Starting a new thread since my other thread got destroyed, what is generally perceived to be the best case style? I`m thinking of just a sleeve, UT then if I drop it whilst using it it wont be protected. Is there a good one for both keyboard and tablet, or is it best to get two separate ones?
Thank you, suggestions would be appreciated!

If you usually leave your keydock in all the time, I would def get a case that fits both.
I guess it depends on what way you're gonna use it more often.
I'm also thinking of getting just a sleeve type of case, that can fit just the tablet or both tablet+keyboard.
I would be using it at sixthform so will be using the keyboard a lot! But, wouldn't need one for both whilst in use I guess?

Search for "Asus TF101 keyboard case" on Ebay, see if that works!

all the cases that can take the tablet and the dock together look horrible. they cover up all the surroundings of the tablet and the dock. like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Navitech-Ex...3C/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1325682973&sr=8-16
or this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Luxury-Leat...4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1325683050&sr=1-4
i found the best combination was to use the blurex style cases for the tablet, they allow you to connect the dock and its perfectly useable, you just cant close the case fully with the dock attached.
if i am out and about and just using the tablet i just use the blurex cases. if i am out and about and using the dock too i put the blurex case and dock seperatley in this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Protective-...?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1325683050&sr=1-17
I really like my Tuff-Luv case. But it "suffers" from the bezel covering issue so you probably wouldn't like it. I like that the bit for the keyboard comes right off, with some heavy duty snaps, for when I just want the tablet only.

The case made by asus is an almost exactly copy of the ipad 1 case... This is similar and is on buy.com http://mobile.buy.com/ibuy/ProductDetail.aspx?loc=108&sku=223077071&adid=18094&siteID=je6NUbpObpQ-3xsoAE_5o0Bb8aU4ozypEQ

Have you used one? If so I would think you would be a little less jealous. The magnets and bracket are flimsy so it bends and/or falls off pretty easily. Also in the completely open (bent back) position it doesnt quite fit the ipad right. Also a couple of people Ive known have had the magnetic off/on stop working, one would assume it was an alignment issue.
Its an interesting idea and I can understand they want to stick to the magnets for simplicity but its not the most durable solution.

I do not know of any silicone cases that can remain totally in position when the tablet is attached to the docking station HOWEVER you can just release the silicone case from the bottom of the tablet and it then fits easily into the dock BUT remember that whilst on the dock the case is bent up at the back of the tablet a little.

I'm not quite sure if I understand the pictures well and how this really works ?
Is the Dock also protected by a silicone case or only the Tablet ?
Is it possible to have a retailer link or the manufacturer link for this product to have additional pictures, details and price ?
Thx

There's another piece for the dock. I didn't have it on, though. In fact, I just took the silicone off and put on carbon fiber skin. The silicone added probably 50 pounds to the overall weight.
It's the following skin.
http://www.overstock.com/Electronic...Soft-Gel-Case/6434147/product.html?cid=123620
Just measure very carefully and very very carefully cut out the bottom. Just use your imagination. Look at my pictures again. See how everything fits?
Arobase40 said:
Hmmm, I exercised my imagination pretty hard but couldn't find out the dock piece nor how the silicone gel skin can add "50 POUNDS" (22.68 kg) to the overall weight.
I was also searching on eBay, but couldn't find anything close to the product described on the OP...
The intention was good anyway.

You have a pretty crappy imagination
I think he used 2 modified skins from his link and modified both to fit the hinge and dock.
Also it looks like a decimal was misplaced lol. .50 lbs I could see.

Ever heard of an exaggeration to make a point?
It was more at the other guy saying he couldn't see how it could add 50lbs, but good on ya

Since I already have a BT Keyboard and mouse, and they work great with the TP I couldn't justify the $150 for the dock, but at the same time I really wanted a stand that would let me have the tablet plugged in to the cord and standing up. I just picked up the Griffin Tablet Stand for iPad +other tablets at Walmart and it is fits perfectly. The stand is designed just right to prop up the tab and the slot for the charging/usb cable is a perfect fit.
Good deal for $25
I use the Satechi R1
I use one of these (when not using my keyboard dock)
http://www.padpivot.com/
I got one of these as part of the Kickstarter project for this product, and it is incredibly rugged, incredibly versatile, portable and works with practically any flat device including the TF Prime.
I used this with my iPad1 and now use it with my Prime.

Have a dual screen setup running off of a laptop at work, so I put this on top of my closed laptop, and it provides perfect positioning.
Also has the ability to stand the tab up like a normal stand, for $15 can't beat it!

I just made this in a few mins using a 4 inch pvc pipe, it works, and i can still charge my prime while using it which is nice
LocknLoad,
The Satechi stand looks nice, but slightly pricey. From what I can say it does look nicely made and sturdy though. Does it travel well?
I kind of like the appearance of the Griffin Xpo, but haven't heard much about anyone using it.

So I am guessing nobody actually went to the link in the OP's post since you all are just linking the case you own and not really answering his question.
To the OP: No, I am pretty sure a "click in" case like the one in your link doesn't exist for TF101. The one made for Prime won't fit a TF101 either.
Thank's your the only one actually answering my question.
I was thinking that my English was in fact Chinese!
Too bad that the click in doesn't exist I will persist the search. I really like the case.
Best regards

Does the dock fit with this and close properly?
It fits really well. It closes nicely when the dock is attached. Without the dock you have the two snaps for the cover that show, but with the dock it closes nicely (However, it adds some bulk

i would love to see the click in case in person to determine why it doesn't work on the tf101. I don't feel like spending $40 for the privilege though.
Hi all,
I was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction for a decent case that protects better than a generic fit 10.1" case I could buy at the local Wal-Mart. I use my tablet with the dock attached 98% of the time and it travels to work and home with me everyday. I would love to have it in a good protective case that would allow the dock to remain attached but I didn't know if anything existed, or at least something I can't seam to find.

I like the Gumdrop brand myself. Not 100% hardshell, heck the bak is rubber with no exo-skelton of any kind. Does come with integrated/replaceable screen protection and it covers all openings. Check it out.
You may also want to check out Bob J Gear.
I have a gumdrop case on my Galaxy Tab. It is a good case but I would like to maintain 100% usability of my keyboard/dock

That's pretty nice, I may give that a go and see how it is. I need to find something, today I left my tablet on top of a 6 foot tall 480v transformer and it fell out of my passenger seat of my truck going down the interstate so it takes some abuse. But I use the dock for typing documents 3-7 times a day which is why it is important I can keep it attached.
