I have updated to Unnamed 2.2.1 and I am assuming they took out tilt calibration with the upgrade to android 2.3.6? I have searched all through the phone and have only found gyro calibration. So are my assumptions correct?
I have it on icscrewd. Maybe unnamed doesnt

Did you try looking through the unnamed thread in Dev to see if anyone else had reported the issue? This is not a General issue and should have at least been posted to Q&A.
No I did not, it hasn't affected the tilt feature of my phone so I just guessed that the gyro was doing the work of both. I will go search through that thread.

Someone will get it sooner or later us cappy users have it through a i9000 kernel and from what I understand that isnt needed u could just change your build.prop to mimic that of the phones that are "ACCEPTED FOR USE"! I recall seeing a thread on this somewhere but im sure you know how to use the search function so good luck!

Stock Rom?
An Update Question: Is battery jump fix applicable to stock ROMs too? I couldnt find verification for this in its topic, anyone used it in a stock rom and had the problem solved?
i have root+unlocked bootloader+CWM, so I'm ready to go. just say go

Ever since my Captivate I've been using my phone to shoot video quite a bit.
When I flashed CM7 onto the Cappy when I would record video it would jump around, backwards, and just mess up entirely. I couldn't see it happen when I was recording. Only on playback. So I flashed stock 2.2 and left it.
I now have the SGSII, so again I try CM7. The camera is performing MUCH better. But still has a slight jump every now and then.
Is this normal?
Also, how would I go about installing a different camera app? I tried a few different ways. Adb and Root explorer to install a "modded camera" to no success. What am I doing wrong?
Sorry if this is in the wrong section. Seemed to be the proper place as it has to do with CM7 and its development.

Hello everyone. I have scoured the WIUI thread and haven't found anyone with my issue. I am trying out WIUI 2.2.17 Stable (GB) v4 and all is good, except my back button wasn't working, so I thought maybe it was a kernel issue, so I reflashed Siyah 2.6.12 and now my back button works, but my HOME button doesn't?!
I noticed on the thread everyone's XDA app signs their posts

Is this simply because the ROM is a port from the I9100 ROM? Or is this ROM actually not intended for my SGH-i777?
If it is intended for my phone, is there a fix for the home button not working?

This probably is a silly question but it probably needs to be asked, did you hellraise it using the tool located in the development section?

If the rom has been ported professionally, then the home button not working is a glitch. If it is hellraised, try repeating the process (wiping, installing) and see if that fixes it. (One explanation for the signature could be because of the hellraising/it thinks it is a i9100)

I'm kinda surpised i haven't seen this posted here yet since i know there's been plenty of talk about it.
I've tested this myself on my vibrant running AOKP v40 and it mostly works. Main bug is that voice search doesn't work. However, cards seem to work ok and it's a nice replacement for regular search too. I believe its AOSP only, but there's been so much progress, that may have changed already.
I have nothing to do with this app or its development -- just thought i'd share -- so leave any comments or issues in this thread linked below.

I think this version is a little different. I tried one from another thread first that had that issue, but I couldn't get cards working properly. This version seemed to work better for me.

Its working better now but still pointless. The while reason Google now rocks is because it talks back to you. Install the port if CM10 and you will have working Google now with voice and plays a sick fast Vibrant
