BT - Paired but not connected MIUI - TouchPad General

This might belong to General or Q&A but I think it's development problem.
I have MIUI on my TP and my BT HP keyboard wont connect. It says 'Paired but not connected'
Is this problem with the ROM or it just doesn't work with Android? Is there a way to fix this or should I change to CM/Xron?
I have no problem with connection on WebOS.

yeah im gonnna have to go with Q&A section too
but to answer you
Leos 2.8 odexed is tight.. and 99% of everything i have tried is purdy sturdy

I had the same problem come up when I am using a bluetooth OBD II reader in my car and the program Torque from the market. It will say paired, but not connected. I then had to go into the Torque application settings and select the device and it works just fine.

I got the bt keyboard to pair in android. When it asks for a password on the tp screen, put in 0000 then right away type 0000 then hit enter on the keyboard and it will connect. Hope this helps.

Having problems connecting BT-R920 receiver with wizard bluetooth

I have a rebadged BT-R920 from semsons and i'm having trouble connecting it to wizard's bluetooth. The wizard recognizes the receiver but doesn't actually connect. a blinking blue light on the receiver should indicate the connection of the bluetooth but yeh nothing. anyways if anyone has this figured out i would appreciate it very much. thanks
in the bluetooth device page, theres a question mark icon and i made sure to use it as serial port.
Dont you need a subscription/service plan to use that?

Ive got a question mark icon near my BT receiver too, but it doesn't affect anything. The blinking blue light just means that the receiver is pumping a bluetooth signal not meaning it's connected though.
In Comm Menu open:
Settings/Bluetooth Settings/COM Ports/New Outgoing Port (use COM7 listed w/ receiver)
COM6 is for Incoming Port(nothing will be listed w/ it)
Open your GPS software and make sure that it lists COM7 as the COM Port, Baud Rate 4800. Happy Trails

[New Project] Help needed on getting TMC running on X10 Navigation

Hi Ppl.,
I'm starting a new project with this thread.
Goal is to get TMC running within Navigation Software on X10.
As we all know from the specs and my determining over here, that there is no FM Chip assembled to the X10.
But our User drobec208 had the Idea to make use of an external bluetooth / TMC device.
The Idea is to use the "FM9BT-C", made by GNS GmbH with "usually TMCable" navigation software. (Nice side affect: FM9BT-C also brings a 5V, 1A USB Charger ).
I ordered one FM9BT-C and received it yesterday.
As I make use of Sygic mobile maps for Android, I knew from the .ini files, that TMC is just deactivated after stock installation of Sygic.
Within the folder: "\sdcard\Drive\Android\" you can find the .ini files too.
But now, I'm a little stuck.
I can't even connect FM9BT-C to X10.
Pairing works fine, but the my phone shows: "Paired but not connected".
I also can't connect both devices.
I guess, it's the same issue, like I had with my Bluetooth keyboard:
Android 1.6 is simply not capable for HID Devices.
So I guess its same with the TMC Device.
The TMC Device needs to be set up with a COM Port.
But atm I don't even get so far.
So guys, whats your advice?
Any Devs around, that can help out?
Do I have to wait for 2.1 this month?
Is Android not TMC capable at all?
Kind regards,
McK
O.k., as far as I could determine myself, a Bluetooth COM Port is needed for sure.
But how can I set it up in Android?
Is is that impossible with 1.6?
if it's connected via BT I'm affraid the problem is limited Bluetooth profiles support on 1.6. The USB on FM9BT-C is just for charging?
O.k., I feared something like that.
As the Update to 2.1 will come in a few Weeks, we will see more, after it was released.
Du you know something about the profiles in 2.1?
Japp, the USB connector is for charging only.
not much, just google I'm waiting for 2.x just because of BT profiles and my SE MBW-150 support via OpenWatch http://beta.smartmadsoft.com/
http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-2.0-highlights.html#PlatformTechnologies
http://www.google.com/support/forum...n&fid=40c6f9447eac44e600047f171034e819&hltp=2
otherwise I'm affraid we have to wait for 2.2
http://developer.android.com/sdk/android-2.2-highlights.html#PlatformTechnologies
I've also recently found this Thread in a German Forum:
http://www.android-hilfe.de/439320-post42.html
Roughly, fast and only the important thing translated: Wit Android 2.1 for X10, the Bluetooth Stack will be updated to Bluetooth V 2.1, which introduces:
- secure simple pairing
- GAP Generic Access Profile
- GOEP Generic Object Exchange Profile
- OPP Object Push Profile
- PBAP Phonebook Access Profile
- SPP Serial Port Profile
So, we have to wait a little more....
@MBW-150: OMG? S///E X10 isn't supporting a S///E Bluetooth Watch... *[email protected]///E*
Uhm, bad news.
I still get "paired but not connected".
Even after updating to 2.1.
I guess the connection has to be initiated by software (like on the bluetooth keyboards).
Does anybody know the name or so of the bluetooth com port?
I'd try to connect through Sygic Mobile Maps.
hi, I'm not glad to hear that.
what happens if you try to find TMC device from within the Sygic?
P.S: My MBW-150 finaly works with X10

Unfortunately: Nothing...
My last hope is to set the bluetooth comport manually within Sygic.
With a little chance, it will activate the connection if it knows the way...
But I don't know the port
Is there an app, to list the ports or so?
maybe http://code.google.com/p/android-serialport-api/ ?
Uhm... I have no idea how to use that App

[Q] How do I pair my BT Mouse (without passcode)

hi there,
since froyo the A101IT is perfect for me. i was wondering if I can pair my speedlink bluetooth mouse which I use for my thinkpad but i'm not able to pair it with my tablet, because android always wants me to enter the bleutooth passcode. the speedlink mouse does not use a passcode, it pairs BT without a code.
how do I tell android to pair the bluetooth mouse without code? if I dont enter anything the OK button is greyed out ...
Did you try entering 0000 as a passcode?
Moved to general as not android development

yea, and 1234, neither work as it tells me that the code is incorrect - I have a MS wireless BT mouse. I was frustrated, and glad to see im not alone.
did you try leaving the passcode blank - seems obvious - but that is what you are "TOLD" to do on Windows
- Stephen
sure i tried leaving it blank but you can't continue because the button is grayed out.
i also tried 0000 and 1234 of course but the 101 just tells me, that the code is incorrect.
as soon as you enter something in the input field the button is clickable. if i delete the entered code the button keeps clickable for a second, but if i press it quick, it still says incorrect code i thought there is an app for everything ....
@Mr. Clown
sorry for that
other default i have seen is 1111
- Stephen
no chance... my mouse requests a blank code ...
I have the same problem on my at&t streak running official froyo 340 . My bluetake bt510 white bluetooth mouse requires no passkey but the dell streak always asks for one I also tried 0000, 1234 and many others with no pairing success but I think I found the answer well sort of not really well because on my at&t samsung captivate running froyo also (ji6) it automatically pairs with no pop up to enter pin or passkey obviously theres a diference but I highly doubt its hardware related but this info in the right hands should help all of us no passkey bluetooth pairers lol...
Any solution for this?
Is this really something that no one can solve? Sorry for bumping old post but I'm also having this problem with Interlink Bluetooth Mouse + Galaxy Tab 10.1. It does not give me the option to choose no passkey; however, the mouse *requires* no passkey.
Anyone find out yet? I have the same issue?
Just got my Razer ProClick mouse to work with SGS3.
At first SGS3 software always promted me for a PIN code and I know that my mouse has none. It wouldn't allow me to input a blanck code...
What I did was I connected a normal USB mouse (well, not really normal - a Cyborg RAT 7 lol) via a micro USB to USB cable then disconnected it. Then I simply tried pairing the Bluetooth mouse again and it didn't ask me for any PIN code! It just paired automatically. Must have picked up some mouse drivers via USB from another mouse, I don't know.... but it works flawlessly now.
Maybe someone will find it helpful...
If i remember you can enter 0000 or 1234 try those codes. Check archos fans forum mentioned the accessories section.

[Q] How to pair bluetooth mouse? PIN problem

Hello.
Galaxy S2 I9100 ICS (LPQ) finds my Acer N551 bluetooth mouse, but when try to pair the phone asks for PIN (passcode), tryed 0000 , 1111 , 1234 .... but no succes!
When connecting the same mouse to laptop it doesn't ask for any PIN (passcode). But my phone don't allow me to hit OK without any symbol...
Not supported or what? Please help
I had this problem and tried several times and finally it worked with 0000.
try it more than 10 times.
no... I cant connect... 100 times tryied, restarted phone and mouse... maybe Acer have entered some code? Google didn't help me...
Did you reset the mouse? Look under the mouse or look at instructions papers.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
there is no reset buton... only ON/OFF and SCAN button... and yes, i have switched ON/OFF several times and still the same problem
I dont have instructions for the mouse... it was gift with laptop
Did you press the scan button?
Does your phone say "Attention. Unable to establish communication with Acer N551"?
If it does, then it's all about the reset button.
I tried connecting my mouse without reseting it and it says that above. it maybe somewhere inside where the battery is.
Edit: Never mind googled your mouse and I can see it only has a scan button. I dont really no how to help here.
yes, I pres scan and Galaxy S2 finds it and trying to connect but asking for PIN... thanks for helping

My 4.2.1 System is missing Bluetooth PAN / DUN Support

Hey Guys,
first post here, so hopefully i don't do anything wrong
Got myself a Freelander PX1 Tablet with Android 4.2.1. Unfortunately I am stuck while trying to use my phone's internet connection via bluetooth. From what it looks like my android system is missing the Private Area Network PAN client support. (no /system/bin/pand)
Is there any way to 'install' this? As the tablet also does not recognize ad-hoc wifi spots I am unable to go online
Thanks!
Cheers
-Daniel
anyone?
I'm wondering the same thing. I just managed to pair an older Lenovo A1 Gingerbread 2.3.4 with a Galaxy S4 JellyBean/CyanogenMod 10.2 by having them pair, then the phone turn on Bluetooth tether (which Gingerbread doesn't support), and connect to the PAN from the tablet using pand.
This works but it's a complete pain that JellyBean doesn't have pand anymore!? Meaning I can't hope to repeat this with 2 JellyBean devices, only older and newer, or some set of in-the-middle Android versions...

sorry to hear that at least that means its not my fault^^
Ok! I happen to have this this post open in my browser so I thought I would share in my success, however obvious it is.
I managed to get a hold of a 2nd JB device. I tested this with 2 Samsung S4s. On the "master" device go into settings -> Network More... -> Tethering- > Enable Bluetooth sharing. Don't do this on the other device. Then pair the devices like normal. The end device should automatically tether through the 1st "master" device. You'll see a BT icon with brackets around it in the system tray. The BT icon will be lit blue on both devices.
If you get into the adb shell and have iwconfig around, on both devices you'll see a new network called "bt-pan". The "master" device will be a .1 (e.g. 192.168.40.1) while the "slave" will be given a DHCP address from the "master". (e.g. 192.168.40.124)
The "pand" tool set is not longer needed. You can just pair normally with newer devices. If you're pairing an older Android device that has bluetooth but not the bluetooth tether option in setting, like my Lenovo A1 GingerBread (which I keep for testing), you'll need to manually using pand to setup the PAN. There are apps that will do this for you.
Hope this helps.
