I appreciate you uploading that file, however it is just a .sbf file and not compressed, I have tried downloading it three times, always failed toward the end. Rapidshare now says the file is unavailable, could someone upload a .zip .gz .7z .rar etc?
DLing to phone as I post. Just wait ~10 sec & choose DL to computer then choose free DL.
Edit ULing a RAR- will take ~3hrs.

Thank you! I was able to get that one downloaded, anyone have an MD5 of the sbf file?
No. I got the sbf from twobrare. He probably got it from his carrier .
I mean an md5 checksum of the file you or anyone else has so I can be sure my download wasn't corrupted, it started and stopped quite a few times.
The .sbf I have is: 15b998d663f1c21b68866f022aebaf3e
So I open the file I ULed in winrar & what?

I'm guessing you're running windows, once you have the .sbf file unpacked run it through a program like MD5-Checker and it will spit out the md5 associated with the file, I can then compare it to mine to be sure the download wasn't corrupted.
Much later tonite then.
Understandable, I really appreciate your help

Do you want the stock *.SBF? I have the zip at work. The instructions wipe everything, including root and unlock, and put your phone back to the day you walked outta Sprint? I only have it because I had Emergenccy yesterday.
Anyway, send your e-mail to [email protected] and I will see what I can........Matter fact, deedscreen sent me different link to download. send me your addy.

Root/Unlock/Relock Method and Files
Root-Unlock-Relock Pack 1/26/12
Download the Root-Unlock-Relock Pack and extract using 7zip. In the zip you will find all the files needed and the instructions. The only thing it doesn't have is full stock SBF's which can also be downloaded from my site.
ive downloaded all three of these files and they contain the stock image but when extracted it gives an error and says it doesnt exist. the other files extract fine???
edit: nvm had to use 7zip. winrar was giving me errors.

Mine has no contents, and I believe that is why I can't update. I really don't know how it got erased, but it seems like I will never be able to fix it if no one else is having this issue it won't be a major concern for developers to work on a fix. I really don't want to take it too Sprint >< I'm not paying for insurance either.

Have you tried using RSD to apply the 198_7 SBF? Not flashing a 198 based rom, but applying the SBF

As far as erasing the PDS partition goes, formatting the internal sd through CWM caused it for me.

I've SBF'ed to 198_7 and 198_6, but I never checked with root browser to see if the pds partition is empty but I STILL could not update profile/prl, and it's 100% that it gets stuck on "Contacting Network" so i have to use the No BP-Airplane mode workaround. I have flashed ROM's right after the SBF's, for instance, ROCKO/Imperium show empty PDS partitions, after a SBF to 198_7

No . I had to replace my phone once because of that. The second time I had been fortunate enough to advance restore the PDS through CWM and fix it like that out of trial and error. I was looking into finding the file that affects the updates but havent found anything conclusive. Edit: (...Yet.)
Well unfortunately PDS contains personal information otherwise I'd offer to zip and post ut for you.

Hmm, would Sprint replace my phone for cheap, off insurance, and if so, how would I go about asking them to replace it? An erased PDS partition is kind of suspicious..
What other issues could an erased PDS partition cause, besides not being able to contact network for updates.

What other issues were you having with the phone, because of the pds?
Stay online ... will have something for you to try in 1 minute.
EDIT - Try
1) Create a folder in PDS named "omadm"
2) Set permission of folder rwxrwx--
3) Download attached zip and place contents from zip into "omadm"
4) All files inside "omadm" should be set to rw-----
5) Reboot

It's a Odin one-click file. I'm really not sure how you can mess this up. Just put your phone into download mode, connect it to USB, run the .exe file and click the button.
I'm not sure if you should really be flashing yet. You should read up more on flashing, bootloaders and odin before hand. It'll save you and everyone else lots of time, in case something goes wrong. Just saying.
Plus, the flashing procedures have been posted countless times. Just search and read.
Edit: pda-odin-rogers-stock-system-boot.img now contains a new boot.img file that hopefully will include the Rogers boot animation. Try it out and let me know how it goes.
These are Odin-flashable .tars of the stock Rogers system, boot/kernel, and radios and can be used to revert to stock.
Files Available
NB: All files are zipped to save space. Please extract the .tar before flashing via Odin.
pda-odin-rogers-stock-system-boot.zip - This .tar contains the stock system.img.ext4 and stock boot.img and can be used to assist in resetting your flash counter using braway's method. Flash it via Odin's pda option. The recovery.img has been removed to preserve CWM if you've already flashed it to your phone. Once your flash counter has been reset, you can then return recovery to stock via this method using just the recovery.img file in the archive here.
phone-odin-rogers-stock-radio.zip - This .tar contains the stock Bell modem/radio and is flashed via Odin's phone option. Not working properly. Apparently I don't know how to make Odin flashable modem .tars, lol
Rogers-Modem-CWM.zip - This is a CWM-flashable .zip of the modem files. Should work perfectly. Let me know if you run into any problems.
SkyDrive Folder of all Rogers Files I've added all the files to my SkyDrive since my public DropBox links keep being suspended due to excessive traffic. Hopefully this solves all future problems.
Disclaimer
I am in no way responsible for any damages caused to your Note by anything you flashed. These files are provided as is to help Rogers Note owners return to stock after whatever they've done to their phones.
Special Thanks
Tearrek for providing all the stock image files.
braway for taking my constant questions and providing much needed guidance in my first developer-ish project as well as for the flash counter reset.

Please post your experiences with these stock Rogers files below and if you have any questions, I'll do my best to help. Enjoy!!

Well crap. I thought I fixed that. I might just package them in a CWM zip instead. Also, you can push them manually using ADB if you feel confident enough. If you extract the two files from the .tar, the code necessary is below.
Code:
adb push amss.bin /tmp/amss.bin
adb push mdm.bin /tmp/mdm.bin
adb shell dd if=/tmp/amss.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13
adb shell dd if=/tmp/mdm.bin of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p17
Be very careful with this and check for typos as an error here can brick your phone as I understand it. This is provided as is and I am in no way responsible for anything you do to your phone.
Thanks to Da_G for this from this post.

Worked perfectly.
searched and couldn't find an answer. Do i need to reset the flash counter before unrooting? running stock everything now, just want to unroot for when the OTA ICS rolls out for rogers.
Yep. Just got a new AT&T Atrix 4G online for a pretty reasonable price. I immediately rooted it and installed ROM Manager so I could install a better ROM instead of the stock Froyo it came with. Hadn't done an mod on an Atrix in a while, so naturally I spaced off UNLOCKING THE BOOTLOADER before starting. I'm such a knucklehead.
So yep... an hour after getting the phone I'm stuck with the good ol' phone frozen in "Failed to boot 2" thing (yes, I've tried pushing VolUp and also dropping out the battery and restarting).
IIRC, I might be able to fix it if I can flash a stock 2.2.2 SBF with RSDLite, but the problem is that I can't seem to find a Froyo SBF anywhere. All the links I find seem to be dead. Ideas on where to find one? Something else I can do to bring this thing back from the dead?
Any and all help appreciated.

Sorry for the n00bish question. I couldn't find the "these files have pudding" sign. XD
If this file isn't pudding, would you mind pointing out the one that is?
I know that rsd is NOT (very much so) recommended but I'm comfortable using it under the proper conditions.
I also saw this thread but I'll leave my query to the above for now.
