get 3G reception, nothing will load. Whenever I'm on Edge or H I'm able to load everything perfectly, but what's even weirder is that even though I can't browse the internet, use facebook or twitter etc, I do recieve whatsapp messages when on 3G.
I have tried using two other different modems: I9300XXLH1 and UBELL1. Not to mention several APNs that I found browsing through google results from my country, and I still can't seem to find a solution for this problem.
I would really appreciate if you could help me out here as it's a really annoying problem to have, even more so when I spend most of my week on mobile data.
Thank you!
P.S.: Im rooted on (obviously) 4.2.2.

Mobile Network Issues, apps Not Connecting

Hello guys, I'm having a huge issue with my mobile network.
For the past two weeks I've not been able to make use of my mobile network correctly, it sometimes works, but most of the time doesn't. The icon in my status bar shows there is activity, it's fully connected to 3G or LTE, even with full bars. But all my apps like Telegram, Pokémon go, Messenger and the likes are stuck "reconnecting" to the network, as if my phone doesn't have any reception at all. At some points even SMS messages refuse to send, even though I've got full reception.
I've already gotten my SIM card switched out, attempted multiple clean flashes and the issue still persists.
Phone: Oneplus One
My current firmware: 0.1.c1.11-00006-M8974AAAAANAZM-1
Current ROM: idprophecy's unofficial optimized lineage-14.1-20180413-UNOFFICIAL-bacon
Current Recovery: Kutep0v TWRP 3.2.1-K2
Is there anything I can do? I'm getting really desperate.
This is my last plead on this forum, as I haven't had any response from anyone since april 25th, I've got nothing else to do but wait. Can't find anything on the internet about this issue, you're my last hope.
Have you tried flashing to stock version?
