I got my SGS2, marvellous
I rooted with a very difficult to find KF5 insecure Kernel
Installed Rom
and now when i make calls all people can hear is "white noise" kinda sound..
i know its not the mic cos i tested with skype so obviously something has buggered up..
Tried couple other Kernals, same issue!
HELP!!!!

Just reinstalled original stock rom and kernel... i think the problem was an incompatible modem... reinstalling seems to have fixed..

Hey jwloo,
You should get in the habit of checking the cook's streakmod thread first. In his first post he explains that the G-Sensor has a bug and that he hasn't yet figured out why it's not working correctly. Apparently, though, you can disable auto screen rotation in the settings, then re-enable it, and that's supposed to get it working again... until it stops working again, that is.
Not trying to sound rude, but the answer was right there, probably not worthy of a new topic.

Hi guys! I have recently flashed my SGA with this ROM:

Everything is working fine but I have to reboot my phone every time I want to receive a file via bluetooth. One more thing, the data packet has the same problem too, I need to do frequent reboots. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
Ok...after so many months without reply, I found out that it's a kernel problem...so to solve it, use another kernel or ROM...
P.s I know it's on a wrong forum...but sorry, it was done when I was a newbie...

Totally Noob here.
First of all, i admire to helping ppl here, and many smart and genious hard working gys!
I flashed my x10i (i can swear, it was x10i !!) to 2.3.3, baseband ver.2.1.71,all was ok, till i spoted the phone converted to x10a(!?).
Also i have noticed some gray spot on my pictures, i suppose it's a software problem, what do you think?
And my music getting glitchy while playing on, if moving the phone. All the rest working great:silly:
So., i would like to downgrade to previuos firmware (cant find a healthy mirror link, so if someone could help, i'd appreciate it), but dont remember was it 2.1 or 2.2(
So what do you suggest in my case plz?
p.s.
the phone is still sim locked, is there some software solution here to unlock, cuz cant unlock by code.

Hi, maybe ya messed during flashing your rom. If rooted, try check ya buiklprop, see is there any line mentioning "x10a", try change it into "x10i" and reboot phone. Ur rom is official updated or custom? 2.3.3GB music player is wellknown buggy non smooth. Only can be solved if using other music player that supported. And about the link for 2.1 here from MY BUDDY'S thelogic hope helps

no free solution for unlocking your sim.
Also the camera works perfectly in 2.3.3
either reflash the 2.3.3 rom using flashtool or repair using PCC or SEUS.
If music still is glitchy, use some stock based custom roms

before i start with my issue id like to say that i have searched and searched and searched for the answer to my little problem and ive come up with nothing that i either understand or been able to solve my problem so PLEASE dont shout, moan or carper about my following question.
first is i own a samsung galaxy s2 i9100 on the three network in the UK, had the phone about a year and successfully flashed ics rooted 4.0.4 on my device.
when I did this everything worked fine except my camera and the ability to watch videos.. skype was fine although i can only see the calling party and not myself.. my own video being always black regardless.
I still have all the files needed should you need to know these. just let me know.
I'm truly sorry about this.. but after all this time im at my whits end with how to solve this..

stock kernal on ics 4.0.4 had a camera issue on the sgs 2 when firstflashed.
Just change the kernal to a siyah 4.1.5 or any similiar kernal without the mali drivers and your phone should work fine.
there was also a camera fix in one of the forums.

hi mate how about change your kernel just like said below,i prefer siyah and dorimanx with no mali driver.

I have a serious (for me) problem with the touchscreen.
Everything 'started yesterday when I reinstalled via cwm the stock 4.1.2 and I had problems with the keyboard that is that after a few letters typed froze (I could not write for one or two seconds) and thought it was a problem of this rom but I happens everywhere in any part of the touch also with various other rom such as cm10-9.1-10.1-stock .89 and GINGERBREAD
please help me !
